"Billionaire and accomplished entrepreneur, Tryson Bliss announces engagement."
"Tryson Bliss is set to marry millionaire actress, Riley Sam!"
"Breaking news: Billionaire Tryson Bliss proposes to Actress Riley Sam!"
Angel's screen displayed the headline news, as she looked at the images of her fiancé proposing to someone else.
She was in shock; one moment Tryson was hers, and the next, he was announcing his engagement to his ex-lover, Riley Sam.
As she browsed through the headlines, struggling to comprehend the situation, the door creaked open, drawing Angel's attention.
"There she is. Remove her from my brother's room," Angel heard Rachel, Tryson's sister, say as Rachel directed two burly men to drag her out of the room.
Angel wiped away the tears that had flowed down her cheeks, staring at Rachel in shock and disbelief.
In one instant, she was comfortably seated on Tryson's bed, watching the morning news unfold. The next moment, she found herself being forcibly pulled out of the room, as though she were a thief caught red-handed.
"Rachel, I'm begging you, hear me out—I can explain everything," Angel pleaded desperately as they descended the staircase to the living room.
Despite her earnest words, Rachel turned a deaf ear to her explanations.
What might Angel have anticipated?
Rachel had never been fond of her, and this presented the perfect chance to remove her from the home.
Finally!
Now she had the opportunity to accomplish that with confidence!
As soon as they entered the parlor, Angel was cast down to the floor with little regard, as if she were a mere commodity. She landed on her stomach, directly at the feet of the Bliss family.
Amell Bliss, the father of Tryson, fixed Angel with a look of pure disdain, his eyes filled with contempt.
Meanwhile, Evans Bliss, Tryson's mother, advanced toward Angel with determination.
As soon as Angel lifted her head, Evans delivered a thunderous slap across her face.
Angel slowly tilted her head to the side, her fingers gingerly brushing over the spot where she had been slapped.
Just then, Evans grabbed her forcefully, her voice filled with anger and disbelief as she demanded an explanation.
"How could you have done this to me?" she exclaimed. "I placed so much trust in you, and this is how you repay me?" The woman cried out in anguish, her voice echoing with pain.
She was on the verge of slapping Angel again when, suddenly, Samson, Tryson's brother, arrived just in time to stop his mother from escalating the situation.
"Let me end this girl," Evans shouted while Samson struggled to restrain her.
"Samson, hear me out—" Angel pleaded in a dejected voice, but Samson shot her a piercing glare.
"You've missed your opportunity," Samson said icily.
Angel looked at each family member in shock, hatred evident in every gaze, even in Samson's.
She believed she was cherished by them all, but it only took an instant for Tryson to turn against her, and soon after, the whole family did the same.
"You deceived us, you deceived the whole family, and you believe we'll want you in this house?" Amell said at last, leaning on his cane, his eyes fixed on Angel with a look of annoyance.
"Father, that wasn't my intention," Angel attempted to clarify.
"A waitress! You deceived this family, claiming to be a billionaire's child, and you assumed we wouldn't discover your true identity?" Amell interjected, his voice seething with anger.
"I warned you, father. There was something odd about her that I just couldn't put my finger on," Rachel shouted.
Angel bowed her head, pressing her lips together, feeling a pang in her heart as she reflected on how things had unfolded.
"But I can explain, Father—" Angel attempted to say.
"Such words should have come from someone destined to be my daughter-in-law. You were never that person, merely someone who sought to marry my son for his wealth. I'm truly relieved that Tryson realized the truth and is now engaged to Riley," Amell expressed to her, clearly disheartened by Angel.
Meanwhile, Angel bowed her head, acknowledging the truth.
She had indeed feigned being from a rich background and claimed to be Tryson's fiancée solely for the financial gain and the contract she had agreed to, playing the role of Tryson's fiancée before his family.
Yet, despite everything that had happened in her life, she found herself unable to suppress her growing feelings for Tryson.
She wanted to confess her love to Tryson, but in the middle of their charade, Riley Sam, Tryson's former lover, reappeared, and somehow, she saw Tryson drift away from her.
She lost Tryson to Riley but found something new.
She looked down at her flat stomach, her eyes filled with tenderness.
She intended to confess her feelings to Tryson and reveal that she had a child with him. However, as the moment slipped away, she noticed Tryson's indifference toward her.
The man she loved was slipping from her grasp; his attention was focused on Riley, leaving her as nothing more than a shadow in his life.
Although she knew she shouldn't be jealous, given the plan all along, she couldn't help how she felt.
Yet, she couldn't simply deny the emotions she felt for Tryson.
However, that was all behind her now; Tryson shattered her heart when he decided to get engaged to Riley!
Regarding his family, Angel lifted her head and met their eyes, each filled with disdain upon learning her true identity.
Indeed, she was Angel Johnson, a waitress whose life took a turn when she agreed to a contract to pose as Tryson's fiancée in front of his family.
Tryson proposed that she fabricate her identity to gain his family's acceptance, and she complied. Initially, she received affection from the onlookers, but that warmth soon faded.
It took just a moment for everyone to turn away from her, harboring resentment as soon as they realized she wasn't the person they believed her to be.
Angel inhaled deeply, wiped away her tears, and lifted her head to meet the gaze of the family.
"Alright, if you want me to go, I'll go," Angel declared, her voice trembling.
"You can't just walk away. I don't want you near my son, and if you're willing to comply, I'll pay you to keep your distance," Amell stated.
