Synopsis
Beneath the sky of Teyvat, two figures stood a short distance apart, their surroundings eerily silent as though the world itself was holding its breath. The blonde-haired man, his piercing green eyes widening, stared at the woman before him. His gaze lingered, tracing the features of her face with an intensity that spoke volumes. Shock painted his expression, but beyond that, a flicker of something deeper shimmered in his eyes—nostalgia, longing, and disbelief intertwined into one overwhelming emotion. He opened his mouth, but no words escaped, as if his voice had been stolen by the moment. The woman, her calm demeanor betraying the storm of thoughts swirling in her mind, studied him just as intently. 'Otto…?' The name echoed in her thoughts, sharp and incredulous. 'Why is Otto here in Teyvat? And why is he looking at me like that?' Otto’s lips parted slightly, as if he were about to speak, but his voice faltered when his gaze locked onto her striking blue eyes. His heart tightened as he scanned her face, searching for confirmation of a truth he dared not voice. 'Could she be… Kallen?' The thought filled him with equal parts hope and fear. The desire to ask burned within him, but he held back, afraid to shatter the fragile moment. If she wasn’t Kallen—or if she was, and he spoke too soon—would this ephemeral connection dissolve like smoke? And so, silence hung heavy between them.....

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

The waves lapped gently at the sandy shore, the rhythmic sound blending with the distant cries of seagulls.

Under the fading light of the evening sun, a figure lay sprawled on the beach, half-covered by the tide.

Their white hair, damp and tangled, clung to their face as the ocean receded, leaving them motionless on the sand.

Time passed, the serene ambiance interrupted by the soft crunch of footsteps approaching from the nearby forest.

A slender figure emerged, the faint pink of her hair catching the light as she stepped onto the shore.

Her eyes narrowed with curiosity as they fell upon the prone form.

"Hm?" Her voice carried a faint lilt, tinged with amusement. "A person?"

She crouched down, tilting her head as she studied the figure.

Her gaze lingered on the pale strands of hair. "White hair? How rare." A small chuckle escaped her lips, her tone playful yet intrigued.

The woman straightened, her hands briefly resting on her hips before she leaned down and effortlessly lifted the unconscious person.

"Well," she murmured, glancing toward the winding path leading back into the forest, "I can't just leave you here, can I?"

The soft glow of the setting sun framed her silhouette as she began walking away from the beach, carrying the protagonist in her arms.

The sound of the waves faded, replaced by the gentle rustle of leaves and the faint hum of cicadas as the two disappeared into the forest.

---------------------

A soft groan escaped his lips, his voice weak and unfamiliar to his own ears. "Uuh…"

The faint scent of sakura blossoms filled his senses, blending with the faint crackle of a distant hearth.

He blinked groggily, his vision blurry as he struggled to make sense of his surroundings. A smooth, melodic voice broke through the haze.

"Ara? You're finally awake," the voice teased gently, carrying an almost playful tone.

He squinted, his vision adjusting to the dim light. A woman sat beside him, her pink hair cascading over her shoulders like a waterfall.

She wore miko outfit, intricate and regal, with an air of elegance. The golden details gleamed faintly in the warm light. Her amethyst eyes studied him intently, a sly smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

"Who is that?" he mumbled, still groggy. He blinked again, trying to focus. The woman remained seated, calm.

"What happened to me?" he asked, his voice laced with confusion.

Fragments of his memory surfaced—sitting in front of his computer, watching the Genshin Impact loading screen lazily. Then the door had opened, and an unearthly light had swallowed him whole. After that… nothing. Until now.

"Hm? I wouldn't know," the pink-haired woman replied with a shrug, her tone nonchalant yet amused. "When I found you, you were already unconscious on the shore."

"I see… that means you saved me," he said, bowing his head slightly. "Thank you, Lady…?"

"Guuji Yae," she said with a faint smile, her voice lilting. "You may call me Yae."

"Yae," he repeated, nodding. "Thank you, Yae."

Her eyes glimmered as she leaned in slightly. "So," she began, her voice teasing, "do you mind telling me your name, Lady?"

"Lady?" he echoed, confusion flickering across his face.

He paused, her words sinking in.

His voice.

It didn't sound right.

It was… higher, softer.

Feminine.

He raised a trembling hand, staring at his smooth skin, unmarred and delicate.

Strands of white hair fell over his shoulder, longer than it had ever been.

He froze.

His gaze darted downward, catching sight of his chest—full and unmistakably different.

His heart raced, a rush of panic and realization flooding his mind.

His lips parted, but no words came out.

"I… I…" he stammered, his thoughts spiraling.

Inside, a single, chilling thought echoed.

'I… I've become a woman?!'

Yae tilted her head slightly, her expression curious. "Hm? What's the matter?" she asked, her voice laced with genuine confusion as her amethyst eyes studied him.

He blinked, snapping out of his spiraling thoughts. "N-Nothing. I just… remembered something bad," he said quickly, his tone a little too hurried.

Yae's gaze lingered for a moment, her sharp eyes clearly unconvinced, but she let it go.

"I see," she said simply, her voice carrying an almost knowing edge.

"Well, my name is…" he began, but the word slipped out before he could stop it. "…Kallen."

His breath hitched. 'What?' he thought, stunned. 'Why did I say that?'

"Kallen?" Yae repeated, the name rolling smoothly off her tongue.

Her lips curved into a small smile. "What a lovely name. Are you perhaps from Mondstadt?"

"Ah, no, I'm not from Mondstadt," he replied, his voice steady despite the chaos in his mind.

Yae gave a small nod. "I see. Well, you should rest. If you feel better, you can come find me. But if you still need help, feel free to ask the mikos outside for assistance."

With that, she rose gracefully, the hem of her miko outfit swaying lightly with her movements.

She walked toward the sliding door, her every step deliberate and poised.

Just before stepping out, she paused, glancing back at him for a fleeting moment.

Her expression was unreadable, her gaze lingering briefly before she slid the door shut and left.

"..." He sat in silence, the room suddenly feeling much larger and quieter.

His thoughts churned relentlessly, too preoccupied to notice Yae's behavior before she left.

"Kallen…" he murmured, the name tasting foreign yet strangely familiar on his tongue.

He glanced down at himself, at the flowing white nun outfit he now wore and the cascade of white hair draped over his shoulders.

"By the looks of this… there's an 80% chance I've become Kallen from Honkai Impact 3rd."

His hands trembled slightly as he ran them through his hair.

Shaking his head, he tried to calm the storm of thoughts, but Yae's words echoed in his mind.

"Yae? Guuji Yae?" His voice rose slightly as the pieces began falling into place.

"Wait… pink hair, wearing a miko outfit… Hiss—am I in Teyvat? More specifically… Inazuma?"

He froze, his mind racing with the implications.

"..." Kallen sat back, her—his?—fingers gripping the edge of the futon tightly.

Kallen sat frozen for a moment, her thoughts swirling like a chaotic storm.

But then she shook her head, forcing herself to focus. "No, I can't be depressed now," she said firmly.

Raising her hands, she clapped her cheeks lightly, the sting grounding her. "Alright, that's it," she muttered to herself. "This is just like those fanfic protagonists who get transported to worlds they're familiar with… But…" Her voice wavered, her brow furrowing. "I don't even play Genshin Impact that much."

The thought left a sour taste in her mouth. She had seen enough fanfiction to know the trope—people thriving with their knowledge of the world. But for her, Teyvat was more a vague memory than a well-detailed map.

"Alright, calm down," she murmured, her voice steadier now. "Let's gather more information and confirm what timeline I'm in. If I can figure that out, maybe I'll know what to do next."

As she started to push herself off the futon, something caught her eye.

A small tear near the stomach of her outfit made her pause. She ran her fingers over the frayed fabric, frowning.

"I think I should change clothes," she said, her tone thoughtful.

The hole wasn't large, but it was distracting. "Maybe this happened when I washed up on the shore…" Her voice trailed off, dismissing the thought.

She got to her feet and looked around, searching for anything suitable to wear. What she didn't realize was that the torn piece of fabric she chose to ignore wasn't just a trivial detail—it was a crucial clue. And one day, it would come back to haunt her.

Kallen glanced around the room, her eyes scanning for any sign of spare clothes. The wooden shelves and neatly arranged furnishings offered no solutions. She sighed, crossing her arms. "Ermm, seems like there are no spare clothes here," she muttered.

Then, Yae's words from earlier resurfaced in her mind. *"You can ask the mikos outside for help."*

Her eyes brightened with realization. "Oh, right, the mikos!" she exclaimed, clapping her hands together. Clearing her throat, she gave a small cough to steady her voice.

"Ahem. Anyone out there?" she called, her tone polite.

A soft voice responded almost immediately from behind the sliding door. "Yes, there is. How may I assist you?"

Kallen hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Um… Miss Miko, could I have some spare clothes? The ones I'm wearing now are… not in good condition."

There was a brief pause before the miko replied, her voice calm and kind. "Of course, Miss Kallen. I'll bring some spare clothes for you shortly."

Kallen let out a small sigh of relief. "Thank you," she said, her voice softening.

Outside, the quiet shuffling of footsteps faded as the miko left to retrieve the clothing.

Kallen leaned back slightly, her thoughts briefly settling.

Kallen let out a breath, her nerves steadying now that the clothing issue was temporarily resolved.

She glanced down at herself, curiosity creeping in. "Now that the clothes are taken care of, let me see what else is on my body after turning into Kallen," she muttered.

She began examining herself, her fingers carefully patting down every pocket and fold in her outfit.

Her hand brushed against something cool and metallic in one of her pockets.

She pulled it out, her eyes narrowing as she studied the object.

"A pendant?" she murmured, holding it up to the light.

It was intricately designed, the faint shimmer of its surface catching her attention.

Her fingers tried to pry it open, but it wouldn't budge.

"Hmm… I don't remember Kallen having a pendant," she said, frowning. "I wonder whose picture is inside… or if it's just decoration from turning into her." She sighed, slipping the pendant back into her pocket.

"Well, aside from the clothes I'm wearing and this pendant, it seems there's nothing else on me."

She turned toward the closed window and reached for it.

The wooden frame creaked softly as she slid it open, and a refreshing gust of wind swept into the room.

The crisp air carried the faint scent of the sea and sakura blossoms.

"I feel fresh," Kallen said, taking a deep inhale. Her lips curled into a small smile as the breeze brushed against her skin.

Stepping closer to the window, she peered outside.

The view was breathtaking view, cherry blossoms swaying gently in the wind, and the shimmering ocean glistening in the distance.

"Wow, the view is so beautiful," she whispered, awe filling her voice.

But then her gaze dropped, tracing the height of the structure she was in.

A sudden, unsettling thought crept into her mind.

"Umm… I wonder… If I fell from this high, or if someone else did… Would they survive?" A shiver ran down her spine, and she quickly shook her head.

"Nope. Not thinking about that," she said firmly, pushing the grim thought away.

She stepped back from the window, letting the cool air calm her racing thoughts.
