Chapter 13 - When Kings Go To War

Their clash caused a violent explosion sending shockwaves of Void energy and Astral energy, throughout land it caused an earthquake making the area rumble. Admist the rumble Kriel stared down at Zenith mocking him..

"I'll send to depth of the void like I did to Zero. After that I'll kill your entire bloodline in the most brutal imaginationable After that I'll make your women my slave" Kriel said remorseless with an evil grin.

"It seems your becoming less human as the fight continues I guess the fun is over boy it's bedtime". Zenith said with a serious face

Zenith's expression turned cold, the air fractured like glass under his gaze. His playful arrogance evaporated, replaced by an ancient and unyielding presence. Even the sound of his voice carried a weight that made Kriel's knees tremble.

"You know," Zenith said softly, his voice like distant thunder, "it's been three hundred years since anyone has seen this." His marks began to pulse with rhythmic precision, their glow intensifying until they seemed to etch the fabric of space itself. "The Primordial Mark."

Kriel staggered as the oppressive energy bore down on him. His breaths grew shallow, the void within him writhing against the overwhelming force.

All fifteen marks on Zenith's body began to flow like molten light, merging into a single, terrifying symbol over his heart. It wasn't just bright—it bent light, devouring the world around it into an abyss of pure System authority.

Zenith's voice carried a smug finality as the air around him warped. "The ultimate expression of System authority. When all marks become one. When order reaches its absolute peak."

Kriel's lips curled into a defiant grin, blood dripping down his chin. "Impressive," he spat, forcing himself upright. "But I've seen what came before your System. Before your marks. The void remembers."

"You dare challenge the authority of the System?" Zenith sneered, his golden eyes blazing like twin suns. "You are nothing but a relic—a speck of chaos grasping at relevance. I have transcended mortality, risen to perfection with the Primordial Mark. And you? You're already broken."

Kriel's laughter was hoarse but filled with venom. "The void isn't just chaos," he said, dark energy rippling around him. "It's where all power begins. And now, I'll show you its true form."

Zenith's answer was swift—a flicker of movement, faster than light, as his fist collided with Kriel's torso. The force shattered the ground, forming a crater that stretched for miles.

Kriel's body skidded across the battlefield, tearing through jagged rocks. He stopped himself with a pulse of void energy, coughing blood but standing tall.

"I'm not done yet," Kriel growled, his corrupted energy coalescing into a jagged blade. He surged forward, closing the gap in an instant.

Zenith parried effortlessly, his palm glowing with golden energy. "Pathetic." He countered with a sweeping kick that shattered Kriel's weapon and launched him into the air.

But Kriel twisted mid-air, void tendrils anchoring him back to the ground. "You talk too much." He raised his hand, and the void responded, forming hundreds of tendrils that lashed out at Zenith like hungry vipers.

Zenith moved like a ghost, each step precise and deliberate. His body weaved through the onslaught with ease, his movements defying the laws of physics. With a flick of his wrist, the tendrils disintegrated into nothingness.

"Ultimate Art: Sovereign's Authority!" Zenith declared, his palm glowing brighter than the sun. He thrust it forward, and the battlefield erupted into a blinding inferno.

Kriel's instincts screamed as the wave of destruction raced toward him. "Void Apocalypse Shield!" he roared, a dome of black energy enveloping him just as Zenith's attack struck.

The collision created a shockwave so powerful it tore the sky apart, exposing the void of space beyond. Within the dome, Kriel gritted his teeth, every fiber of his being straining to hold the shield together.

"You can't win," Zenith said, his voice cutting through the chaos. "This is the power of a King. The absolute authority of order. Your chaos is nothing but noise."

"And yet," Kriel snarled, lowering his shield, "you haven't killed me." He launched himself at Zenith, void energy trailing behind him like a comet.

Their fists collided, and the ground beneath them disintegrated. Zenith retaliated with a flurry of strikes, each blow carrying the force of an entire world. Kriel countered with brutal efficiency, using void energy to amplify his speed and strength.

Their battle became a blur, each movement shattering the world around them. Mountains crumbled. Rivers evaporated. The air itself screamed under the weight of their power.

"You're holding back," Kriel said, grinning through the blood streaming down his face. "Afraid I might win?"

Zenith's expression darkened. "I don't need to hold back." He raised his hand, and the Primordial Mark flared. The air around Kriel solidified, trapping him in a cage of golden light.

"This is the end," Zenith said. "Ultimate Technique: Heaven's Judgment!"

The sky split open, and a beam of pure energy descended toward Kriel. The light was blinding, its heat searing, its power undeniable.

Kriel gritted his teeth, the void within him screaming for release. "You think this will stop me?!" He raised his hand, the void consuming the golden light as it fell. "Void Extinction Wave!"

The resulting explosion consumed the battlefield, a storm of light and darkness colliding in an endless vortex. For a moment, the world stood still.

Zenith emerged from the chaos unscathed, his Primordial Mark pulsing with finality. "This is over."

He appeared before Kriel in an instant, driving his fist into the void user's chest. Kriel's body convulsed as the Primordial Mark's power surged through him.

"This is the difference," Zenith said coldly. "Between rebellion and authority. Between chaos and order. Between a King… and prey."

Kriel's body began to disintegrate, his void energy flickering like a dying flame. But even as darkness claimed him, a smile crept across his face.

Zenith's eyes widened as void energy began to swirl around Kriel's remains. "What is this? You can't—"

"It seems," a voice echoed from the void, ancient and mocking, "that the void remembers more than you do."

Kriel's body dissolved entirely, leaving only a swirling vortex of void energy. Zenith took a step back, his confidence wavering for the first time.

"This can't be," he muttered. "No one can survive the Primordial Override."

The vortex pulsed, its energy growing stronger. The ground trembled, and the air filled with the sound of ancient gears turning.

[VOID SYSTEM: REBOOTING]

Zenith watched in stunned silence as the void began to reshape itself. "No," he whispered. "This is impossible."

The void was silent, its secrets hidden in the darkness. But within that silence, a new power began to awaken. And for the first time in centuries, Zenith felt fear.
