Chapter 3 - Finally Able to Leave the Palace

"I have to think about how I can get out tonight. But surely mother will send some guards to guard in front of my room,"

"How about this? But tonight is the right night for me to see the outside world. Everyone just doesn't want my birthmark to be recognized by other people, right?"

Princess Hee Yueyin kept going back and forth thinking about how to cover the birthmark on her forehead. Until her personal servant was confused by the behavior of the youngest princess whom she had served since she was little.

Between Princess Hee Yeuyin and her personal maid—Ailin, they grew up together in the palace on the east side of Princess Hee Yeuyin's residence. So this youngest princess wasn't really lonely.

"Ailin, tonight we will leave the palace," said Princess Hee Yeuyin, very seriously.

Hearing the princess's words, made Ailin surprised. "Princess, is there no other desire besides wanting to leave the palace?" she asked.

"I'll die of curiosity if I don't take the time to see the outside world. Besides, who would want to marry a locked-up princess like me?"

"I'm sure no man would want me. Therefore, we better make time to see the outside world soon," Princess Hee Yueyin was very confident. We're afraid we'll die of curiosity and our spirits will wander restlessly,"

Ailin felt anxious because it was the first time for Princess Hee Yueyin to disobey a palace order which had fatal consequences. She kept swallowing and looking for a way to prevent his princess from leaving the palace secretly.

This princess Hee Yueyin, once determined, is not easily shaken. She decided to jump over the fence from her residence's garden.

Before going out, Princess Hee Yueyin herself had also done a very mature disguise. Even her forehead was covered with a headband, along with a little of her hair.

"How do I look? Is it good? The birthmark on my forehead is not visible, right?" asked Princess Hee Yueyin.

"What are you wearing, Princess? Take it off, where did you get this dress?" Ailin was hysterical seeing her princess looking like that.

"Yo! I paid so much for this silk cloth. How dare you ask me to take it off. No way! I still have to go out. There's a lantern festival tonight, Ailin!"

Her personal maid said that she didn't care about the lantern festival. She was more afraid that the Emperor would find out that his youngest daughter had run away at night.

"Princess, please have mercy on me. Would you bear to see my head cut off for letting you escape?"

"Please think again, princess. Please, think again...."

Even though Ailin kept begging, Princess Hee Yueyin still didn't respond. She still went out through the tall fortress using her lighten the body and ability. "If you don't want to come with me, you better keep quiet. I'll be back as soon as I'm satisfied."

"I'll give you some more time. Tell me, do you want to come or not?"

Ailin still chose to stay. Princess Hee Yueyin went alone to enjoy the beauty of the lantern festival night that she had only witnessed once in person.

Half an hour later, Ailin reported to Hee Qixuan's second daughter about Hee Yueyin's daughter running away that night. Afraid of reporting directly to the Emperor, Ailin reported to the second princess.

"Since when did Yueyin leave?" asked Princess Hee Qixuan.

"About half an hour ago," Ailin answered nervously.

"This Yueyin. She's so stubborn," The second princess muttered. "You go back first. Let me take care of this matter." the second princess's orders.

Ailin was still kneeling. "Thank you, Princess Hee Qixuan. I hope that the princess and the Emperor can forgive me for not being able to take good care of Princess Hee Yueyin."

Princess Hee Qixuan felt at ease if Ailin reported to her first. Immediately the second princess asked her personal maid to accompany her out of the palace to look for her youngest sister.

Meanwhile outside, Princess Hee Yueyin was clearly amazed by the lively lantern festival tonight. Princess Hee Yueyin felt regretful that this was the first time she had seen the outside world.

"Wow, it turns out the festival is this lively. I think I am a very unlucky person if I don't join in the celebration of this festival," she muttered softly.

"Hmm, there are so many people. Are these all the people of Hee Kingdom? Are there people from outside the kingdom too?"

From pendants, lanterns with many kinds of cute shapes, clothes, jewelry and many more that were sold at the evening celebration, making Princess Hee Yueyin feel happy.

As a princess from a famous kingdom, it was unfair for her to never be recognized by her people. Even when she went out, no one knew who she was.

"There's no way people don't recognize me just because of this headband. They really don't know me because I never appear in public,"

"Hmph! My father and mother are very unfair. There are many ways to cover my birthmark. Why did they choose to lock me up in the eastern palace instead?"

When Princess Hee Yueyin wanted to buy cotton candy, there was a little girl who was crying and whining for the cotton candy. Basically, the youngest princess couldn't bear it. So she gave the cotton candy to the little girl.

Not knowing where it came from, suddenly a young man approached him. Then whispered to him, "You were fooled by that little girl."

"You need to know, there are many con artists in this city. Now you give this cotton candy to the little girl. Who knows what else she will ask you for in the future," said the young man.

"She's the one who deceived me, why are you the one who's bothering me? Who are you?" asked Princess Hee Yueyin.

"You don't know me? Are you kidding me? Hello, buddy. Are you new to town?" the young man dodged.

"Stop bothering me. Go wherever you like. I'm busy!" exclaimed Princess Hee Yueyin.

Actually, the young man is not a bad person. He just likes to seek attention because he has no friends. His age was also not much different from Princess Hee Yueyin's age. The young man was a young master from a middle-class official family. His family served as the state treasury official, but only as a deputy.

"Let me introduce myself, my name is Sheng Jiangou. I am the second young master of the Sheng official. Do you still not know me?" It turns out that the young man's name is Sheng Jiangou. Or often called young master Jiangou.

"Sheng Jiangou? Sheng family's second young master? Deputy official, I see!" Princess Hee Yueyin asked.

Because she was always in the palace, of course Princess Hee Yueyin knew who was in charge in the palace. She even knew the names of many of the officials' families.

"You—that lazy young master, right? Your brother—the first young master of Sheng Yenguo is a scholar, and he is even a 4th-grade master," Princess Hee Yueyin continued. "As for you? You haven't even mastered basic spiritual power. How can you be called a young master?"

"You—"

Before Young Master Jiangou could say anything, Princess Hee Yueyin cut him off.

"What? Did I say something wrong?" challenged Princess Hee Yueyin. "You can only bluff. What's the use of this dagger in your hand?"

"You!" Again, the second young master Sheng could only scream.
