" Vice-chairman it's a misunderstanding" the man stood up immediately Alexandro barged into his office and Avary followed quietly behind him.
Avary looked at his features, his brown eyes, his petite frame and his dark brown hair swept to one side. She quickly realised it was Executive Leon the Executive Manager of Orlen Group.
"Secretary Avary leave us" Alexandro spoke with anger laced in his voice.
Avary left without even looking back, the tension in the room was electrifying.
"How dare you go to a massage parlor during working hours?" Alexandro roared his deep voice penetrating the furnished french door .
Avary pitied Executive Leon she Knew better than to infuriate her boss. Out of curiosity Avary peeked through the door that was opened slightly to see her boss pacing around the office, his left brow raising up in disgust.
"I'm sorry" executive Leon said bowing in respect, beads of sweat were forming quickly on his forehead.
"You're an Executive, what about my company's reputation? " Alexandro exclaimed
"It was just a mistake sir" Executive Leon blurted
"Just a mistake" Alexandro mimicked taking large strides forward
"A mistake that could cost you your life? My company's name is all over social media!" Alexandro clenched his fists in anger
Executive Leon was speechless,he opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out. He was like a fish struggling to survive.
"Secretary Avary" Alexandro beckoned
"Yes, sir" Avary responded rushing into the office
"Next appointment?"
"A meeting for the new market" Avary replied
Alexandro sighed giving Executive Leon a death glare before leaving the office.
"Mr vice-chairman, vice-chairman!" Executive Leon called out but Alexandro turned deaf ears to his pleads.
"Executive leon don't be disappointed " Avary spoke her voice void of emotion
"Failure of another project,and this bad news coincided" Avary said shaking her head in disappointment, she knew she was slowly becoming heartless like her boss.
"Great expectations can lead to great disappointments. That's why he's so mad at you" Avary continued
"He made a lot of efforts to stop the disclosure of our company's name" Avary sighed staring at the young man in his mid thirties.
"Secretary Avary what's wrong with me?" Executive Leon asked his voice cracking as he spoke.
" I was out of my mind" he sobbed quietly while falling on his knees.
"Remember the lesson you learned this time and do better in the future" Avary said cautiously.
"Why don't you call it a day and take a rest?" Avary patted the distressed Executive's back softly.
"I'm off work then" Executive Leon smiled brightly wiping his tears away in joy as he walked out of his office.
"So he's going to keep his job?" Sandra who is director Chase's secretary asked in confusion
Avary smiled dialing the clean-up managers number, take care of Executive Leon's desk amd possessions immediately she said blatantly.
"The vice-chairman never gives second chances" she replied whilst walking out of the office.
********Meeting Room************
"The goal is to take over the global markets and make it number one here as a top ten global company in three years. As soon as the announcement is public,to accelerate the marketing growth".
"We plan to intensify orders from the USA, India, and Vietnam".
The head of board directors Chase Luken spoke moving his left hand to indicate the market structure shown on the projector beside him.
"According to the financial statement in the business plan, the current assets are 2.024 trillion dollars, the current liabilities are 0.94 billion dollars, so the current ratio is as much as 275%".
Chase cleared his throat waiting for Alexandro to object then a round of applause erupted from the room.
Chase heaved a sigh of relief suddenly Alexandro raised his right hand up in objection, everyone stopped clapping, the room became odddly silent as a graveyard.
Avary who is sitting next to Alexandro shifted awkwardly in her arm chair when all eyes fell on them.
"215.31915%" Alexandro corrected
"Pardon? " Chase responded lifting his left hand closer to his left ear pretending not to hear what Alexandro said.
"If the current assets are 2.024 trillion, and the current liabilities are 0.94 billion, isn't the current ratio 215.31915% director Chase?"
Alexandro crossed his legs raising his left brow in question
Avary lips quivered, how can this man be so cold and ruthless even to director Chase his closest friend?
"You're right sir, how did this figure - - -director Chase stuttered searching for his phone in his pockets to check the calculations correctly.
"Complete the acquisition" Alexandro said while standing up
The 21 board directors stood up bowing their heads in unison
"This meeting is over" Alexandro left the meeting room without acknowledging their submissiveness.
