Chapter #4.
Lady Shiva's technique was flawless. She split all of the webbings into little shreds with Cheshire on the offensive.
Their coordination was to be admired and that's what I found much annoying. Lady Shiva distracted me with her assault as Cheshire landed a kick at my back.
I decided not to hold back anymore and let my full instincts take over.
"You ladies are so much pain." I debuked with fury.
The threads of web shot from my wrist to Cheshire as she quickly reacted and blocked with her sais.
"You are gonna have to do much harder if you wanna best us." Cheshire lamented with a smirk of mockery drawing on her face.
She couldn't help but feel the win in their grasp after she saw me using such a simple attack, maybe it was desperation since there was no way I thought I could win but it was something else entirely.
I was holding back but this time I decided to go all out and show them true despair.
The threads stretched from my hands to her a twin sais. Then suddenly she saw a spark of yellow electricity ignite from my palm as it ran through the thread.
Her demeanor quickly changed to a shocked one, the surprise was too fast for her to avoid. I electrocuted her instantly knocking her off the grid.
Cheshire was down and now I was left to deal with...
"Woooh!"
Lady Shiva's blade almost split my head from my body but I managed to dodge the attack by jumping upwards. That was all thanks to my spider sense, this ability was way broken to warm of any sneaky attacks.
She then changed her stance to intercept from above but I wasn't intending on backing down, this time I decided to take the but head on.
I engulfed my right fist with the bioelectricity as my punch connected with the blade crashing the blade to pieces.
Shiva hesitated due to get weapon on hand being reduced to nothing but small metal pieces. Before she could even tilt her attention to me again, I landed on my hands and used them to increase the momentum from the ground and landed a double kick on her abdomen crushing her against the concrete.
She completely lost consciousness due to the force of the twin impact.
"I can't let shadows like you live, who knows when you will come to hunt me again." I muttered to the unconscious Shiva with a sword on my hand.
I raised the weapon to finish her off but then it was intercepted by an anonymous guest.
It was some kinda of a boomerang. I looked up at the direction which the boomerang came from and I saw a man dressed in a cape with a bat symbol on his chest. I immediately recognized him at first glance.
"This is not your business batman, so fuck off."
"It might not be my business but Gotham is my under my radar so I won't let you do what you so wish here." Batman answered with a stoic look on his face.
"Well you see they were trying to kill me first, so it's only fair for me to return the favor."
"Then I will have to stop you."
This guy was really getting on my bad side. I mean I used to adore Batman from the comics but still I never ever entertained someone trying to get in my way. I knew picking a fight with him would end badly but this time I had powers, the advantage was on my end so I could flip the tables on him.
"You know Batsy, with your cool fetish you sure seem like a reasonable guy but sometimes you are too annoying." I suggested.
I mean think about it, this guy would apprehend a notorious criminal like joker and put him behind bars for the next day for him to escape and cause a mayhem. How many lives are lost in the process all for the sake of justice. To me that always seemed like dark justice.
Batman narrowed his eyes as he stared daggers onto me but I did not back down. The only solution was to solve this with our own actions.
He took out his bat boomerang and sniped like three of them towards me but I dodged them all with ease without even taking one step from the position I was. Then suddenly I had a beep from the boomerangs.
I was quite familiar with the sounds.
"Batman you son of a bitch!"
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The bat boomerangs exploded after I cursed out his name.
When the smoke and dust settled, Batman checked out for his opponent but he couldn't find him.
The explosion had obscured his sight so he wasn't sure if I escaped or took the full impact of the blow.
He then used his cape to fly down to the scene.
However, he didn't know it was an ambush. Before the bombs could go out I used my comouflage and shot a webbing to avoid the impact.
I then descended from above and attacked batman from above with my web net but he managed to dodge in time.
He did not see where the webbings came from but in the moment of hesitation I managed to land a clean hit at his torso pushing him back.
He did not see the attack so he used his heat sense lenses to avoid my onslaught.
My trick was out of the bag and the only way to this was by melee means.
Batman then used his smoke bombs, I coughed a little and he managed to attack me from my blind spot but woe to him my spider sense was always alert ad I managed to evade his boomerang.
The boomerangs were a pain in the ass, I had to be careful because they could blow up at any second.
He then attacked with a right kick but I just caught it and flipped him over outside the Gotham life building.
I jumped down to the next stall building. Batman was trying to get up as a surprise attack was inches away from his face but with his martial arts expertise he managed to dodge the blow.
Then overconfidence dwindled in me. I mean I knew all of his tricks, his sneak attacks and all his utility belt assets.
The only annoying thing about him was how I couldn't read him at all. He always kept a serious face with unwavering determination.
