Lin Feng's heart was still racing from the strange whispering voice he had heard in the dining hall. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off, and he found himself glancing nervously over his shoulder as he made his way back to the dormitory.
"Hey, Lin Feng, what's wrong?" Wang asked, noticing his friend's distracted expression.
Lin Feng hesitated, unsure of how to explain the strange voice he had heard. "Nothing, I'm just a bit tired," he said finally.
Wang nodded sympathetically. "Yeah, I'm feeling a bit tired too. Maybe we can take a nap before the visitor arrives."
Lin Feng nodded, but he knew he wouldn't be able to sleep. His mind was racing with questions and worries.
As they entered the dormitory, Lin Feng noticed that the other boys were all chatting excitedly about the upcoming visitor.
"I heard it's a rich merchant who's looking to adopt a new son," one of the boys said.
"No way, I heard it's a government official who's looking for a new apprentice," another boy argued.
Lin Feng listened to their conversations, but he couldn't help feeling that there was more to the visitor's arrival than met the eye.
Just then, Mrs. Li appeared at the doorway of the dormitory. "Alright, boys, it's time to get ready for our visitor. Let's make a good impression!"
The boys all nodded and began to hurry around, straightening their clothes and smoothing their hair.
Lin Feng did the same, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. Who was this visitor, really? And what did they want with him?
As he followed the other boys out of the dormitory, Lin Feng felt a sense of trepidation wash over him. He had a feeling that his life was about to change in ways he couldn't even imagine.
And then, just as they were about to enter the main hall of the orphanage, Lin Feng saw him. A tall, imposing figure with piercing eyes and a stern expression.
"Who is that?" Lin Feng whispered to Wang, but his friend just shook his head.
"I don't know," Wang whispered back, "but he looks important."
Lin Feng nodded, his heart racing with anticipation. Who was this mysterious visitor, and what did he want with him?
