I'd seen Marian angry before—hell, I'd been on the receiving end of it more times than I could count. I'd seen her shut down, lock herself behind that ice-cold wall she built to survive in this family.
But this... this was different.

She moved through the estate like she was born to rule it—sharp eyes, clipped orders, cutting down anyone who so much as hesitated under her gaze. For a woman who spent years cursing this family and everything they stood for, she carried power like it was stitched into her very bones.
