Mariana's POV
The words were scrawled hastily, as if she'9d been in a rush.
"She doesn't deserve him. Aiden belongs with someone better, someone who truly understands him. I'll make him see that. Mariah won't last much longer. I just need to be patient."
"Fine," I muttered, determination hardening my resolve. "If you want to play games, Amira, then let's play."
I snapped a picture of the page with my phone, my hands trembling slightly as I did. As much as I wanted to march over to Amira and confront her right then and there, I knew that wouldn't help. This needed to be handled carefully.
I placed the notebook back exactly where I'd found it and left the room, closing the door softly behind me. My heart pounded in my chest as I made my way back to the living room.
