I woke up to nothingness.
Not the kind of nothingness you feel when you close your eyes in a dark room, but a complete, all-consuming void.
No light, no sound, no ground beneath me, just an endless expanse of... nothing.
My mind raced, trying to make sense of where I was, but the more I thought, the more I realized I wasn't even sure if I was thinking.
It was like my thoughts were floating in a vacuum, untethered and directionless.
Then it hit me.
The memory.
The fight.
Fen.
That name alone sent a shiver through whatever form I had left.
I could still see him, clear as day, standing over me with that damn silver spear of his.
It wasn't even a weapon, it was an extension of him, floating effortlessly in the air, glowing with an otherworldly silver light.
But.
I had been so close.
So close to drinking that health potion, so close to turning the tide of the battle.
