Chapter 1 - 1. Warrene city

The city was filled with the silence in the darkness of the night. The thumping sound of rain became louder to break the silence but heavier within their fear of residents. There was no sign of life in the street.

The whole city was playing hide and seek within the fear of serial killer in the city. They all were hiding in the depth of darkness in their house wondering that who will be killed next? Although, the six serial killers were already caught but the fear was high rooted. They could hardly overcome the fear and the darkest sight from there.

It was deadly darkness spread all over the city. The darkness was galloping the light. The TV near the tea shop twinkling in the dim light displayed the news in its screen. A man was speaking in his sad alerted voice...

"Breaking news"

"The cop has found new dead body near the Warrene River. His body parts were cut in small pieces and was totally burnt."

"The residents are in fear and afraid. Many people have already left the city in these three days." The sound of siren vanished the voice of journals on tv. As the car passed from there then the splash of water sprinkled the light over the tea shop.

"There is very huge question that detective Kim has caught the six serial killers, and will he succeed to catch the seventh one?" The last sound of tv was clearly heard as the car passed from there. The scorching sound could be hardly heard.

The whole city was full of siren. The rain was deeper and sounder in the night. People could harshly enjoy it. The cop started to move all around the bridge washing the falling dew drops of rain, but there were no people in the street.

The cop stopped their car near the bridge of Warrene River where victim body was found. The water was flowing deeply and heavily. People was no more seen at the bank. The sound of river was more sarcastic in the heavy rain. The sound of vehicle thumped itself in the rain.

A man in the black coat came out from the car, hitting the mud with his black boot. The mud was quite slippery and sloppy. He took out his umbrella and as usual he took out his cigar and stared at the scene near it, he was none other than Qui Falon, Commissioner of police. His face was full of muscles over his fat body. He hit the water with his boot as he walked from there down the bridge followed by the police officers by stepping on every huge stone.

There was everyone talking about the detective Kim Yie. They all were murmuring and gossiping with each other. Their voice was heard all along the cop gathered near the spot.

"Our detective has been totally upright. He has caught the prime suspect of ongoing serial murder case. Moreover, he solved all the cases of serial killers that was pending from years. His imagination is totally unbelievable."

The cop was murmuring all over around wearing their raincoat. Some were whimpering. They examined the spot carefully. They tied the rope around the spot and covered the entire area where dead body was found. The rain was washing away the mud from them. The mud had covered in red and black.

Qui Falon reached the spot and spoke, "can you all stop gossiping around and find out who is the murderer." He looked at the dead body and wore the surgical mask and white gloves. He watched the clean cut over its face. He moved his sight from his face to the body which was cut in eight pieces. The hands and legs were cut separately in pieces. The pieces were too small that was totally unimaginable.

Qui Falon spoke," it looks like these cuts indicates the mood of serial killer that he must be fond of killing. His killing is not going to stop." He flickered his paint that was wet with the rain. They hardly believed the things that was happening there. They were snuck in the rain." He must be too brutal. "

The man working with forensic team stood from the place and approached the commissioner. His body was slim with thin hand. He was youth with the slim hand, shining eyes and curly hair that was covered in the raincoat.

He smiled and spoke," do you want me to go his house and wake him up." He was none other than Selvam. He paused and spoke," we haven't found any clues so far."

"Ohm yeah! you got it right" he coughed. " He must need to be informed about the situation. Not everyone has guts like him to fight with a serial killer." He indirectly spoke about the detective Kim Yie. No one had ever dared to face the brutality of the serial killer when many armies and police officer were killed by him too.

Selvam stepped back and moved towards his bike. He removed the half-cut leaf from his black bike that was just fallen from tree near by it. He rode it and left from there.

Qui Falon moved towards the crime spot. As he approached there then a cop came from his behind and reported him. She was none other than Salera Liu. A woman with dark black hair and glowing face, standing high. Her body was quite slim and perfect.

She spoke, " Sir we have gathered all the information here, but we found no information here apart from this ring." She showed him the ring. The ring was quite sparkling in the torchlight lit there since it was too rural. They could see the fine drawing of dragon on the ring. She looked at it carefully and handed over to the commissioner, Qui Falon.

He kept on watching and spoke in a suspense," this ring looks so familiar." He looked the ring in and out again and again.

She replied," Sir I have seen this ring in the finger of detective Kim." She poked.

"What??" she asked.

The whole spot filled with silence. Qui Falon spoke," why is it here then?" His voice broke down and he immediately recovered from it and ran towards it throwing his umbrella down. There came a single voice," I have sent Selvam to his house to call him. He must be in danger if he is the seventh serial killer." He paused and continued," I always doubted his suspicious look."

Qui Falon picked his cell phone and called him, but the call dropped. He tried again and again but failed each time. Then he immediately ran towards his car and took out his walkie-talkie.

Selvam stopped his bike in front of very huge bungalow. He stepped down from the bike and approached the gate. He stood near the gate and rang the bell.

The door didn't open even after the long wait, so he rang the bell again but as usual there was no movement there.

Selvam tore down the long board with his frustration and read it loud enough to break the silence,

"The dog here is more dangerous than the gun here."

He threw the board down in the floor and looked above the wall near there. The wall was not so huge, so he decided to climb to it. "What the hellish life is it? Even by being the cop, I have to enter as a thief here. " He murmured himself and climbed the wall and jumped at other side.

He looked around to catch the eye of the dog there but saw that there was no sign of it. He murmured to himself, "no matter what the dog here is really scarier. It's better to avoid it. I wonder how I am going to reach upstairs. "

He walked hiding is footsteps sound in the darkness and slowly reached opened the door. He entered the house staring at every edge to capture the sight of the dog. He climbed the upstairs silently and reached the room where the great detective Kim Yie usually sleeps.

He slowly opened the door. The room was full of darkness and silent. He took his hand near the switch aside the door but paused. He thought to himself," if the dog is here then it will surely bite me to death. "

He holds his breathe and hold the door tightly thinking that he will close the door if the dog wakes up. He turned on the light and jammed the door by seeing the dog there.

He immediately opened the door as if he had seen something unusual there. His eyes locked the scenario there. It was totally a horrific scene there. The dog was lying in the pool of blood there. The whole room was mess. Everything was totally damaged and destroyed. The blood was everywhere around the wall and the floor.

The great detective was lying motionless on his bed covered in cut and blood.
