Leo was quickly becoming panic stricken. His sister alone while this chaos happens, His parent driving to the city. Scenarios formed in his head, unfavorable ones that may happen to his immediate family. What if my parent fell into a hole that formed on the ground. What if the earthquake hurt my sister.
Before he could continue with more potential situations that could happen, A scream followed by an oddly loud whistle. Shivering from a sudden onset of bone chilling wind, He turned around witnessing... a monster? or something like it. It was covered in fur, and gigantic just from the size of it's head? Heads!!
He knew what this monster was but it was impossible, they don't exist do they? not in real life anyways. He quickly knew he was proven wrong as it clawed its way up a fissure. The size gigantic, It's ears twitching while each of the head look on different directions. The eyes of the creature was eerily red but it looked like they were glowing with a shine of silver within.
He quickly turned around and ran before the creature known as a Cerberus could settle on him. Not knowing the direction he followed the path anyways just to get away from the creature. Being part mutt it definitely smells him. He just had to hope that it doesn't settle on him and instead finds someone else no matter how horrendous of a thought it was. He wanted to survive.
Luckily he heard thumps on the ground assuming it was the Cerberus fading away. It must've found something else. Catching his breath he was happy that it wasn't after him. Before the adrenaline could settle and lower in amount in his body, He heard cracking. Looking toward the sound he saw more holes and fissure forming on the ground. This time it was followed by other monsters. Ranging from skeletons, zombies, cyclops and other bizarre amalgamation of previously thought to be just fictional creature.
Leo couldn't just go any building as that might trap him and without anyway to communicate with anyone else since he lost his phone. He tried to quickly think of a plan as he heads to an alley away from the fissures. While heading in, he notices the lack of cracks and holes on the ground. The fissures don't seem to form in alleys and this was the information he needed to escape.
Forming a plan quickly, he knows he won't be able to make it home without dying with all those monsters. They don't seem to go in buildings quite yet. It's like they're programmed to stay still and just patrol the main streets. Sneaking around and jumping between alleyways and small pathways he proceeded to head north where he could get some help. He doesn't even know if they could help but he had to try.
It's almost been one hour since he realized that alleyways were safe in a way, heading to the edge of the edge of the city was mentally and physically exhausting but he had managed. He notices that the further he gets away from the metropolitan area of the city the less they were monsters. This was great news for him as his sister has a very high chance of being safe for now. Until the situation changes.
As he continued now having the courage to take the main road for quicker travel due to the lack of creatures, he came upon a more dignified and richer neighborhood compared to his own. He somewhat remembers his way through here as he had been brought here to talk to a family here for job opportunities. Sneaking through still being careful just incase there was such creatures of myths and legends he powered through nonetheless.
