I was in the alchemist workshop, bottles and ingredients scattered across the tables as I focused on brewing potions. By the time I looked up, I had crafted around seventy minor health potions and a few large ones.

A notification popped up.

[Alchemy has leveled up 32/100]

I grinned, satisfied with the progress. Asia had been watching quietly the whole time, fascinated by the process.

After finishing up, I wiped my hands and turned to her. "Well, that's done."

Asia gave me a soft smile. "You're really good at this."

I chuckled. "Thanks. It's fun when I get into it."

She stood up. "I'll be back in a few minutes. I just need to check something."

I nodded. "Alright, I'll see you then."

….

As I finished working on a decent blade, I heard footsteps behind me and turned to see Koneko entering the workshop.

"Have you seen Asia?" she asked, her expression already tense.

I wiped the sweat from my brow and shook my head. "No, she went inside the house a while ago. Did you ask Alucard?"

Koneko nodded. "Yeah, but he's been watching TV in the living room the whole time. He hasn't seen her."

That's when it hit me—the fallen angels.

I clenched my fist, feeling a surge of anger boiling inside me. Koneko noticed the shift in my demeanor immediately.

"Go get Rias and Sona," I said firmly, my voice leaving no room for argument. "Tell them the fallen angels have Asia. They need to report this, and tell them to meet me at the abandoned church in two hours."

Her eyes widened at my words. "Are you sure?"

I nodded, already walking toward the door. "Just go!"

Without hesitation, Koneko ran out the door. I stormed into the living room, where Alucard was sitting, his eyes glued to the TV. He looked up as soon as he saw my expression.

"What's wrong?" he asked, standing immediately.

"The fallen angels took Asia." My voice was low, but the fury behind it was unmistakable. "We're going to get her back, and we're going to make them pay for it."

Alucard's expression darkened. "When do we leave?"

"Now. Follow me."

We stepped outside. Alucard spread his bat-like wings, while I activated my sacred gear.

"Where to?" he asked.

I pointed toward the outskirts of town. "The abandoned church. That way."

….

We reached the church in under five minutes, landing silently on the roof. From above, we could hear raised voices echoing through the decrepit building. Carefully peering through a hole in the roof, we spotted three fallen angels inside, deep in a heated argument.

The first, a blonde girl dressed in gothic Lolita fashion, seemed agitated.

"I just think we shouldn't take her sacred gear—it'll kill her!"

The second, who I recognized as Raynare, crossed her arms. "If we don't, and she refuses to help us, then what? Are you willing to take that risk, Millatat?"

The blonde—Millatat—looked ready to snap. "But it's better than just killing her! If we go through with this, we're no better than monsters. Can't you see that?"

Raynare turned to a blue-haired fallen angel, Kalawarner, who stood silently in the corner. "Kalawarner, back me up here."

Kalawarner shrugged. "Honestly? I don't care either way."

I leaned closer to Alucard and whispered, "The blonde—Millatat. She gets to live."

Alucard gave me a sharp nod. "Understood."

"Only help if needed," I added.

"Of course," he replied before transforming into a swarm of bats and slipping through the shadows toward the basement.

I scanned the area one more time, then jumped through the hole in the roof, landing with a thud that echoed through the church. Both Raynare and Kalawarner turned toward me, startled but quickly regaining their composure.

Raynare's eyes narrowed. "What are you doing here?!"

The other fallen angel simply stared at me, her expression filled with unease.

Shiro narrowed his eyes. "You kidnapped a friend of mine. I'm here to take her back."

Raynare's lips twisted into a sneer. "Wait… you're that kid Donaseek was supposed to kill."

A slow smirk tugged at Shiro's lips. "Yeah, that's me. But he was so weak, he couldn't even land a punch."

Raynare's eyes flared. "You killed him?"

Shiro chuckled darkly. "I did. And I'm about to do the same to the two of you."

At that moment, he unleashed his aura, the oppressive weight of it filling the room. Both fallen angels flinched, clearly shaken by the sudden surge of power. Raynare quickly recovered and hurled several light spears at him, followed by Kalawarner.

Shiro dodged every single one with ease, his movements fluid and sharp. He spoke to Voltaris in his mind.

"Know any sealing spells that would let me interrogate them?"

Voltaris's voice echoed in his thoughts. "There's one. It's called Lightning Chains. It costs 100 MP, but it'll sap their stamina if they lie. Use it wisely."

"Perfect. Thanks."

Shiro leaped into the air, raising his hand as he gathered energy.

"LIGHTNING CHAINS!"

A massive purple magic circle formed beneath both fallen angels. Chains of crackling energy erupted from it, wrapping tightly around their bodies and immobilizing them completely.

Raynare struggled, her voice tinged with panic. "What the—?!"

Shiro landed in front of them, his expression calm but his eyes filled with menace. "Now," he said, his lips curling into a wicked smile, "we're going to get to know each other really well."

Both fallen angels paled.

….

Shiro leaned against the broken altar, arms crossed as he listened to their panicked explanations.

"So, let me get this straight. You two were planning to go rogue and join Kokabiel?"

Raynare's voice trembled. "Y-yes."

Kalawarner nodded reluctantly. "He ordered us to take Asia's Sacred Gear… and kill her."

Shiro's eyes darkened. "And what about Millatat? She seemed pretty pissed when she left."

Raynare hesitated, but the chains sparked, draining more of her stamina. She winced. "Millatat… she's against it. She says she prefers the peace and doesn't want to be involved in this mess."

Shiro narrowed his eyes. "Anything else I should know?"

Both women quickly shook their heads. "N-no!"

Shiro was about to finish them off when something stopped him. He hadn't used Observe yet. Frowning, he activated the skill.
