Ronan fell to his knees beside Marta's unconscious form, studying her for a moment. Then, without warning, he stretched out his arm and slapped her cheek—hard enough to wake her up. Marta gasped, her green eyes snapping open in shock. She looked around wildly, trying to understand where she was.
Her eyes widened wide as she set eyes on these people before her: Cian, Lyra, Ronan, Aurelia, and Celeste. Just for a fleeting moment, she stared. With recognition, suddenly tears filled those eyes.
