Chapter 3 - the first defeat

Mia's training was brutal, as usual. She had me running drills and practicing punches, kicks, and weapon techniques until my arms and legs felt like noodles. I didn't see the point of all this training, but she kept saying, "You'll understand soon." I wasn't so sure.

The next day, I went to school hoping for a normal day, but of course, that didn't happen. I noticed Mia standing in the hallway with bandages on her face. "Mia! What happened?" I called out, trying to get her attention.

Before she could reply, the principal stormed over. "You! Go to class!" he barked at me. I had no choice but to leave Mia behind and head to my classroom, where the day only got worse.

During break, Haromi, the class troublemaker, decided I was his new target. He and his group of bullies surrounded me, throwing insults and trying to intimidate me. Before I could say anything, a voice cut through the tension.

"Leave him alone."

I turned to see Aizawa standing there, her arms crossed and her expression sharp. Next to her was Nier, who looked bored but observant. Haromi smirked. "Fine. Aizawa, you deal with him."

I was about to ask what that meant when Aizawa stepped forward. "If you're so eager to fight, fight me," she said.

I didn't even have time to process her words before her fist connected with my face. BAM! The world spun, and I stumbled back, feeling blood trickle from my nose. "What the—?!" I barely got the words out before she followed up with a kick to my ribs.

Her moves were fast, clean, and precise. She wasn't just strong—she was a force of nature. Nier watched from the sidelines and muttered, "Told you not to mess with her."

Before I knew it, I was on the ground, defeated. Blood dripped from my face, and Aizawa stood over me like a victorious warrior.

Humiliated and determined to never lose again, I went home with a fiery resolve. I grabbed my brother Sumo's phone, hoping to search for ways to improve myself. "Sumo, can I borrow this for a bit?"

Sumo hesitated. "Uh… sure, but don't go through my stuff!"

I nodded, pretending to agree. As soon as he left, I unlocked the phone and immediately stumbled upon… well, let's just say something weird.

At first, I didn't understand what I was looking at. A bunch of tabs were open with videos of people—let's say—doing adult things. My innocent brain couldn't fully process it, but something clicked. "Wait… is this... is this what I think it is?!"

Sumo came back into the room and saw my horrified face. "Bro! I told you not to open that!" he shouted, snatching the phone from my hands.

"Sumo, WHAT IS THIS?!" I yelled, half disgusted and half amused.

"It's… nothing! Forget it! Just use your own phone!" he stammered, turning bright red.

I burst out laughing. "You're into THIS kind of stuff?! Oh man, I'm never letting you live this down!"

Sumo groaned, clearly embarrassed. "Can you just focus on your training or whatever you were doing?"

Hunni is just watching and laughing at us.

Still chuckling, I finally got around to searching for something useful. That's when I decided to learn Taekwondo. It focused on kicks, which seemed like a good fit for me, and it was free to learn offline.

The memory of her punches and kicks haunted me as I started my training. She'd beaten me soundly, but I wasn't going to let that happen again.

And as for Sumo… let's just say he's got some explaining to do.
