The team sat at breakfast after their morning run.
The girls were all managing it now. Winter had created a double sports bra for Indy that was like an old-fashioned corset. Nothing at all moved when she ran in it, and she felt much more confident she could hold her own now in the rest of their mixed training exercises.
Training had begun in earnest, integrating the dogs and the dragons as much as possible. Ruby was in seventh heaven, having been tasked with managing the dingos.
Cormac sat at his own table, waiting for Lili. Magnus walked over with his food and sat down.
"Get lost man," he said to his friend. "That seat's for my girl."
He waved Lili over to join him.
Magnus shook his head at him. The boy was too intense. Less panting after her and more playing it cool was what was needed with that wild girl; anyone could see that.
