The women approached me and hand me her hand. I threw myself as far from her as I could, scared that she would try to take advantage of me like the man did. Tears were rolling down my cheeks and I felt my heart beating in all my body. Surprisingly I wasn't feeling any pain, but I doubted that that would last once the adrenaline would wear off.
"I won't hurt you,I just want to make sure you are doing fine, my name is Isabella and this is my brother Eli" said the women
For some reason, her voice inspired me trust. She had a calm and soft voice, the kind of voice you could listen to all day without being annoyed. She one more time tried to approach me and this time I let her. She pushed the hairs from my face, and I saw her expression change.
"You are bleeding, maybe we should take you to the hospital" she said while putting her hand on mine in a compassionate way
"No, I'm fine, I will just go back to my place and take a shower, everything will be fine" I said trying to stand up
And, unfortunately, it is exactly when I tried to get up that my body started to feel pain again. Isabella helped me moving close to a building to rest against it. She took out a cellphone and walked away with it. I just sat there, looking at her while she talked to someone on the phone. I turned my head, pain radiating through all my body, to see what was happening with my aggressor. He was on the ground, not moving, Eli standing beside him. I put my head to rest on my knees. I don't know how long I stayed in that position, but it is a hand on my shoulder that took me out of my semi-conscious state. I jumped scare and almost fell on my side, but the person caught me. I looked up and saw a police officer. It was a woman, pretty young with a worried face.
"Isabella called me, I know what happened, but I would really appreciate you telling me" she said in a calm and compassionate voice
I looked toward my aggressor and saw a police officer putting handcuffs at his wrist before pulling him up and dragging him to the car. I caught, trying to talk and told her everything that had happened. Again, I don't know I long it lasted but I told her what happened. I didn't want to go to the police station not the hospital and she was okay with that. She took my contact details and gave me her card before walking back to the car and driving away. I thought that at that point I would be alone but what a surprise when I saw Isabella and Eli sitting on a bench across the street. I just wanted to go back to my apartment and take a shower. I dragged myself up and started walking, it was painful, but I could do it.
"Where are you going like that, you can barely walk?" asked Isabella from across the street
"I'm going back home" I said
She walked up to me and wrapped her arm around my waist, helping me walk.
"You sure you don't want to go to the hospital?" she asked again
"No, whatever what happens, I won't go to the hospital" I said as blacked out
POV Eli
My sister had gone up to help the girl and I was on my cellphone, waiting for her to come back son we could get home, I was definitely not letting her walk back home alone. As I was answering a text from Kaleb telling me that I should really hurry up to come back I heard my name.
"ELI!" screamed Isabella
I looked up and saw her beside the girl. The lady was laying on the ground, motionless and my sister was trying to wake her up. I ran across the street up to her.
"Call the 911, she really needs to see a doctor" I said to my sister
"No, she really doesn't want to go to the hospital, can't you just call one of your precious little contacts to come and assess her injury?" She said with anxiety in her voice. I could hear that she was not happy to ask me to call one of my friends
I got my cellphone out and call the guy that was listed as "doc" in my contact list, I wasn't letting that pretty little lady dies on the sidewalk.
