"Aoi, what's going on?"
I began to laugh as I heard the Temple's head ask. I smiled and began to speak.
"Go on, Aoi, tell them about how you covered up my killing and my death. Well, it would have been my death if it was for the Awakening, as I would have been dead in the depths of that river."
Aoi kept silent, not wanting to say out loud what part she played, but I wouldn't let her stay quiet as I slapped her—making her fall to the ground as blood dripped from the corner of her lip.
"Tell them."
I said in a low and cold voice, making her shake in fear as she began to speak.
"I used to date him, and I helped people mentally and physically torture him. Leading to what we thought killed him, but in the end, we all kept silent about what happened as we didn't want to go to jail for it."
I chuckle as I walk around the court year.
"So you didn't want to go to jail? But you ended up running here to punish yourself. Is it repenting if you're too much of a coward to let the world judge you for your deeds? I would have maybe let you go if you turned yourself into the police and told them what happened. At least that would have shown some true kind of regret. But you chose something you could handle, not what was right."
I bent down, grabbing her by the hair. I brought her face close to mine as I spoke.
"And now you will watch as I slaughter all the women in this Temple; you brought this demon here, and it's hungry."
She opened her eyes and yelled.
"WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO!"
"You can eat everyone here, my pets."
The two Death Vipers watching the courtyard reviled themselves and lunged. Two of the older nuns grabbed them with their mouths as Aoi screamed and begged for me to stop.
"William, stop. They had nothing to do with this?"
I chuckled now.
"How does it feel to beg and have no one stop?"
At this, she stopped and looked on as the vipers looked at the last two, slithered towards them, and closed her eyes. I slapped her and yelled.
"YOU DON'T GET TO LOOK AWAY!"
As they ate the last two, I threw her on the floor and let my enslavement magic begin to take its effect. I could hear screams go on for a couple of minutes as I finished the enslavement and dragged her by the hair as I walked through the Temple and out the front as all the Death Vipers.
"Good work. You all can go back and rest."
Portals opened for them as they slithered into them, and I teleported to the house and threw her on the living room floor. I looked over to see my stepsister, Naomi. Holding the head of one of her sons, I walked over, grabbing it as she tried to fight. I placed my foot on her face, pushing her off, and she slid across the floor as I started to use the head of her dead son as a basketball.
"Why are you crying, Naomi? He was weak, and it was his place to die. I mean, that's what you told me when I was being beaten. Why should it be any different for your son?"
She looked at me with hatred as I chuckled and spoke.
"Now you know how I felt. So there is a saying: we are all the same in pleasure and pain. I guess it's true then."
I cast a fire spell, burning the guy's head along with the other head and the bodies as I turn to my stepmother, who is holding Aoi as she cries in her chest. I pull a piece of paper from next to the phone and a pen, holding it out to her as I speak.
"I want the addresses of the last six of my "friends.""
She looks at the paper and backs up at me before sighing and writing down the addresses. As the phone rings, I walk over to it and hear a voice.
"Hamiri, did you see it? William is back. I am taking my family out of the city before he can find me and my family. I will be out in the countryside, the place where we went ten years ago."
I hang the phone up as I look at Hamiri, walk over to her, and speak.
"Someone called warning you that I was back and talking about a place in the countryside that you visited ten years ago. Who was that, and why didn't I recognize the voice? Who was it that I didn't know had a hand in my suffering."
Hamiri froze before, not wanting to say, meaning this was going to piss me off. I grabbed her by her hair and pulled her up, lifting her feet off the ground and yelling.
"WHO WAS IT THAT BETRAYED ME THAT I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT!"
"It was Mrs. Chida; she was the one who tricked Aoi into a place for them to rape."
Asami said while looking at me; I could hear the blood pumping loudly in my ear and looked at Aoi, who had her head down, and I could tell this was true.
Mrs. Chida was a teacher. I was close to her and told her many things I was going through. I tried to understand when Aoi slowly pulled away and wouldn't tell me why. I looked back at Hamiri and spoke.
"Write that address down along with the other ones. I will give you five minutes to do it, or I will start to break your limbs first."
She handed me the addresses when the doorbell rang, and this stopped me from leaving as a Rare class-level person, and a bunch of uncommon classes were on the other side. I told Himara to answer the door as I grabbed Naomi and covered her mouth as I cast an invisibility spell, waiting to see what they wanted.
"Mrs. Hamiri Adams? I need to talk to you about one named Williams Adams. Can we come in?"
I told her to let them in as I wanted to listen to their talk.
"My name is Jin Seki, and I want to know if he is here."
"I haven't seen Williams in sixteen years."
Everyone knew not to say a word as I was still in the room, and that would be signing their death.
"We would like to know why you didn't fill out a missing persons report for your stepson, and we would also like to know what your son thinks about Japan."
She bit her tongue and began to explain everything that had happened in complete honesty, finally getting to the question of whether I liked Japan.
"If you ask me if William likes Japan, I would say he has a distaste for it now."
This didn't go well as they became cold, and I felt killing intent, meaning they wanted to kill me, so they were my enemies. Good to know.
"I will need you all to come with me."
"I don't think so.."
I threw Naomi to the teenagers as I grabbed a sword from storage. The one named Jin was shocked as he pulled Katana out and tried to block it, but my power was too much. It sent him through the walls and outside. As I knocked the rest outside and cast a spell onto the women, they started to float as I ran out of the falling house.
The girls are floating in the air while the fifteen Awakeners try to understand what happened. I rush Jin, and he swings his Katana, but I slide on my knees and rotate, taking one of his arms off as he pulls back. This shocked the other class users as Jin was the strongest level in the world.
"Run everyone, I will try to buy time!"
I pointed one of my hands behind me, and the ground turned into the liquid rock as they tried to get out of it, only to sink faster until the ground swallowed them up. This pissed Jin off, but he quickly backed away, and at that moment, two rockets hit me.
He didn't wait around and started running as I rushed out from the dust, but I made sure to go just slower than him, wanting to know where he was heading, as he took something out and drank it. It stopped the bleeding; as we ran on the street, launching attacks at one another, buildings started to get damaged, and finally, he began to slow down. I halted and jumped back as the ground I was standing lit up in a spell, sending a giant column of fire into the sky.
"You have quick instincts, William Adams."
An old man with a cigar slowly walked to Jin's side, as did about a hundred other Awakeners, ready for a fight. I lick my lips as not even one of them is Divine class, not that it would matter even if they were. My class and level are way above what a Divine class could contend with.
"Everyone prepare to kill a threat to Japan." The old man spoke.
