Chapter 7 - ESCAPE PLAN 2

As the ship sailed away from Avna, Halven and Kurten felt a sense of relief wash over them. They had made it out of the village, and were one step closer to freedom.

However, their journey was far from over. The seas surrounding Tenria were treacherous, filled with deadly sea creatures that had been mutated by the planet's unique magical properties.

Captain Orion, a grizzled and experienced sailor, stood at the helm of the ship, his eyes fixed on the horizon. He had navigated these waters many times before, but he knew that the journey would be far from easy.

"Keep a sharp lookout, men," he bellowed to his crew. "We don't want any surprises from the sea."

The crew, a motley bunch of sailors and fighters, nodded and scrambled to their stations. They had been bribed by Kurten to help them escape, and they were eager to collect their pay.

Kurten had paid them a small fortune, 100 gold coins, to smuggle them out of Avna. It was a steep price, but Kurten had known that it was worth it.

As the ship sailed on, Halven and Kurten stood at the rail, watching the sea spray and feeling the wind in their hair. They were finally free, and they were determined to make the most of it.

But their journey was far from over. They still had to navigate the dangers of the sea, avoid detection by the village guards, and find a new home where they could start anew.

Their destination was the continent of Elyria, a land of lush forests, sparkling lakes, and winding rivers. Kurten had heard that Elyria was a place of beauty and wonder, where they could start a new life and leave their past behind.

As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the sea, Captain Orion turned to Kurten and Halven with a grin. "We're making good time, lads," he said. "We should reach Elyria within a fortnight."

Halven and Kurten exchanged a look of excitement and relief. They were finally on their way to a new life, and they were determined to make the most of it.

But as they sailed on, they couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. The sea was full of dangers, and they knew that they had to be constantly on guard.

As night began to fall, Captain Orion gave the order to drop anchor. The crew scrambled to obey, and soon the ship was riding safely at anchor.

Halven and Kurten stood at the rail, watching the stars twinkle to life in the night sky. They were finally free, and they were determined to make the most of it.

But as they stood there, they heard a faint splashing sound coming from the water. It was a soft, rhythmic sound, like something was swimming towards the ship.

Halven and Kurten exchanged a nervous glance. What could be making that sound? They knew that the sea was full of dangers, and they were determined to be prepared.

"Captain Orion," Kurten called out, his voice low and urgent. "I think we have a problem."

Captain Orion turned to them, his eyes narrowing. "What is it, lad?" he asked.

Halven pointed to the water. "I think something is coming towards us."

Captain Orion's expression turned grim. "Get the crew ready," he bellowed. "We don't know what we're up against."

The crew scrambled to obey, grabbing swords and shields as they prepared to defend the ship.

As they waited, the splashing sound grew louder, and soon a massive shape emerged from the darkness. It was a sea monster, its body a twisted mass of tentacles and scales.

Halven and Kurten stared in horror as the monster attacked the ship. But Captain Orion and his crew were ready, fighting back with all their might.

The battle was fierce and intense, with the monster's tentacles snapping wildly as it tried to crush the ship. But Captain Orion and his crew were seasoned fighters, and they managed to hold off the monster's attacks.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the monster retreated back into the darkness, defeated. The crew cheered, relieved that they had survived the attack.

Halven and Kurten stared at each other, shaken but grateful. They had made it through the attack, and they were one step closer to their destination.

As the ship sailed on, Captain Orion turned to them with a grin. "Well, lads," he said. "I think we've earned a bit of a rest. Let's get some food and drink, and then we'll get back to sailing."

Halven and Kurten nodded, still shaken but grateful for the captain's kindness. They knew that they still had a long journey ahead of them, but they were determined to make it to Verkinis and start their new life.

Over the next few days,
