Chapter 57 - Chapter 55: Welcome to the Shadowed Cliff Castle

The faint light of early morning seeped through the cracks in the heavy stone walls of the Shadowed Cliff Castle, illuminating a series of identical, starkly minimalistic rooms. The stone floors were bare, the walls unadorned, and the only furniture consisted of a simple bed, a wooden chair, and a desk.

Rias Gremory stirred from her slumber, her crimson hair cascading over her shoulders as her groggy mind tried to process her surroundings. It didn't take long for the fog to clear—and for her temper to ignite.

"Where am I?" she growled, sitting upright and clenching her fists.

She swung her legs off the bed and stormed out of the room, her bare feet slapping against the cold stone floor as she moved into the dimly lit hallway.

Rias's Fury Unleashed

The rest of her peerage was waking up as well, each emerging from their rooms with varying levels of confusion and irritation.

"Where are we?" Akeno asked, her voice calm but her eyes sharp.

"This isn't Kuoh Academy," Kiba muttered, looking around cautiously.

Koneko rubbed her eyes, her expression flat as always. "This place smells… old."

Issei stumbled into the hallway, still half-asleep. "What's going on? Did we get kidnapped or something?"

"Kidnapped?!" Rias snarled, her crimson eyes blazing. "Raizer!"

As if on cue, Raizer Phoenix appeared at the far end of the hallway, leaning casually against the wall with his arms crossed.

"Good morning," he said, his smirk infuriatingly calm.

Rias's rage exploded. "You kidnapped us, you bastard! Do you have any idea who I am?! What gives you the right—"

Raizer held up a hand, cutting her off. "You're Rias Gremory. We all know who you are. And I'm the guy who's going to make sure you and your peerage don't embarrass yourselves or the underworld ever again."

Rias Attacks

Rias's patience snapped. With a yell, she summoned her magic and launched a blast of crimson energy at Raizer.

Raizer didn't even flinch. Before the magic could reach him, he disappeared in a blur of movement and reappeared behind Rias.

"What—?" she gasped, but her words were cut off as Raizer grabbed the back of her neck, his fingers holding her firmly like a scruffed cat.

"Calm down, princess," Raizer said, his voice dripping with mockery.

"Let me go!" Rias screeched, flailing helplessly in his grasp.

"Gladly," Raizer said, and without another word, he tossed her over his shoulder and through an open window.

Rias's scream echoed through the castle as she soared through the air, landing with a loud thud in the training field below.

The Peerage Gets the Same Treatment

The rest of her peerage stared in stunned silence, unsure of what to do.

"Well," Raizer said, cracking his knuckles. "Let's not waste time. You're all going down there too."

"What?!" Akeno exclaimed, her composure slipping.

"You can't be serious," Kiba said, backing away slightly.

Raizer smirked. "I'm always serious."

One by one, he grabbed them and sent them flying out the window.

Issei went first, screaming all the way down. "Why me?! I didn't do anything!"

"You existed. That's enough," Raizer replied.

Next was Kiba, who tried to resist but was swiftly overpowered.

Koneko didn't even try to fight, simply muttering, "This is dumb," as Raizer picked her up and tossed her out.

Akeno struggled the most, but even she couldn't escape Raizer's grip. "You'll regret this!" she shouted before disappearing through the window.

Finally, Gasper, shaking like a leaf, stammered, "P-Please don't—" but his plea was ignored as he followed the rest.

The Training Begins

Raizer sauntered down to the training field, where Garp was already waiting with his trademark grin.

"They're all yours, Garp," Raizer said, gesturing to the pile of groaning devils scattered across the grass.

Garp cracked his knuckles. "Good. They look soft. Time to toughen 'em up!"

Rias staggered to her feet, glaring at Raizer. "You can't treat us like this!"

Raizer crossed his arms. "Oh, but I can. You're here to train. Either you grow stronger, or you die. No third option."

"You're insane," Kiba muttered, still catching his breath.

"No," Raizer said, smirking. "I'm just practical."

Garp's Training Methods

Garp stepped forward, clapping his massive hands together. "Alright, listen up! I don't care who you are, where you're from, or what your fancy titles are. In this field, you're nothing but a bunch of weaklings. And I'm here to fix that."

Issei raised a shaky hand. "Do we get a warm-up first?"

Garp grinned. "Oh, you'll warm up, alright."

Without warning, Garp slammed his fist into the ground, sending a shockwave that knocked everyone off their feet.

"Lesson one!" Garp bellowed. "No whining. No excuses. If you complain, you get double the work!"

Breaking the Pervert

Garp turned his attention to Issei, who was still trembling. "You. The loud one. What's your deal?"

"I-I'm the Red Dragon Emperor!" Issei stammered.

Garp snorted. "You? A dragon? Don't make me laugh. You're nothing but a disgusting little pervert."

Issei's face turned red. "That's not true!"

"Really?" Garp said, raising an eyebrow. "What's the first thing you think about when you see a woman?"

Issei froze, unable to answer.

"Exactly," Garp said, crossing his arms. "You're pathetic. But don't worry—I'll beat that nonsense out of you soon enough."

No More Laziness for Rias

Next, Garp turned to Rias, who was still glaring at Raizer.

"And you," Garp said, jabbing a finger at her. "You're supposed to be a leader, but all I see is a spoiled brat."

Rias's jaw dropped. "Excuse me?!"

"You heard me," Garp said. "You've been handed everything in life, and what have you done with it? Nothing. That ends today."

Rias sputtered, but Garp ignored her protests.

Breaking Shyness

Finally, Garp walked over to Gasper, who was hiding behind Koneko.

"What's your problem, kid?" Garp asked, crouching down to look him in the eye.

"I-I'm scared of people," Gasper stammered, trembling.

Garp's grin widened. "Scared, huh? Don't worry—I've got just the thing to fix that."

Before Gasper could react, Garp hoisted him into the air and threw him into the center of the field. "You're going to fight every single person here until you stop being scared. Got it?"

Gasper whimpered but nodded.

Raizer's Amusement

Raizer leaned against a nearby tree, watching the chaos unfold with a satisfied smirk.

"I have to hand it to Garp," Shiki said, floating lazily beside him. "The old man really knows how to whip people into shape."

"He's the best there is," Raizer replied. "If they survive, they'll come out stronger than ever."

"And if they don't?" Mihawk asked, his tone dry.

Raizer shrugged. "Then they weren't worth saving in the first place."

Cliffhanger: The First Day of Hell

As Garp's booming voice filled the field, Rias and her peerage realized they were in for the toughest challenge of their lives. The road ahead would be grueling, but one thing was certain: by the time Garp was done with them, they would never be the same.
