After hearing this, Eric nodded. "Alright, Black Serpent, go ahead. I'll provide support and make sure no monkeys interfere with you before you kill the Monkey King."
"But the condition is, you really have to take down the Monkey King in 30 seconds, because I can only hold them off for about a minute at most," Eric said seriously.
"Heh, you don't need to worry about that. I never brag about my strength!" Black Serpent chuckled confidently, then retrieved his large blade from his storage ring.
"Listen up, brothers! Help this Eric Magic user hold off the monkeys outside and cover me while I kill the Monkey King!" Black Serpent commanded, standing up. "I'm going in!"
With that, Black Serpent's aura suddenly became sharp and fierce. He leapt into the air, speeding toward the massive tree hole on his own at an incredible pace!
He seemed like a human missile, darting across the ground at lightning speed. Eric couldn't help but be amazed this was the first time he saw an Intermediate-level Physical-Cultivation Practitioner in action.
Even just running, Black Serpent displayed the extraordinary power of an Intermediate-level Physical-Cultivation Practitioner to perfection!
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"
The air around Black Serpent was torn apart by his speed, creating sharp sonic booms. Not only was Eric stunned, but the large group of monkeys hanging in the trees was also startled by the sudden noise.
"Bluewood Monkeys these guys have extremely sharp reflexes and scouting abilities," Alicia, observing from the back, commented.
The battle had a direct impact on them, so, aside from Alicia, even injured Kevin and the others were craning their necks, trying to get a better view.
Alicia continued, "It's truly incredible. Not only are there so many of them, but out of the fifty-plus monkeys, there's not a single one at Level 1. Most of them are at Level 2 or 3, with at least 10 at Level 4!"
She couldn't help but exclaim, "That means their reflexes are frighteningly fast, but that guy he rushed in so quickly that the monkeys didn't even have time to react!"
The other students were all anxiously watching the battle unfold. Even though they weren't fighting, everyone could feel the intensity of the battle as if they were right in the middle of it!
"This is what a true powerhouse looks like! This is the charm of a Physical-Cultivation Practitioner!" Kevin stared wide-eyed, his lips trembling with excitement. "Though I got beaten badly by that idiot, I have to admit this is exactly what I've always dreamed of!"
Kevin was watching with intense desire, his heart racing. The sight of Black Serpent now was exactly what Kevin had longed for. He couldn't even begin to imagine how many years it would take him to break through to the level of an Intermediate-level Physical-Cultivation Practitioner.
And sure enough, Black Serpent's sprint was extraordinary. Originally, he was over three hundred meters away from the tree hole, but in less than ten seconds, he had charged straight into it.
A large number of monkeys nearby froze for a second, only reacting afterward. They immediately became alert, heading toward the tree hole to protect the Monkey King.
"Roar! Roar! Roar!"
The monkeys frantically called to each other, their voices filling the air in a chaotic, ear-splitting din.
"Our boss has gone in! It's time for us to make our move!" Red Snake stood up, clenching his fists.
The others, wide-eyed, immediately stood and, without a word, followed Red Snake into the fray.
Eric didn't lag behind either. He followed the Physical-Cultivation Practitioners, racing toward the tree hole. Their mission was to hold off and take down the monkeys that weren't the Monkey King!
The great battle was on the verge of beginning, and the students, observing from a distance, felt the tension mounting in their hearts.
"I never expected this. What seemed like an ordinary activity has turned into something like this, and now we're witnessing this epic battle!" one student exclaimed.
"Look, Eric's charging in too! Is he really that powerful Magic user? If he's faking it and gets exposed, we're all done for!" another student nervously said. Even now, he could hardly believe that Eric had changed so much.
Many of the students had similar thoughts. It was only natural. It was like a mediocre classmate suddenly becoming a superstar and being picked up by a talent agency a dream-like scenario.
Alicia remained silent, her hands tightly clutching her skirt, her eyes fixed with intense focus, not daring to blink.
'Eric, now we're all your hostages. You've got to perform well,' Alicia thought to herself, silently urging him on.
In an instant, the group of Physical-Cultivation Practitioners charged into battle, mixing it up with the monkeys to prevent them from entering the tree hole.
The monkeys were incredibly fierce. Monkeys, by nature, were already highly organized animals, similar to humans in many ways.
Furthermore, they had evolved into Exotic Beasts, and within moments, over forty monkeys gathered, forming a line, ready to tear apart the humans who were blocking their path to the Monkey King.
"These damn beasts are well-organized!" one of the Physical-Cultivation Practitioners swore. "Brothers, fight to the death! We'll share the spoils once we win!"
"Right! Let's go!" Red Snake shouted, filled with battle fervor, as he and the others charged forward with a fierce battle cry.
Level 1 Exotic Beasts are the weakest of their kind, and with each level they increase, their strength improves significantly. This is clearly demonstrated in the Bluewood Monkey group.
A Level 1 Bluewood Monkey is about a meter tall, with relatively weak strength and speed. Even a student like Kevin, or an ordinary person with a weapon, could easily hunt one down.
At Level 2, there is a noticeable improvement. The monkeys' height increases to around 1.2 to 1.3 meters, their strength grows, and their speed becomes faster. If they're not Low-level extraordinary beings, they'll be difficult to deal with.
Levels 3 and 4 are even more impressive. These are the main force of the monkey group, making up about half of the population. They stand at 1.6 meters tall, with muscular builds, capable of using weapons, and their minds are much sharper. They are tough opponents, capable of matching Low-level Physical-Cultivation Practitioners in combat!
"It seems that, in terms of individual strength, Red Snake's team has no disadvantage, and even has the upper hand. However, the sheer number of them is a huge flaw," Eric thought, standing on a high ground some distance away.
From this vantage point, Eric could roughly survey the battlefield, his mind working on which Magic to use.
"Damn it! Handling two Level 4 Bluewood Monkeys on my own is getting tough! If it was just one, I'd have won already!" one of the Physical-Cultivation Practitioners shouted as he fought.
"Stop complaining! I'm facing four Bluewood Monkeys at once, and I'm… I'm out of breath!" another Physical-Cultivation Practitioner gritted his teeth.
"Stop whining. Who isn't facing three or more at once? But this monkey horde is too many we really can't hold up against this!" Red Snake's face was grim.
The worries before the battle were proving true. Less than ten seconds after the fight began, it was already clear that the battle was leaning in favor of the monkeys. With more than four times their number, this outcome was inevitable.
It looked like the Physical-Cultivation Practitioners were about to be overwhelmed.
Suddenly, water spheres began falling from the sky!
"Water Sphere Technique!" Eric made his move. His expression was calm and cautious as he swung his hand, conjuring one water sphere after another.
These water spheres were special. Not only were they fast, making them hard to track, but their angles were also tricky, hitting Bluewood Monkeys in their weak spots, such as the head, abdomen, or lower body.
Most importantly, the power of the Water Sphere Technique was immense. Each water sphere exploded upon impact, instantly injuring a Bluewood Monkey. Any Bluewood Monkey struck by Eric's attack would immediately lose its combat ability!
"Shit! Magic! It's Magic! I almost forgot we had a Magic user assisting!" one of the Physical-Cultivation Practitioners shouted in astonishment.
"Hahaha, this Magic really works! A direct headshot and it blows the monkey's head off, and there are so many of them, it's like he's throwing them for free! Incredible. No wonder Magic users have such a high status..." Red Snake shouted excitedly.
He was facing the most Bluewood Monkeys. Earlier, he had been fighting five at once, and was on the verge of being overwhelmed. But with Eric's Water Sphere Technique, two of the monkeys were immediately taken care of.
Eric's assistance had another major advantage his attacks were strategic. He didn't just attack randomly; he carefully targeted the areas where help was most needed.
After observing the battlefield and analyzing the situation, Eric could always identify where the most urgent support was required, and swiftly intervened to help, rescuing nearly every Physical-Cultivation Practitioner from their dire situations!
