Chapter 70 - The Wrath of the Abyss

The weight of Gon's loss pressed heavily on Kilua's chest. The memory of his friend's last words echoed in his mind, reverberating with every step he took forward. The air around him felt thick, heavy with the presence of the Entity, whose voice still lingered in the darkness.

"The price of your defiance," the Entity whispered, its words as cold as the void that surrounded them. "Is death. And now, the world will see the price of your defiance as well."

Kilua's fists clenched, the surge of anger burning in his veins. "I'll make you pay for this. I'll make you regret ever crossing my path." His voice, once filled with uncertainty and fear, now rang with the determination that only loss could bring.

The world around him seemed to warp, shifting in response to his growing rage. His Nen flared, pulsing with a new intensity, a power forged in the heat of grief. He had lost Gon—his brother, his closest friend—and he would make sure the Entity knew that this was not the end.

Suddenly, the ground cracked open beneath him, and from the abyss emerged a figure cloaked in shadows. The air grew cold, each breath a struggle as the entity's presence intensified. The figure, tall and imposing, with eyes that gleamed like twin stars, stepped forward. Kilua's heart skipped a beat as recognition dawned upon him.

It was his brother, Illumi Zoldyck.

"Kilua," Illumi's voice was smooth, almost comforting, but there was a coldness beneath it that sent a chill through Kilua's spine. "So, you've finally decided to fight back. How amusing."

Kilua's eyes narrowed. "Illumi, what are you doing here?"

Illumi smiled, the expression twisted, mocking. "You think you can escape your fate, Kilua? You think that your rage, your pain, will somehow change who you are? You'll always be part of the Zoldyck legacy. A tool to be used, a weapon to be controlled."

Kilua's hands shook with fury. "I'm nothing like you. I'm nothing like our family. I've made my own choices."

Illumi's smile faltered, just for a moment. "You're a fool, Kilua. You can't escape what you are. You've always known that. You can fight, you can rage against it all you want, but in the end, you will always be mine to control."

Kilua's Nen exploded with a violent force, the raw power of his emotions fueling every movement. He charged forward, determined to end the torment once and for all. But Illumi's figure melted into the shadows, his presence vanishing as though he were nothing more than a figment of Kilua's imagination.

"This is not the way, Kilua," the Entity's voice rang out again, its sinister echo filling the space. "Your family is your fate. You cannot escape them."

Kilua's heart raced as the world around him began to distort once more. But this time, something within him had shifted. The rage, the grief, and the pain had all converged into a singular purpose: to destroy the Entity and the dark legacy that had haunted him for so long.

"I won't be controlled anymore," Kilua muttered through gritted teeth. "I'm not a weapon. I'm not a tool."

His Nen pulsed again, but this time, it was different. It was pure, unfettered by the chains of his past. He focused all of his energy into one single point, his resolve hardening like steel. The darkness around him began to recede, the Entity's voice faltering as it struggled to maintain its hold.

"You think you can defeat me?" the Entity hissed, its form flickering in and out of existence. "You are nothing but a shadow, a reflection of your own weakness."

Kilua's eyes burned with determination. "No. I am Kilua Zoldyck, and I will not be defined by anyone—not by my family, not by you."

The Entity's form writhed, as if in pain, but Kilua pushed forward, his Nen growing more powerful with each passing second. The shadows began to collapse, the Entity's influence faltering as it realized that Kilua's will was stronger than it had anticipated.

But just as Kilua was about to deliver the final blow, the Entity's voice returned, sharp and mocking.

"You think you've won?" it sneered. "You think your resolve can defeat me? Let me show you the true cost of your defiance."

Suddenly, the world around Kilua shattered, and he was plunged into darkness once again. This time, there was no light, no escape. Only the oppressive weight of the Entity's power, suffocating him from all sides. His Nen flickered weakly, and for the first time, Kilua felt the true extent of his isolation. The Entity was not just an enemy—it was a reflection of everything he had ever feared.

"Gon…" Kilua whispered, his voice breaking. "I couldn't save you. I couldn't protect you from this."

Tears filled his eyes as the darkness consumed him, but in his heart, a fire burned. The memory of Gon's smile, of their bond, kept him going, even as the Entity's grip tightened around him.

"I won't let it end like this," Kilua said, his voice resolute, though weak. "I'll fight until the very end."

And in the depths of the abyss, Kilua's struggle continued, the shadow of the Entity pressing down on him with every passing second. But despite the crushing weight of the darkness, Kilua Zoldyck would not yield. His fight had only just begun.
