"Ryder" I was pulled out of my thoughts as Harper walked back up to me, the flyer in hand. Her expression was back to normal, just how it should be. Happy Harper gave me the creeps.
"So, what'd you get?" I asked, pushing the guy in red to the back of my mind. She handed me the flyer. "Not much info from them, couldn't even get the name of who runs this organization."
I skimmed the flyer for information. The flyer was a light shade of yellow with big black letters: The Radiant Sun. At the bottom was a time and location of their next meeting as well as a brief summary of what their group is about. It was pretty simple and happy looking if you count the big sun in the background and a small, black person reaching for the sun while on the edge of a cliff.
"Simple and straightforward." I murmured and looked back to Harper. "We're going, aren't we?" I asked even though I know the answer.
She nodded, "Yes, but we can't decide that on a whim. We're talking with the Commander about this first." she informed me and began walking past me, snatching the flyer out of my hands as she did so.
I frowned slightly in annoyance and followed behind her.

Later that day, I was in my apartment, at my desk and accessing old security footage on my computer. "Where are you…?" I whispered to myself as I continued to pull up files to find anything I could on…him.
The person that I was and have desperately been looking for over the past year was Kai. He was my best friend as a kid. He was always so enthusiastic and happy. However, one day, on the 12th of august, he went missing.
He just completely disappeared without a trace at age eleven. That was nine years ago.
Being at a young age like Kai, I didn't know what to do. I had no skills related to detective work and even if I had, I wouldn't have known where to start.
It was only up until my second year of college that I found that he was alive. Upon hearing the news in which I stumbled upon while doing an assignment for criminal justice class, I felt relieved that he was alive, but also very determined to find him again.
So, with my remaining time in college as well as when I officially became an SPO six months ago, I've been trying to get everything I could on Kai using my connections and my authority as an SPO.

I sighed after a few hours of searching and getting absolutely nowhere…again.
Leaning back in my chair, staring at the ceiling, my gaze shifted over to the window. It was getting late.
Getting up out of my chair and lazily plopping down onto my bed, not even bothering to get under the covers of my bed.
I stared off into the distance, my mind only on one person…
But then, my phone rang, causing me to groan. With a small wave of my hand, my phone lifted off of the desk and floated over to me. It fell beside my head as I buried my face into the mattress. I clicked the green answer button without looking.
"Hello?" I said in a lazily tone that came off as uninterested. "Hey, I talked to the commander. He said that we can take this case." said Harper on the other end of the phone.
"Oh yeah?" I said as I rolled over onto my back in starfish position. "You don't sound very eager. Don't you want to take them down? I mean, you even go as far as to call them a cult." informed Harper.
I frowned slightly at her statement then looked over at the phone. "Hey, I do wanna screw them over…" I then looked back to the ceiling, "Just…have a lot on my mind right now."
There was a brief silence between them. During the silence, feint sounds of what sounded like wind were heard. Sounded like she was flying.
"Well get it figured out. I'm on my way." said Harper casually.
I raised a brow, "You're coming over?" I asked with a hint of annoyance evident in my voice. "Yeah, to brief you and also because I felt like it."
Rolling my eyes, I sat up. "Alright, fine. Just don't take too long. Staying here, I mean." I informed her.
"Don't worry. I wouldn't dare to be there for longer than a few minutes, for my own well being." I frowned in annoyance.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Bye Harper." I said with annoyance evident in my voice then hung up abruptly.
Standing up and stretching my arms above my head, I then sighed and rubbed the back of my neck. "I should take a quick shower before she gets here."

Elsewhere, on top of a large building, stood a figure with a red hoodie and back sweatpants. The wind blew through their hair as they stood atop the building, moonlight shining down on them in the darkest of night.
"Ah, there you are." said the figure as their gaze landed on a certain orange haired woman flying across the afternoon sky.
With a purple glow of his eyes, he held up his hand to the sky, causing a black giant arrow emitting a purple glow to be formed above the figure.
The figure then threw forth his hand, making the arrow fly forward to the woman.
