Chapter 22 - CHAPTER 22

Wesley and Claire were both surprised and delighted as they picked up their bottles of supplements and carefully read the instructions.

"Avery, your lab is amazing. It seems like they can develop anything," Wesley remarked.

Avery smiled. "Yes, I'm really lucky to be part of such a cutting-edge research team. I'll bring you samples of any new products our lab develops for you to try."

"Avery, Avery," Arthur said, playfully pressing his fists to his cheeks and pretending to look pitiful. "What about my gift? What did you get for me?"

Avery reached into her bag and pulled out a box, opening it to reveal its contents.

"Arthur, this is a prototype of the new super smartphone our lab just developed. It has satellite positioning and an automatic alarm system. It's waterproof, fireproof, shockproof, and theft-proof. You can read the manual for more details."

Everyone's eyes widened at the sight of the phone. It looked incredibly sleek and high-end. Good thing it was just a prototype; otherwise, it would cost a fortune.

"Thank you, Avery," Arthur said happily, taking the box and examining the phone, quickly navigating through its interface.

The phone was preloaded with all the essential apps, ready to use. He opened the settings to check the phone's specifications. His eyes nearly popped out of his head.

"The memory, the storage, the high-definition camera—is this for real? This phone's memory and storage are bigger than three regular computers combined, and the HD camera is like a mini DSLR!" he cried.

"I've never heard of such an advanced phone on the market…"

Avery chuckled. "That's why it's a prototype from the lab, not yet available for sale. It's for you to try out. Read the manual carefully; I won't explain further."

Arthur was at the age where having a good phone was essential, especially since he was good-looking. This phone's features and specifications were far beyond simple, and it would cost a seven-figure sum on the market. But Avery didn't mention that to avoid overwhelming the family.

Maria watched with envy. Josie and Arthur's gifts were so practical and suited them perfectly. What would Avery give her? She wasn't as capable as Arthur or as adorable as Josie. Would Avery like her gift?

As she worried, Avery took out a cloth bag from her purse and retrieved a folded leather item. Everyone quickly set aside their gifts to see what Avery had brought this time.

Avery unfolded the leather item. It was a shoulder bag for women. The bag was a versatile light brown, with a simple design and a slightly larger size. The front was adorned with two intertwined silver metal clasps, an "S" and an "H."

The bag's style wasn't trendy, but it was very appealing. At first glance, it seemed "nice." On the second look, it was "really beautiful." By the third glance, it was hard to look away, and people began to praise it:

"The design of this bag is stunning, with exquisite craftsmanship. Every detail is perfect, and the overall look is so harmonious. It's like a work of art."

Everyone present found the bag increasingly attractive, as if they were admiring a piece of art.

With each passing second, Maria's eyes widened with admiration. After a while, she finally spoke, incredulous, "Is this a Yonder bag?"

"Yonder?" Arthur looked puzzled. "What's a Yonder?"

"Yonder is a women's fashion brand under V Group," Maria explained excitedly. "Their products include bags, clothes, shoes, and jewelry, but they never advertise, so most people don't know about them."

"But in the industry, Yonder is known for having the best quality, combining artistry and practicality, with designs that are uniquely stylish and beautiful. I've always loved Yonder's designs and dreamed of owning one of their bags, but they're incredibly expensive, usually in the seven-figure range…"

Maria suddenly bit her lip and glanced at Avery, unsure whether to continue. Given the price of Yonder products, it seemed unlikely that the bag Avery gave her could be genuine, no matter how high-quality it appeared. Of course, she didn't mean to sound ungrateful—she just realized she might have misspoken.

Avery understood what Maria was thinking and smiled. "Yonder collaborates with our lab, which provides them with the special synthetic leather used in this bag. I designed this bag myself, with Miss Yonder's permission and approval. You could consider it an unofficial Yonder product," Avery winked.

Maria's eyes sparkled with excitement. "You know Miss Yonder?"

Avery nodded with a smile. "Yes, I do."

"Oh my gosh, Avery, you're so lucky!" Maria hugged the bag, her cheeks flushed with excitement. "Miss Yonder is my number one idol! My biggest dream is to become a designer like her and create unique, timeless jewelry."

Realizing she might have gotten carried away, Maria sheepishly rubbed her nose. "But I'm just an ordinary girl. How could I ever become a master like Miss Yonder? I'm just dreaming. Don't take it seriously."

Arthur, puzzled, asked, "Maria, who is Miss Yonder? Why do you admire her so much?"

Maria's eyes lit up with admiration as she explained enthusiastically, "Miss Yonder is the founder and top designer of the Yonder brand. She doesn't design many pieces, but each one is unique, with a distinctive style and aesthetic, often called the most wearable works of art."

"Because her designs are so rare and in high demand, they're usually acquired through auctions, with starting prices in the millions."

Maria continued, "Some of her pieces are even held in top museums."

Hearing this, Claire expressed her admiration. "Listening to you, I want a piece by Miss Yonder too! When our family prospers, I'll buy each of you a Miss Yonder creation so we can all experience the allure of luxury."

Avery simply smiled, saying nothing.

"Yonder is more than just a luxury brand; it's essentially high-tech everyday wear. That's impressive," Arthur said, amazed. "Is Miss Yonder a man or a woman? How old is she? Is she a designer from our country? " Y
