A figure was lying in a large bed just looking at the ceiling, looking at nothing because there was nothing left for the figure. He had lost everything that he held dear to him was gone, he can still remember how things were.
How happy he was when he had his pack and his mate, but he did not expect what was around the corner. What was around the corner was the entire cause of his pain, where he lost it all.
The figure, the man is Maximilian a powerful Alpha. He took a breath pulling the sheets off of him as he rose from his bed walking over to the large window within his room.
He looked out of the window seeing the same old things as he has seen before, he moved away from the window going over to go get some clothes before leaving his room. Maximilian moved around the ruins of his home not caring about the dirt and the mess at all that was within his home.
Maximilian was able to make himself a drink, which was just a little alcohol that he kept in a flask that he carries with him ever since what happened so long ago. He was enjoying the peace if one can call it that, until he heard someone or something happening on his property.
The enhanced hearing he was able to hear some people speaking in a distance. He tried to ignore it but it was difficult when speaking to not go away.
Maximilian rose up from the seat and put his flask down making his way to the broken front door to see who was speaking and destroying his morning. Maximilian saw a group of women in the distance just standing there and by the smell he understood that they are human.
But what confused him was one of the women were making her way to him. He kept his guard up not fully understanding what human woman was going to do nor say to him.
"Hi, I am Daphne Shaw and I moved to this town a few weeks ago and I was just walking to be better with the area. Not only the area but to meet the people of the town, but the strange thing is that many people here tell and say to stay away from your house along with not speaking to you when I see you. The thing is I am not sure why they would say that". Daphne said
Maximilian was really surprised at how a small human creature could say that much but also to have enough guts to come face to face with him.
"You should listen to them". Maximilian said as he shut the broken door in front of Daphne.
Daphne was speechless by his actions as he shut the door, but she was not going to give up. She was determined to figure out this unknown man and his story.
She was going to try tomorrow, as she left the front porch she came face to face with the other women giving her looks as they shook their heads at her. Daphne went back to her home, but she was also being watched the entire time when she left.
Maximilian could not deny that Daphne was truly different. Once Daphne was home she stayed home the rest of the day, ready for the next day to try again with that Unknown man.
When Daphne woke up in the morning she got herself ready for the day. She grabbed her bag as she left her home, she made her way into the town heading to a few stores. As she moved around stores she was being stared like she made a mistake talking to that man. But she brushed it off and pushed on.
She was able to grab a few things for her house but for someone else as well. After the errands she did was over she made her way back to her home where she placed everything down to put away, once that was done she moved on to the next task that she wanted to hurry up with.
She was making a basket for that man she met yesterday. She thought it would be a good idea to make him a basket with some food, she was able to see the poor state of his house and she also found out that he had never left the house that he lives in.
After finishing the basket she was ready to make her way back to his house, as she made her way to his house once again she was being looked at in the streets by other people. She shrugged it off like it was nothing, nothing was going to stop her for being nice but also trying to understand what happened to that man.
Daphne came back to the front door, and she knocked on the door waiting for the man to open up the door. While she waited for the man to come to the door she looked around the area of the front door where she was able to see more of the poor state of the house and the yard it's truly in. Suddenly the door opened up showing an angry Maximilian staring at her.
"What do you want". Maximilian said very displeased at this moment
"Hi, good morning. I thought-" Daphne started but she was cut off when Maximilian shut the door in front of her face again. Daphne was Sally hurt by the action but she tried not to let it get to her.
"Okay, I made you a basket, I do hope you like it". Daphne said for leaving the basket on the front porch. As Daphne was leaving she thought to herself that she would not give up and that she would come back tomorrow. But also to help clean up around his house and besides he cannot ignore her forever. She was going to make sure that he definitely does not do that.
