It's been two weeks, and I'm still trying to think of what steps I should take so that I don't fall into the same mistake that Celestial did. I should be able to take new steps as the new Celestial as well.
But I don't know the main reason when they started to turn against her, and she ended up like that.
"It's really confusing, my head hurts from thinking about it," I said as I closed my eyes and sighed.
Was it true that Eleanor should have been the villain in this story all along? But what motive did she choose to do so?
But in the novel, she was portrayed as a girl so perfect that not even one person hated her except Celestial who always seemed to do bad things to her.
While I was concentrating on thinking about things like this, suddenly a servant came to bring my favorite tea and chocolate cake. I turned my head and saw a dark green-haired maid with red eyes, smiling at me as she placed them on the table.
She was Odette, the waitress who first saw me regain consciousness after they said I fell into the lake.
Since then she's always been around me, saying that she's my personal maid. She was never mentioned in the novel, perhaps because the author didn't think it was important?
"You look very confused, Lady Celestial. Is there something troubling your mind?" she asked me while looking at me quite worriedly.
Was that very evident on my face? I'm bad at covering up something I'm feeling, but I just said that everything was fine.
"Nothing, I was just thinking a bit about my two older brothers. They've rarely been seen at the Mansion lately," I replied trying to come up with an excuse.
"Oh they're both away at the kingdom training as usual with Prince Moran. They should be back soon, because I heard Prince Moran is coming to visit you," Odette replied to me.
Prince Moran? Oh right, I remember Celestial had a fiancé and he was a prince. I can't remember what his name was, but all I can remember is that he ended up choosing to be with Eleanor because Celestial was always behaving badly which made him worried that it would affect the kingdom.
But he did it by having an affair with Eleanor. That means he wasn't really a good prince. I even remember how he once said bad things to Celestial. What an untrustworthy man.
"No need to worry about it too much, I'm sure you can do it Lady Celestial. You just need to believe in your choice," Odette said which made me feel confused as if she knew what was in my mind at the moment.
"Of course, thank you for the cake and tea. You can go now," I replied then watched her leave the place I was currently at which was the Mansion's courtyard.
For now maybe I'll be on guard and watch every choice I make. I may be the villain in this novel, but I also have to try to survive and find out what really happened in this mansion.
I enjoyed the tea and also the chocolate cake that Odette brought for me, it tasted so good and sweet very different from the cake I always ate when I was in my world. The poor me couldn't afford a cake this good, and I think I should take this opportunity to enjoy all the things I've never had.
"Enjoying chocolate cake, Sister?" I heard Eleanor's voice walking towards me when I looked at her.
She smiled while carrying a book in her hand, then sat down with me.
"Yes, I'm enjoying my chocolate cake. What are you doing?" I asked her.
"I just finished reading the book you recommended to me. It's very good, I like it," she told me.
She showed her the book which was a history book on becoming an artist. Actually, that book was not important for her to learn in order to paint like Celestial did. But I told her that it was important for her to read so that she could become a great painter like me.
And she really did, without any resistance. I wondered if she was really so innocent or if she was trying to look obedient so that I could trust her even more.
"I'm so happy that you want to teach me how to draw like you. I see a lot of your drawings in the room and I've also heard that the others really like them," Eleanor said.
She kept saying that she wanted to learn more about how to paint and do some of the things that I could do. Asked me to teach her everything I could.
She's very excited about it all, and I have no problem doing it. Plus it turns out that Celestial does have the same hobby as me which is painting.
So it wasn't a big deal for me to do what Celestial used to do.
"Looks like you two are really getting along with each other, can we join you?" There was a familiar voice and when we turned our heads, there were Lexion, Roxarion and another man I hadn't seen before.
But from the way he was dressed, it seemed that he was Moran. The prince who was matched with Celestial because they had been friends since they were children. So he was the one who would one day turn to love Eleanor and not Celestial.
"Celest, I heard you had an incident a week ago. Are you okay?" he asked me as he knelt down right in front of me. He grasped both my hands gently and looked straight at me. I can see his beautiful golden eyes meet mine.
Does he really love Celestial? Or was he just pretending because of this arranged marriage?
But from his eyes she looked so sincere looking at me. I could see the feelings he had for Celestial. I wondered even more, what had happened between Celestial and everyone in this Mansion that they ended up hating her.
What caused their love and affection to turn into a nightmare for Celestial, that they love Eleanor who is an outsider who entered their family.
I had to find out this fact. Now I understand that I don't think your death was Karma, but it must have been the beginning where one's evil will be revealed.
"Celestial? Why are you just keeping quiet, love? I'm very worried about you and I'm sorry that I just came to see you because I had some business in another kingdom before," he said to me.
"No problem, I'm glad you're here now." I returned his hold hand, seeing the smile on his face.
Celestial, I think I have misunderstood you. And perhaps now I will find out what caused all these nightmares to begin with. What mistakes you might have made to start all this.
