Chapter 2 - Reincarnated Into Chaos

Chapter 1: Reincarnated Into Chaos!

Earlier this morning in the House of the Honored One...

Alysia sits cross-legged on the floor, her eyes sparkling with curiosity as Grandpa George spins one of his infamous "educational" tales.

Alysia (excited):

"Grandpa, how do people fall in love?"

George leans back in his chair, stroking his beard with exaggerated wisdom.

George:

"Well, little Alysia, falling in love is like finding a treasure chest—except instead of gold, it's full of feelings, kisses, and sometimes arguments over who ate the last cookie."

Alysia giggles, but George isn't finished. He leans in closer, a mischievous glint in his eye.

George:

"And you know, when people are REALLY in love, they do a special dance in the moonlight called the 'Lover's Waltz.'"

Alysia:

"Waltz? Like when Mommy and Daddy dance?"

George (grinning):

"Exactly! Except this waltz is done without clothes on."

Alysia blinks, tilting her head in confusion.

Alysia:

"Without clothes? But isn't that cold?"

Before George can elaborate further, Alice storms into the room, her face bright red.

Alice (furious):

"DAD! WHAT ARE YOU TELLING HER?!"

George (innocently):

"Just a bit of life wisdom. She asked!"

Ethan (appearing in the doorway, glaring):

"Dad, stop teaching our daughter nonsense."

George scrambles to his feet, holding up his hands in mock surrender.

George:

"Fine, fine! But mark my words, someday you'll thank me when she understands romance!"

Later that day...

Me (Dreaming): Happy birthday Todd, yep that's my name in the past. Mother carrying me as I blow my cake for my 5th birthday. Todd! Father said "I'm going to buy your favourite milk then he closes the door."

Me (Narration):

I wake up in the strangest way possible. Bright sunlight, a weird-looking sun with a smile that reminds me of a certain basketball player, and… a little girl staring down at me.

Alysia (adorably shocked):

"Wow, Alyso, you're HUGE!"

Alyso? I sit up, confused, only to see my reflection in a nearby pool of water. Somehow, I've grown into a five-year-old overnight.

Me (Narration):

"HOW?! I just went from baby to kid in record time! Is this some sort of cheat code? And now I have a name Alyso?"

The whole family gathers, their reactions ranging from awe to confusion. Grandpa George, however, just smirks knowingly.

George:

"See? Growing up quickly runs in the family!"

Alice (suspicious):

"Don't even try to take credit for this, Dad."

In the garden...

Alysia proudly shows off her magic, twirling her hands as leaves begin to dance around her.

Alysia:

"See, Alyso? Magic is easy! Now you try!"

I give it my best shot, waving my hands like a magician in training. For a moment, I feel a spark of energy—then everything goes black.

Hospital Room...

When I wake up, the stark white ceiling is the first thing I see. My head feels heavy, and my body aches. Alysia is beside me, her eyes red and puffy from crying.

Alysia (sniffling):

"I'm sorry, Alyso! I didn't mean to push you too hard!"

She hugs me tightly, tears soaking into my hospital gown.

Doctor (gently):

"Your mana pool is quite small, so your body struggles with high-level magic. It's nothing life-threatening, but you'll need to be cautious."

Me (Narration):

"Small mana pool? Great. I'm officially underpowered. Thanks, fantasy world!"

The family gathers around my bed, their worried faces slowly softening as they see me awake. Ethan ruffles my hair, trying to hide his concern.

Ethan (gruffly):

"Don't scare us like that again, kid."

Alice kneels beside me, her voice soft.

Alice:

"Take it slow, Alyso. We're just glad you're okay."

Even Grandpa George has a rare moment of sincerity.

George:

"Guess you're tougher than you look, kiddo."

Despite everything, Alysia stays glued to my side, holding my hand as if letting go would make me disappear. Then I got dissmised, and we took a tour around the town.

At the bakery...

The scent of freshly baked bread and warm pastries greets us as we step into the bakery. It's cozy, with sunlight streaming through the windows and shelves lined with golden loaves and colorful treats.

That's when I see her: Anna, the baker's daughter. She's my age, but she's already got an air of grace that makes me stop in my tracks.

Me (Narration):

"She's my age, but… she's already developed?! How does she got does giant heaven grace b@#bs , umm i mean Melons! Not that I'm a pervert or anything, but… eye-watering!"

Anna catches me staring and giggles, her cheeks tinged pink.

Anna (shyly):

"Hi. Are you new around here?"

Alysia (piping up):

"This is my brother, Alyso! He's amazing!"

Drago, Anna's dad and the bakery owner, booms with laughter.

Drago:

"Well, any brother of Alysia's is a friend of ours! Here, try this."

He hands me a warm, flaky pastry. The buttery crust melts in my mouth, and I swear I've just tasted heaven.

Me (Feeling like in heaven):

"This… this is the best thing I've ever eaten."

Back home...

The dinner table is full of life. Plates of steaming food are passed around, and laughter fills the air. I sit quietly at first, watching as the family chats and teases each other.

Me (Narration):

"This is… nice. I've never had this before."

As I take a bite of the stew, a lump forms in my throat. The warmth of the meal spreads through me, and before I know it, tears are streaming down my face.

Alice (concerned):

"Alyso? What's wrong?"

I wipe my eyes, laughing through my tears.

Me:

"Nothing. It's just… after all these years, this is my first time eating with a family."

The table falls silent for a moment before Alysia jumps up and wraps her arms around me.

Alysia:

"Don't cry, Alyso! You're part of our family now!"

Ethan places a hand on my shoulder, his voice steady.

Ethan:

"You're not alone anymore."

Even George, who's usually cracking jokes, raises his glass in a rare moment of sincerity.

George:

"To Alyso. Welcome to the family."

Bedtime...

Alysia reads me a bedtime story, her voice soft and soothing. I try to focus, but her words blur together as sleep takes over.

In the distance, I hear Alice's voice, followed by George's familiar laughter.

Alice (furious):

"DAD, STOP TELLING HER ABOUT NAKED WALTZES!"

George (cackling):

"It's EDUCATIONAL!"

As I drift off, I can't help but smile.

Me (Narration):

"This family is absolutely insane. But honestly? I kinda love it. But , I'm kinda wondering how they just accepted me as part of their family. Even when I just crashed literally on their house just a day before, anyways goodnight Alysia"

Alysia (Sleepy)

"Good night my baby brother."
