Chapter 168 - Chapter 168 Latecomer

An hour ago, the handsome man was very proud of his handsome face and charming charm, because on the way to Gru Mountain, a cute little loli took the initiative to talk to him.

Most importantly, when the little girl's big, sparkling eyes blinked at him, it was clear she was mesmerized by his charm.

At first, he thought he had plenty of time and decided to flirt a little before heading to the rendezvous point. As he gazed into her admiring, watery eyes, he got a bit carried away and accidentally let slip a few details about the important job he was about to undertake.

He didn't think much of it, as the other party is just a cute little girl. He didn't continue revealing more, and after checking the time, he prepared to leave.

As a result, the little girl seemed quite interested and persistently pestered him with questions.

Since he had serious matters to attend to, he naturally didn't want to linger. But then...

When the little girl broke the pickaxe he was carrying with her fair little hands, his face turned pale.

That's not a stick, it's an iron pickaxe.

And so, that was how the handsome man ended up bringing Biscuit to Gru Mountain's summit. In just under a minute, she had left an unforgettable mark on his psyche.

Now, facing Uncle Bill and the others' questioning gazes, he could only turn his head stiffly to the side and pretend he hadn't noticed.

Uncle Bill frowned when he saw the handsome man's reaction, 'He brought a stranger up here, and then acted as if nothing had happened?'

Biscuit, who followed the handsome man up, first noticed Law's presence, then quickly looked away and glanced at other people in the area to avoid being noticed by Law.

Some time ago, when Netero found her, he only gave her a photo of Law and one or two instructions, which roughly meant: As long as you are happy, it doesn't matter whether you do it or not.

It was because of that explanation that Biscuit was so casual and didn't take it too seriously. Initially, she even suspected that Law might be Netero's illegitimate son. After all, it was rare for Netero to pay attention to someone, especially a young boy who hadn't joined the Hunter Association.

If Law was really Netero's illegitimate son, she would have paid some attention to it, but since he wasn't, then she didn't care too much.

What she didn't expect was that she would meet Law here.

'So this brat is after the Stargie's tomb.' Biscuit thought to herself, oblivious to the fact that she was equally out of place. She casually found a spot next to a rock and sat down, looking completely at ease, almost as if she belonged there.

Though Biscuit only glanced at Law once, he had already stolen several looks at her.

Law recognized Biscuit's identity immediately from her appearance, clothes, and the spiral golden twin ponytails.

'This muscular woman must be here for that world-famous gemstone from centuries ago.' Law thought to himself. He and Biscuit were on the same channel, though for entirely different reasons.

Law didn't know that Biscuit was actually tasked with contacting him and seeing if he needed training. And based on his understanding of Biscuit, he thought she came for the gemstone, and thus a beautiful misunderstanding arose.

Shrugging off any further thoughts, Law turned to Uncle Bill and asked, "Since everyone's here now, where's the entrance?"

Uncle Bill first glanced coldly at Biscuit, who appeared calm and unbothered, then looked at Law and said, "There is still one person who hasn't come yet."

Hearing this, Law glanced at the people present and said, "There are already twenty-four people here. Are you saying there's another one?"

The conversation drew the attention of the entire group.

"No, one of them is an outsider." Uncle Bill said, and looked at Biscuit directly.

The moment those words left his mouth, the atmosphere shifted. Everyone followed Uncle Bill's gaze and turned to look at Biscuit.

The people gathered here were all invited by Uncle Bill to join the team. They were basically in groups of two or three and didn't know each other, so an extra person wouldn't raise too many suspicions. However, this since Uncle Bill himself pointed her out, it became a different matter.

'Biscuit is the outsider?' Law's eyes merged into the crowd, looking at Biscuit openly, surprised by the revelation.

Facing everyone's gaze, Biscuit simply stood up and asked calmly, "What are the requirements to join?"

At this time, the handsome man quietly edged away, not wanting to get involved. He had already experienced Biscuit's strength firsthand and knew better than to interfere.

Uncle Bill, who hadn't used Gyo to check Biscuit, hesitated. But even if he had, he probably wouldn't have gleaned much.

Just as he was about to speak, someone else beat him to it.

The one who spoke up was a rough-looking man. He stared at Biscuit and mocked, "You still want to join? Go home and play princess, little girl. You haven't even finished growing, and you want to play adult games?"

"Hahaha!"

As soon as the rude man finished speaking, many others burst into laughter.

Aya looked at the reactions of the group of people and an unhappy look appeared on her face, but she didn't say anything.

Law, on the other hand, cast a pitying glance at the big oaf who had mocked Biscuit. He knew Biscuit was incredibly strong, though he wasn't entirely sure just how strong she was.

After all, the moment he saw her transform into her muscle form in the original work, the image had been burned into his memory forever.

Despite the taunt, Biscuit simply smiled and lightly placed her palm on the massive rock beside her.

Bang!

A deep crater appeared in the rock with a single casual slap.

The laughter came to an abrupt halt. Those who had been laughing now stared at Biscuit in stunned silence, with their mouths wide open, and they suddenly felt a chill run down their spines.

The rough-looking man who had mocked Biscuit was so frightened that he began to tremble.

Biscuit then casually dug out a basketball-sized chunk of stone and flung it at the head of the man who had mocked her. With a muffled grunt, he was knocked to the ground, and a massive lump was formed on his head as he passed out cold.

After knocking the rude man unconscious, Biscuit dusted off her hands, then looked at the astonished Uncle Bill, and said with a smile: "Can I join now?"

Uncle Bill cursed the handsome man in his heart but quickly nodded enthusiastically, "Yes, yes! Of course!"

"Good." Biscuit said.

"May I ask for your esteemed name?" Uncle Bill's eyes flickered slightly.

"Biscuit."

After casually replying, Biscuit seemed disinterested in further conversation and sat down gracefully, once again posing as an innocent young girl.

Uncle had originally wanted to introduce himself, but seeing Biscuit's attitude, he decided against it. Anyway, he had her name now, so he could always look into her background later.

Thus, the minor commotion ended with Biscuit's one-punch demonstration, and she effortlessly secured a spot in the expedition.

Law thought it best to stay as far away from Biscuit as possible, as she was too violent.

Ten minutes had already passed since the agreed meeting time, yet one person was still missing.

"That guy is late again." Aya complained.

"Should we wait for him?" Luby asked.

"Yes." Uncle Bill replied firmly.

The situation inside the tomb was uncertain, so the more strong individuals they had, the better.

A few minutes later, a heavily equipped man finally climbed up to the summit.

"You're late, Atomu!"

Seeing the man, Uncle Bill said unhappily.

The man scratched his short hair and apologized with a smile: "Sorry, sorry! I slipped halfway up and fell, so it took me a little longer."

Uncle Bill knew it was just an excuse but didn't bother pursuing it further. Now that everyone has gathered, he could just give a brief explanation and start.

Atomu, who arrived last, was also a Nen User. He was two meters tall, with thick eyebrows, thin eyes, a square nose and a thick mouth. His muscular physique made him look like a gorilla, radiating an intimidating presence.

Law just observed this guy for a moment before losing interest. His instincts told him that Atomu wasn't as strong as Uncle Bill and his group.

Among the crowd, only Biscuit paid closer attention to Atomu, observing him with a discerning gaze.

'This person is very strong, much stronger than the others, but... why does he deliberately hide his strength?'

Based on her experience, Biscuit made an accurate judgment.

Thinking about the possible reasons for Atomu concealing his true abilities, Biscuit felt that this expedition might turn out to be quite interesting.
