I was lost. Barely hanging on and did not understand. I was hopeful but I was sad. I was locked away. Sometimes I did not think I would see a new day. I don't know how to begin this story I don't even know what to say. My name is Tim and I've been locked away. The technology of the world is different now. Everything seems so mean. You got to fight you got a battle. Everyone has changed. Some for the better some for the worst. For me I don't even know yet. I'm 16 I go to Slater high. It's kind of not very good high school it's a fighter high School that's all society says we're going to do. A whole life is about getting stronger about trying to take the next step. There's currently 64 of us. The winner gets to move on and continue to get trained and try to get stronger the world things don't understand basically the weapons are gone people are different they have strange power some of them the stronger you get the more you have a chance to unlock them. But I don't really know a lot about that all I know is it's my time to fight. The battle begins we're doing one-on-one matches it's round one of the tournament. My opponent Sam throws out a punch and a kick they both connect and I'm rocked backwards. I can feel the pain I'm trying to get away but I'm not sure that I can two more cakes two more punches he's fast I'm starting to bleed I don't know what to do I started throwing out wild punches I'm trying to dodge. He's coming in with every everything he's got trying to defeat me I'm hanging on I'm starting to block. I don't want to lose. So I run and throw out a fist and it connects. So keep throwing out this I keep throwing punches with everything I got I don't want to lose I can't lose so I Dodge ahead but I scrape I kick but none of it seems enough. We're both panting blood dripping down both our faces he charges at me I charge forward also and I just launched myself and I spear my opponent to the ground. He doesn't get up they count to 10 and I win. I can't believe I won I'm so very excited. It's a really good opportunity to keep moving on in the tournament. Hopefully I can unlock my strength if you win the tournament then science can begin to unlock you. The more you win the more they can unlock. Nobody here in this tournament is unlocked everybody has some kind of element. That flows through them they tell me that I have fire in me. And I can't wait to unlock that. But first I have to win this tournament then I go to a different School. Because that's how this world works the stronger get to keep fighting get to keep trying to get even stronger but the weak they're discarded thrown away cast out. They're no wars anymore only the unlocked and the more you get unlocked the better your life can be I'm just hoping maybe I can reach that better life. I walked down the Halls back to my room nobody looks at me nobody talks to me. We're told not to talk to keep our heads down don't make friends everyone is the enemy everyone has bad intentions. So I don't want to upset the balance I'm afraid of strangers afraid to let anyone in. I'm just lying in my room looking up. I believe in the Bible but the Bible has been locked up no one is allowed to read it no one is allowed to see it I only know about it through whispers. I want to read it I want to know it. I know God is working in my life they can try to lock God way. But the Lord will always find a way to work in our lives. They can burn churches they can act like the Bible doesn't exist. But I know God Is real. He is guiding my life. The way the world works if you can get unlocked start going to better schools you can start fighting the bigger tournaments you can start fighting for your country you might even be able to fight your way a house. It would be so great to leave this place I haven't even been outside in 2 years. I want to feel the sun. I want to feel the wind the rain. But to feel things in today's world I have to get stronger only the Strong the unlocked survive.
