Chapter 2 - Ch.2 How did I get here?(2)

"You may be wondering how I got here."

"Well, it goes a month back."

A month ago, in a small village, the sun rose as always, and with the roars of the chickens, yes roars. Everybody started their day.

In this village, a somewhat rich-looking house door opened as a young boy walked out holding a hoe.

He was wearing a straw hat and simple village clothes but it couldn't hide his handsome look which made him stand out among all the villagers.

"Look how hardworking that Yucheng boy is, Why can't you be like that."

A village aunty questioned as she hit her son, who was enjoying watermelon. The boy had an aggrieved look but he didn't dare raise his voice.

There was some jealousy in his eyes as he looked at the boy, after all, someone the same age as him not only was the most handsome but also the strongest person in the village.

"If not for his sick father, he would have already left the village to start his martial journey."

Some random uncle next to them muttered as he looked at the boy rushing toward the farmlands.

"Well, at least he is filial."

The aunty said to the uncle as she entered her house after giving her slacker son another kick in the butt.

The boy running like a running horse reached the farmland, harvest season had just passed so a lot of crops still needed to be planted.

Although a 16-year-old like him shouldn't be doing such hard labor, alas his father is sick so he must earn food for his family.

"Hardworking as always."

Some old people complimented him while also giving their greetings, the boy replied before quickly tending to his field.

The sun was shining down and the sweat trickled down his forehead, but he didn't stop as if he didn't feel any heat.

Half a day passed as the uncles and old men in the field marveled at the hardworking boy who was continuing his work.

Even they had gotten tired as they were resting under the shade of large trees eating their lunch.

"With his physique, he really will be a great martial artist."

"Maybe even the next Martial God."

The uncles talked while smiling and laughing as they looked at the boy, although they also wondered why their sons couldn't be like this hardworking boy.

"Haa."

Yucheng He released a deep breath as he stopped to wipe the sweat on his forehead, as he was about to continue his figure stopped.

His nose twitched as his face became stern, a trace of fear flashed passed his eyes as he gripped his hoe with all his strength.

"Blood."

He muttered as he looked toward the direction of the village, nothing had changed and no big incident had happened.

But his intuition was warning him like crazy, plus the vomit-inducing smell of blood he smelled from the direction of the Weeping Mountain confirmed his intuition.

Looking at the cheerful uncles laughing and taking he was sure that he was the only one that had noticed this.

"Run, Danger!!!"

He shouted toward the uncles before rushing toward his house, as for why he didn't explain the reason to them well it would waste a lot of time.

The uncles looked at the boy running figure with confusion as they looked at each other, some stood up to follow the boy.

But alas it was too late as an arrow pierced his head, his bloody body fell to the ground and the other uncles were stunned due to the shock.

"Kill all those above 30, they will make good blood pills."

A middle-aged man in Taoist clothes spoke as he got out of the forest connected to the weeping mountain.

"Yes, Lord."

Hundreds of men in leather clothes shouted in unison as they took out a cutlass from their waist and rushed toward the village.

The uncles seeing this scene started to run but were drowned by the flooding of the leather-covered people.

Only their bloodied dead body remained as the village was swarmed, the same situation was happening in all nearby villages and cities.

Yucheng He was running with all his strength, he had heard the screams behind him but he didn't dare stop.

The only thing on his mind was the safety of his father, he could feel the smell of blood getting more intense.

Finally after ignoring everything else and running, he reached his house, opening the door in a hurry he looked inside.

Inside was a simple room with a bed and a small kitchen to the side, in that bed, a middle-aged man was lying down with a sickly look on his face.

Seeing his father safe he released a sigh of relief as the grip to the hoe loosened.

Perhaps due to the loud noise the middle-aged man woke up as he looked at his son in the door.

"What happened, son?"

He asked in a weak voice as he tried to get up, normally Yucheng would have told his father to rest but this wasn't the time for that.

"Father let's go, something big has happened."

He spoke as he went toward his father who was resting on the bed.

"Something big?"

The father spoke with confusion but he didn't try to argue with his son, just as he was about to get up he heard sounds of screams from outside the door.

His eyes contracted as he understood that the village was under attack, and then he looked at his son.

"Sigh.."

With a heavy heart, he bent down and picked up a bag from under the bed.

"Take this bag."

He spoke as he threw the bag, Yucheng caught it and strapped it behind his back. Walking toward his father he was about to pick him up but his father stopped him.

"Take that bag and run."

The man spoke to his son in a heavy tone, he didn't want to be a burden and drag his son to the underworld with him.

"Father but..."

Yucheng was about to refute but his father didn't give him a chance.

"Stop, My son. I wouldn't live long anyway."

"And I don't want to drag down your future with me."

"Also, don't you want to find your true parents?"

The man spoke as he looked at his son with eyes filled with love, the child he adopted has grown up so well.

If only he could spend more time with this boy.

"Father, Don'...."

Booooooooom!!

He was about to pick his father up by force but the door behind him burst apart as wooden chips flew everywhere.

"Hohoho, Look what we have here."

A man in leather closed walked inside the house as he looked at the father-child duo. His face and cutlass were covered with fresh blood and a ferocious smile was etched on his face.

He gave an intense murderous aura as the father broke down in cold sweat.

But facing such a murderous man Yucheng wasn't a bit scared, he gripped the hoe in his hand as killing intent flashed passed his eyes.

His eyes were as ferrous as a hunter looking at prey, but due to his arrogance, the leather-wearing man failed to notice it.

"You boy, get out and stand together with all others in your village or die."

The man spoke as he licked up the blood from his cutlass.

"What about my father."

Yucheng asked as he looked at the man.

"Of course he will die, making a good blood pill."

"Advancing my cultivation will be his honor, hohohoho."

The man spoke as he broke down in a maniacal laughter.

"Now, get out of my way boy."
