"There is no signal."
That was the only message that appeared on the screen after attempting to contact "Nagalos."
The doppelgänger of Adam showed no visible reaction, calmly withdrawing his hand from the control panel. The red lines that had spread across the computer faded away as if they had never been there.
A silence fell over the place, and the doppelgänger stood motionless for a few moments. Beside him, the massive gorilla remained still, its gleaming eyes still bearing the same symbol, while the transformed rabbits inside the cylinders silently observed the scene.
Slowly, the doppelgänger turned and headed toward the large opening above that led outside the lab. His steps were steady, surrounded by an aura of mystery that hinted at determination.
At the edge of the opening, he paused briefly, then leaped with ease and grace that seemed at odds with his human form. The gorilla followed immediately with a powerful leap that caused a slight tremor in the ground, and the transformed rabbits followed them with remarkable agility.
As they all reached the surface, the sunlight bathed the surrounding ruins.
The doppelgänger of Adam did not stop at the surface but continued walking with confident steps, his eyes fixed ahead. Behind him, the gorilla followed without hesitation, while the two transformed rabbits ran beside him, their long tails swaying in harmony.
The doppelgänger continued his journey through the dense forest, with the gorilla and the transformed rabbits moving steadily and silently behind him. They maintained this pace for several hours until an unusual sight appeared before them: a primitive village surrounded by thick trees.
What set this village apart was that all its inhabitants were gorillas.
The doppelgänger stopped in the middle of the road leading to the village, silently observing the gorillas as they worked and moved in perfect harmony. Suddenly, the silence was broken by a voice from above:
"Jojo!"
The doppelgänger of Adam immediately raised his head toward the source of the voice, realizing it was coming from a small gorilla standing atop one of the relatively large trees. The small gorilla's features bore a mix of curiosity and confusion, and it appeared to be staring at the large gorilla accompanying the doppelgänger, whose name seemed to be "Jojo."
The small gorilla descended gracefully from the tree, leaping from branch to branch until it reached the ground in front of them. It appeared quite small compared to Jojo.
With a voice filled with caution and wonder, the small gorilla looked at the doppelgänger of Adam, then back at Jojo, and asked, "Who are these people with you?"
The doppelgänger of Adam remained silent for a moment, observing the scene in front of him, while Jojo stayed quiet as well.
The doppelgänger of Adam took slow steps toward the small gorilla, his eyes fixed on its face. The small gorilla continued to gaze at him in confusion before speaking again: "You're human, but you look different... and your clothes are strange."
The small gorilla continued to watch the doppelgänger of Adam warily, but as the doppelgänger of Adam approached, something changed. Suddenly, with a swift motion, the doppelgänger grabbed the small gorilla's face. Instantly, red lines began to spread across the small gorilla's face in an eerie manner, causing it to shiver slightly. The small gorilla struggled to push the doppelgänger's hands away with all its might, but every attempt was futile. The doppelgänger remained unmoved, holding firm.
After a few moments, the small gorilla's resistance began to wane. Its arms fell limp to the ground, and its body stood motionless, as though its spirit had left its body.
When the doppelgänger removed his hand from the small gorilla's face, the gorilla's eyes snapped open. But they were no longer the same. The strange symbol that marked the doppelgänger of Adam and the other transformed creatures now appeared in its eyes, confirming that he had gained complete control over it.
The doppelgänger of Adam lifted his head and cast a determined glance at the village ahead. His gaze was filled with an unmistakable air of absolute control.
***********************************
In the quiet forest, where Kath and Beebo's treehouse stood, Adam lay on his bed, lost in deep thought. The golden rays of sunlight streamed through the window beside him, bathing the room in a warm glow, but his mind was far away.
"Is there another human?" This was the only thought occupying his mind. He recalled Beebo's words about the capsule he had been found in, and how there was another capsule beneath the ground, in that dark place where he had been discovered after a long slumber.
As time passed, he began to think more about the lab he had been in, the place that might hold answers to his past. But what troubled him most was that, so far, the lab was located in a city fully controlled by the transformed bear king.
That city was surrounded by monsters, and with the transformed bear ruling it with an iron fist, entering it seemed impossible without facing grave danger. So, as the light poured in through the window, Adam tried to figure out how to return to that ruined city, but he was at a loss. How could he face this enormous threat? What was his next step?
A small screen appeared floating in front of Adam after he summoned it. The data on it glowed faintly as Adam focused on it intently, attempting to analyze every piece of information that appeared before him.
Name: Adam Nile
Level: 2
Experience Points: 20 / 5
Free Points: 6
Strength: 5
Speed: 5
Defense: 5
Energy: 5
Adam was staring at the screen with sharp eyes, absorbing the information in front of him. The "Experience Points" were the first thing that caught his attention, as it indicated that he needed five more points to level up to the next stage.
There was something else that caught Adam's attention: the word "Transformations" that appeared on the screen. As soon as he clicked on it, a new page appeared. On this page, there was an image representing the fiery transformation that Adam had undergone earlier. But beside it, there was another image of strange, shaded shapes, as if they were incomplete. Above each shaded shape was an empty bar, with a small "+" symbol next to it.
"So, these are other transformations I can undergo?" Adam murmured to himself, staring at the dark images in front of him. But a strange feeling washed over him, as if he was familiar with these images, as though part of him already knew them.
"Transformations... monsters... aliens?" Adam whispered to himself as he stared at the silhouettes in front of him.
And the moment he said "aliens," his eyes suddenly widened, as if something in his mind had stirred.
Suddenly, memories began to flood Adam's mind. He was sitting in front of a wide TV screen watching a cartoon series he loved so much. The main character in the show had a strange watch that allowed him to transform into alien creatures. It was a scene that fascinated him every time he saw it, and he wished he could own something similar.
As Adam was lost in watching, there was a teenage boy sitting next to him.
Then suddenly, the memory was interrupted, and Adam returned to reality, his face filled with shock. His mind was trying to piece things together, but what he had just seen left him stunned.
Adam shouted excitedly as he sat on his bed, his face tense with shock and excitement: "I remembered... I remembered the show... and the boy who was sitting next to me, he must have been my brother or my friend!"
Memories surged in his mind like crashing waves.
Staring at the fiery transformation image on the screen, Adam spoke in a calm voice, yet filled with amazement: "The main character of the show had a fiery alien transformation, just like the one I turned into!"
Adam gazed at the shadowed images displayed before him on the screen, his thoughts oscillating between confusion and awe. He stared at each image, each transformation, and every shaded form in those incomplete pictures.
"Is this system the same as the alien watch from the show?" The question repeated itself in his mind, as if that moment was the turning point in his understanding of everything happening around him.
"But it's strange to gain a power similar to the cartoon I loved?"
"Is this... a coincidence?"
