Snow.
Just the snow.
The never ending amount of it.
The numbness feeling on her soles as she walked through them without end. No more houses in sight. The leave-less trees being her only guide as the sun shining could no longer provide any direction. Headed to nowhere it seems she went, her gaze filled with only brood — eyes only focused towards the road.
Though weary and shaky, the girls' glee didn't disappear. And though her arms flailed, never did they ever found the sign of giving out. Every step she took, only leaving behind a stain. Such stain clouded only in red.
The very red stain on every part of her body, adrift in her own thoughts as they slowly froze. Palms in her hand being permanently red, fingertips becoming purplish, and her breath only stiflingly turning into gasps for air.
Smell.
That very same smell.
So sweet like sugar, yet so sickly.
Though the quality of the meat was fine, the crunchiness in the bones lacked. Vividly, only the neck and tongue tasted good. The thighs also became a point of interest, as that was the place with the most meat. Even as it were now, the very taste was so memorable. Eating it so raw was the very best moment one could possibly have. There needed no chopping nor silencing, for the screams added towards the flavor. Elated only by the thought, their blood became the ones best to quench the thirst after a long while. And although other bodily fluids exist, the saltiness just wasn't up to par with just how much it could compare to the succulent liquid of red. The aftertaste was like a fine aged wine, and the smell was like lavender.
Even if those two never existed for her, those very same people she had to give thanks. They were never her family after all, right?
Only an orphan such as her could begin to visualize the harrowing agony.
Step
To be lied about and manipulated by others. Be toyed around your entire life like it was a toy, meant only to be a mere punchline to the life you had lead. Poor and short as it was, the seedlings that grew a tree only had its roots taken away from its fertilizer, now left to starve into the wild without anything but the remains of the water underneath the dying soil.
Step
Deprived of the love she wanted, now drowning in blood as they became "one" with her.
Step
She could remember what had happened, what took her to such lengths. But it felt like a wall. Grasp on it she might, it she could never ever wield it. The existence behind her purpose. Why she looked different from the rest. Maybe that is what made her decision?
No...
Then what made you eat them?
Because I thought they deserve it...
Why did you kill them?
Because I thought they hated me...
But didn't you love them?
I do.
So why do all that?
Because I love them.

"Do you know who you are?"
Distant. The voice was distant. Ears ringing. Can't hear.
"It took a long while to find you...."
Echo. Hard to hear. What did he say?
"You couldn't possibly walk on your own just yet...."
What? But I'm-
"It was simple, Fūkah. You. Died."
...
"It was a decent meal though...."
Cold. Colder. Their breath stinks.
"So...?"
I haven't died yet.
"But you have...."
Breathe. Breathe.
"You can't."
...
Laying there on the cold expanse was her, face flat on the snow. The red spreading across the white, while a thinly figure stood — or rather — slumped.
Its limbs were wirey and thin, almost like a strip of paper yet unaffected by the winds. It sported no clothes and no legs. But each face was strewn into this stick like a coat rack, with rags of brownish color hung loosely on each "branch". While there were lips and noses, the part where ones eyes were are gone. It had been "staring" down at the girl, stretching a long and thin piece of skin to scoop her.
While her face was bloodied, the smile replied:
"You smell nice...."
...
"You think we're ever gonna get out of this, brother?"
"No.... I don't think so...."
There were pieces of wood stacked upon a massive pile of snow. The breeze of the cold wind brushing past their hairs. Yet the warmth from the bonfire alit ensured no such succumbing to the sheer ice.
"But... this town only has the four of us. Won't it be lonely?"
"..."
"I never really knew how I got here... I only woke up seeing you and our Mother... Perhaps I didn't expect to be your sibling despite our differences. But, I don't know if there would be another way to get out of town once we've emptied out all the rodents..."
"What are you saying?"
"Hm?"
"It's not in character for you to be this sad, Fūkah. Thought you're always smiling..."
"Yeah...." she giggled, "I guess you're right~"
From the distance...
"FUKAH! IROH! IF YOU TWO DON'T COME HERE YOU'LL BOTH BE GROUNDED! I WILL COUNT TO TEN! TEN...."
"Well..... there she goes...." he shrugged.
"Right...." she sighed.
"NINE!"
...
You better wake up.
EIGHT.
You said you love them, right?
SEVEN.
You said that you'll never leave them, right?
SIX.
You said that you'll never betray their trust, right?
FIVE.
You said that they're your everything, right?
FOUR...
You said that you're grateful for everything they did to you, right?
THREE...
You said that you cannot live without them, right?
TWO.....
You said that you want to be together with them, right?
ONE.....
That's why you ate them, right?
....
Curdle, curdle.
Drip, drip.
With a resounding twang, the Daemon escapes the grasp of the unnamed beast, the blood that froze from the freezing temperature now a long hair-like whip wielded by her hand. The glance of her face covered by her white hair, the wind blowing past it as it revealed...that very same smile. Resolved, the girl charged and rushed the beast whom replied by throwing many of its skins at her, ragdolling as they attempt to reach over her, only to be sliced to ribbons, finding these to be extremely sharp.
I know time passes by for everyone...
The beast remained undeterred, proceeding to rip part of it many faces off and throwing it into the air before a loud siren would blare out, calling more of the same kin as silhouettes appeared around her.
And I know you barely know me...
Thousands aimed their victims while her smile remained, spreading her arms wide as if to hug the invisible family, smiling as the snowflakes falls down like the rain.
I barely know myself too. Everything's too fast.
Soon enough, one, two, four, ten, then twenty, then a hundred more beasts crawled around her and plans to skewer her into their many thorns. Responding with a leap followed by a hundred slashes underneath, the blow sent shockwaves that spliced more of them clean off.
It's always messed up in my head. I can't help it.
She was dancing around than fighting, letting the chaos of her brain take over the moment. The heat of their blood, the skins of their tasteful selections of humans, and the smell of the bloodied battlefield....
For some reason... I just...
Little by little, their numbers dwindled. Slash, hack, repeat. Slash, hack, repeat. Gouge out their innards. Eat their innards. Rinse and repeat until they're all gone. A complete cycle. Perpetual machine.
I can't help but smile....~
