Regaining consciousness, Mahiru Kanata opened her eyes and looked around, only to be horrified by the bloody scene before her.
All the 5-meter-tall wolf monsters lay dead, their bodies and heads severed, with their insides spilled across the ground.
Seeing the entrails, intestines, hearts, eyes, and other organs scattered on the ground made Mahiru Kanata vomit uncontrollably.
Unable to endure the ghastly sight, she continued to vomit beneath a tree trunk, her body trembling from the horror.
After calming herself slightly, Mahiru Kanata took a deep breath and glanced back at the gruesome scene, her eyes trembling with fear as she stared at the horrifying sight before her.
"What exactly happened…?" Mahiru Kanata muttered, questioning the events that had transpired. She had no idea, certain she had already been torn apart by the 5-meter-tall wolf monsters.
Shaking her head to dismiss any thoughts, she immediately ran away from the dreadful place.
Mahiru Kanata ran as far as she could, praying not to encounter any other terrifying creatures. Her body was drenched in sweat as she fled from the grisly scene.
She eventually stopped running due to exhaustion, feeling parched after going so long without water. She hoped to find a river, her next goal.
Walking through her surroundings, exploring a little, and hoping to find a river, Mahiru Kanata trudged forward, sadness weighing on her mind.
"What... what should I do? I can't die... trapped in this strange world. Is there a way back?" Mahiru Kanata's thoughts spiraled as despair and sadness consumed her.
Lost in her thoughts, Mahiru Kanata wrestled with countless unanswered questions, with no one to provide any answers.
As she sank deeper into her worries, Mahiru Kanata was jolted back to awareness by the sound of a waterfall. Reflexively, her body moved, and she ran toward the source of the noise.
Reaching the source, she burst into tears, sobbing uncontrollably as she found a river to quench her unbearable thirst.
Quickly approaching the river, she cupped her hands to drink the flowing water, savoring the relief as she quenched her thirst.
After drinking to her fill, Mahiru Kanata gazed at the river flowing swiftly southward from the waterfall.
"I finally found a river. Could there be a settlement to the south?" Mahiru Kanata wondered aloud, her heart clinging to the hope of finding civilization.
Following the river downstream, she walked southward, hoping to meet someone she could talk to.
However, just as Mahiru Kanata began to hope, she stumbled upon a colossal monster nest—five times the diameter of a building.
Terrified at the sight of the massive nest, Mahiru Kanata immediately fled, putting as much distance as she could between herself and the enormous structure.
Meanwhile, far from where Mahiru Kanata was running, stood a magnificent white mansion. Its gleaming marble and grand pillars were adorned with ancient symbols, giving it the appearance of a temple.
Inside the grand mansion, a girl stormed out, pouting in anger after a quarrel with her father. With her emotions running high, she left the mansion.
The girl appeared to be around 13 years old, though her actual age far exceeded her youthful appearance. She was strikingly beautiful, with shining silver-white hair, bluish-silver eyes, and a plain white kimono.
Frustration radiated from her as she puffed her cheeks in annoyance. "Stupid Father! Why won't you let me? Hmph!" she grumbled under her breath.
Reaching the edge of the mansion's garden, she gazed down. Below the garden was a thick layer of clouds.
"Descending to the surface should be fine. Besides, I'm strong—even Heavenly Dragons don't dare challenge me!" she boasted confidently, leaping off and plummeting into the depths below.
The girl fell rapidly, but the ground was nowhere in sight, indicating the mansion was situated far above the clouds.
While falling, she casually crossed her legs as though meditating. "Hmm... What should I do on the surface? I hope something interesting happens, like 1,000 years ago," she mused, anticipation evident in her voice.
"This is taking forever! I'll just use that," she said, flicking her right hand. In an instant, she vanished mid-air.
Reappearing on the surface, she scanned her surroundings and realized she was now in a dense forest.
"This forest... it looks familiar," she murmured, searching her memories.
"Ah! I remember now! The Grand Ancient Forest! Perfect. Let's explore and find something interesting. Surely there are plenty of dangerous monsters here!" she exclaimed enthusiastically, eager to explore.
Walking straight ahead, she observed her surroundings, hoping to discover something fascinating. Suddenly, she noticed a human running in terror.
"A human? Wait! Was that really a human?" Unsure of what she saw, she decided to follow the fleeing figure discreetly.
Trailing the terrified human, she kept her presence hidden. When the human finally stopped running, she halted too, concealing herself behind them.
"How strange... I'm sure that's a human, but why is the energy radiating from their body like that of a Blessed Deity? Are they really human?" she wondered, astonished by the aura surrounding the person.
Curious, she read the human's memories from a distance. What she saw shocked her.
The girl witnessed the human's endless suffering and despair. "Does this human possess Extra Revival?" she questioned, intrigued by the unusual phenomenon.
Smiling brightly, the girl felt a surge of excitement. "It seems I've found something interesting~ I'll help and follow this human. I'm sure they'll lead me to an exciting adventure!" she murmured happily, delighted at her discovery.
