Prequel:
Jace opened his eyes. It was bright, light was shining into his eyes and he couldn't recognize his surroundings. He tried to move, but realised he couldn't feel his body. When he tried to look deeper into the light, He suddenly felt the environment around him change. His gaze fell upon the floor, and he realised he didn't have a body. He was sort of, floating. Below him was a vast ocean, but the water was still. He then saw a light in the distance, he couldn't explain why, but it was the same light he saw when he opened his eyes, he tried to reach out to it, but realised he didn't have any hands. When he felt like he would've touched it, he heard a voice, and was suddenly pulled out of the state he was in, staring right back into the bright light, back within his body he still couldn't move.
Then he thought about how he came to this place, and where he even was, and realized, he didn't know where he was.
He didn't know who he was.
