Chapter 6 - 006. World Changes

**Black Mansion**

The days drag on, but time, that traitor, passes too quickly. The old year has bid farewell, and a new one is announced, filled with promises and uncertainties. Nael and his mother, Celestia, returned to the imposing Black mansion, a place that was once home and now felt like a labyrinth of memories. Celestia decided it was time to spend some time alone with her son in the apartment, trying to recall the old days that seemed so distant. Although this attempt was not as effective as they had hoped, at least their relationship progressed — a small miracle amid the emotional chaos surrounding them.

Nael looked out the apartment window, observing the heavy clouds in the gray sky. The air was thick with humidity, and the feeling of nostalgia enveloped him like a heavy cloak. He remembered the days when the house was filled with laughter and conversation; now, everything echoed in solitude. "At least we managed to exchange a few words each day," he thought to himself, wearing a somewhat serious expression. It was progress, even if small — having dinner together at the same table felt like a victory.

The changes in Nael were palpable. He longed for a simpler life, perhaps because his history was filled with shadows: violence, death, and murder. He had once been a prostitute — a life that felt like it belonged to someone else. Now, he yearned to turn the page and seek a normal existence alongside normal people. To hide his robust physique and striking features, he began wearing baggy clothes and a hood that concealed his almost transparent white hair with black streaks. His eyes — a mesmerizing mix of colors reminiscent of an aurora borealis — were hidden behind reading glasses imbued with disguise technology that Celestia had given him.

In this new school year, Nael decided to try out the nerd life. "Why not?" he thought. "Maybe this will help me blend in." The idea of being invisible among his peers was tempting; he didn't want to be the center of attention. But there was something deeper in this choice: loneliness accompanied him like a constant shadow.

As he reflected on his extraordinary abilities, Nael realized he possessed nearly four times the strength of an average human and three times the speed. He felt like a predator among defenseless prey — faster than a cheetah, reaching almost 150 km/h; his mental capabilities were three times better than average. His reflexes were three times quicker than any normal human's; his senses were sharpened like those of a wolf on the hunt. He could distinguish subtle scents in the air and see in the dark as if it were day. And to top it off, his regenerative abilities were 1000 times superior to those of an ordinary person.

But it wasn't just Nael who had evolved during this short period of time. Celestia also made significant progress in science; she had created chips and nanobots that could be injected into the human body to enhance speed, agility, and endurance. These tiny devices allowed for rapid healing from severe injuries — even gunshot wounds — granting strength three times greater than average human strength. However, this information leaked into the outside world; Celestia found herself compelled to share her discovery with some of the planet's largest organizations. It wasn't a free donation; each nanobot cost billions of dollars.

Celestia also distributed this technology to her daughter Nayara and to key families within the Assassin Order. Some tech companies developed cyborg technology that involved humans imbued with weaponry technology that was slightly inferior to nanobots but came with some advantages. The world was on the brink of chaos; those with power became even more powerful while those without sank into misery.

## POV: Nael

Finally back at Black Mansion and school is about to start. "What the hell!" I muttered as I let out a deep sigh while throwing myself onto the empty sofa in the living room.

"What the hell! What happened?" Kira asked with poorly disguised curiosity as she stretched beside me.

"School is about to start and I don't know how to tell Celestia that I slept with her best friend... twice!" I replied ironically, looking at Kira who was naked beside me.

She let out a nervous laugh before responding: "Just say it was an accident and it will never happen again."

I looked at her with a skeptical expression. "Do you really think this will be the last time?"

Kira looked away, clearly insecure about the gravity of the situation.

"So you want me to say I tripped down the stairs and fell into your best friend's genitals! And that I was naked in my room more than once?" I said sarcastically.

"You better get ready and go back to the guest room," I said quickly, feeling my heart race at the possibility of an impending confrontation. "If she finds you here, she'll freak out and bring hell on earth, and I don't want to know what comes next."

Kira let out a resigned sigh. "Sorry, I don't have enough strength to go back to my room right now."

"Didn't you have superhuman strength from those nanobots? Try to hold on; I think you can manage," I said with an innocent look.

"I'm going to take a shower," I said as I slowly got up for my shower.

I stepped into the shower and let the hot water run over my body for a few minutes — it felt like each drop washed away not just my skin but also my momentary worries. When I got out, Kira was already softly snoring in bed.

I quickly dressed and looked down the hallway to make sure no one was around. When I glanced out the window, I saw my mother entering the mansion with a determined expression on her face.

I rushed to the guest room and quickly tidied everything up before spraying some women's perfume in the air — the sweet scent was almost suffocating, but I needed to disguise any trace of her presence here.

No matter how much we had recently argued about our conflicting feelings, that didn't give me the right to act however I wanted.

## POV: Kira

I never thought that the boss's son would be... well, after all, he used to be the most expensive and skilled prostitute anyone ever recommended! A friend had recommended him before, but I never had the pleasure of experiencing that unique experience myself. I don't know if the boss knows about that part of his life. But my God! When I first saw that man naked, I almost doubted it could fit inside me!

The pleasure I felt was overwhelming — almost three times more intense than any previous experience! Every touch from him was electrifying; it felt like every part of him had its own flavor: his lips tasted like fresh fruit; his body exuded a unique mix of chocolate and something sweet that made me dizzy.

I knew there was something wrong with me for being so attracted to him — after all, he was just an ordinary boy! But that night left me completely stunned; my legs trembled as I tried to process everything.

Now here I am thinking about how I was knocked out by this ordinary boy while trying to sleep again. It's hilarious thinking about it; the boss of the best information-gathering organization in the world being dominated by someone so young!

## POV: Celestia

The time I spent with Elyon wasn't in vain; our relationship improved — even if just a little bit. Now we manage to talk more frequently; still only occasionally exchange words between us — but that's already something significant for me! He seems to have gotten along well with Jane, Mary, and Kira; even Eric seems to have managed to establish some connection with him.

Today I'm taking Nayara to meet her brother for the first time — my heart races at imagining how this meeting will go! I sincerely hope they can play together like siblings should; it's time for him to know about her existence!

"Mom, why are you so distracted looking out the window?" Nayara asked impatiently while swinging her legs nervously.

"Nothing special... just wanted to introduce you to someone," I replied excitedly while trying to hide my growing anxiety.

"Aren't you curious about who it is?" I asked, trying to provoke her youthful curiosity.

"No!" she replied disinterested while continuing to look out at trees passing by outside.

During our short walk up to the door of the mansion we exchanged several conversations about how she has lived away from me — her recent experiences have been fascinating! She revealed she is coming back to live with me permanently and is excited about going back to school again — which made me immensely happy!

Finally we arrived at the door of our home where I spotted Eric standing in the kitchen with a serious expression on his face.

"Eric?" I called as we entered the mansion with hopeful eyes.

"I don't know... he must be sleeping," he replied seriously as always while staring intently at something outside his line of sight.

When I looked up again, I saw Nael slowly descending down the stairs as if emerging from his personal hell's depths. He stopped halfway down with a dark expression on his face — something very strange coming from him at such a tense moment!

## POV: Nayara

Since that fateful day when I betrayed Nael and killed him, my mind has been in constant turmoil — haunted by memories of that horrendous night when everything collapsed between us! Life continues its course; I did what needed doing... but sincerely wish nothing had happened in such an awful way! Every night when I close my eyes I'm tormented by dreams where I see his death repeating itself — it's unbearable!

I decided to come home in desperate hope of refreshing my tormented mind; The Queen agreed with me — it was long overdue! I called my mother asking her to come pick me up while we chatted about trivial feminine matters during our drive without knowing exactly what would be my final destination that fateful night!

Upon arriving home and walking toward the kitchen I saw someone unexpected: Nael! A ghost from my past standing before my eyes!

"00," I murmured involuntarily upon seeing that familiar yet distant face as if witnessing a mirage amidst desert!

"01," he replied coldly as always — but there was something different about him now; something darker lingered around his presence!

I pulled a gun from my waistband without thinking twice: "Is it for revenge?" I challenged nervously while feeling my heart race uncontrollably within my chest!

"Your problem is with me... not them," he said calmly as his eyes pierced deeply into mine as if trying to decipher my tormented soul!

"What's happening here?" my mother asked confused upon realizing our rising tension among us three within that room laden by oppressive silence!

"Hello princess," Nael said without looking at her while slowly descending down stairs — feeling his presence heavy like a storm ready to burst forth!

Without waiting any longer, a pressed trigger against him fired a shot towards belly — yet still! He didn't stop or show any pain whatsoever; merely stared at me waiting for something deeper from our insane interaction present among us two right there!

"What have you done? He's your brother!" exclaimed my mother, stunned upon realizing the gravity situation before her!

Nael fixed his gaze on me while descending the stairs slowly; his look serious, unlike anything I'd ever seen before—something terrifyingly intense emanated from him now!

"I think you shot in the wrong place," he said calmly while bringing the gun towards own head defiantly! "Try shooting now... I'm sure you won't miss it."

Silence hung between us as everyone watched horrifying scenes unfold before them! My mother was terrified; she'd never seen such expression on him before—always indifferent towards human emotions until this critical moment!

"No! Don't shoot!" screamed my mother desperately trying to reach me pulling a gun from trembling hands facing insanity unfolding around us three present moment tense!

Nael looked directly into my eyes: "As expected, you can't pull the trigger... so let me show you how it's done." He loaded the gun and fired exactly where I'd shot on fateful day. We shared history together—where everything began crumbling between us two...

"Now we're even! And look at the damage done... ruined my new shirt," he said ascending stairs again without looking back while everyone remained paralyzed by the shock and brutal revelation shared among us three present tense moments!

The feeling was surreal; deep down inside my heart knew: "You still are the same." Felt relief mixed happiness finding him again... but also confusion regarding all this—after all who would've guessed he'd be brother?

"What just happened here?" asked my mother, now seriously angry, trying to comprehend the entire insane situation before her!

Crap! Knew I'd messed everything up!
