As I approached the house, I saw a boy standing by the window, his gaze fixed on something outside. He was around my age, with piercing blue eyes that seemed to sparkle like sapphires in the fading light. His messy brown hair was tousled, as if he had just rolled out of bed, and his skin had a warm, golden glow that seemed to radiate from within.
I felt a sudden jolt of admiration as I took in his appearance. There was something about him that seemed so... captivating. Maybe it was the way his eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled to himself, or the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck. Whatever it was, I found myself drawn to him, my feet moving closer to the house as if of their own accord.
As I approached, the boy turned and caught sight of me. His eyes narrowed slightly, as if he was trying to place me, and then his face broke into a warm, gentle smile. "Hey," he said, his voice low and smooth, like honey. "Can I help you with something?"
I felt a flutter in my chest as he spoke, my heart skipping a beat. "I... I'm not lost," I stammered, feeling a little silly.
The boy raised an eyebrow, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Okay," he said, his tone skeptical. "Well, in that case, are you okay? You look a little... dazed."
I nodded, feeling a little embarrassed. "Yeah, I'm fine," I said, trying to sound casual. But the truth was, I was lost in his handsomeness, my mind reeling with the gentle way he spoke to me. There was something about him that seemed so... kind, so compassionate, that I felt like I could trust him with anything.
The boy nodded, his eyes never leaving mine. "Okay," he said, his voice soft. "Well, if you're sure you're okay, then... can I ask what you're doing here?"
I hesitated, unsure of how to respond. I didn't want to tell him that I had been exploring the woods, that I had stumbled upon the house by accident. But at the same time, I didn't want to lie to him, either. "I... I was just walking," I said finally, trying to sound nonchalant. "I saw the house and... I don't know, I just wanted to see it up close, I guess."
The boy nodded, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled. "I know what you mean," he said. "This house can be pretty... captivating. Would you like to come in and see it up close?"
I felt a surge of excitement at the prospect, my heart racing with anticipation. "Yeah," I said, trying to sound calm. "I'd love to."
The boy nodded, his eyes sparkling with pleasure. "Great," he said, stepping aside to let me in. "I'm Dalen, by the way."
"I'm... " I started to say, but my voice trailed off as I followed him into the house. I was too busy staring at him, my mind reeling with the way he moved, the way he smiled. I was lost in his handsomeness, and I didn't know if I ever wanted to be found.
