Chapter 4 - The Wedding Plans.

Sophia's mind was reeling as she tried to process the events of the past few days. She had agreed to marry Dante, and now she was faced with the reality of planning a wedding.

Dante had given her a list of instructions, including the date, time, and location of the wedding. Sophia was shocked to discover that the wedding was to take place in just two weeks' time.

"How am I supposed to plan a wedding in two weeks?" Sophia asked Rachel, who had come over to help her with the preparations.

Rachel looked at her with a mixture of concern and amusement. "Well, first of all, let's get one thing straight. You're not exactly 'planning' this wedding, are you?"

Sophia shook her head. "No, I'm not. Dante's taken care of all the arrangements. I just have to show up."

Rachel raised an eyebrow. "That's not exactly the romantic wedding of your dreams, is it?"

Sophia sighed. "No, it's not. But I have to do this, Rach. I have to see this through."

Rachel nodded, her expression serious. "I know you do, Soph. And I'll be here to support you every step of the way."

Together, the two friends began to make a list of all the things Sophia needed to do before the wedding. Sophia felt a sense of relief wash over her as she realized that she wasn't alone in this. Rachel was there to support her, and together, they could face whatever lay ahead.

But as Sophia looked at the list of tasks before her, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was making a huge mistake. Was she really ready to marry a man she barely knew?

As the days went by, Sophia found herself getting more and more anxious about the upcoming wedding. She had never been the type of person to get cold feet, but the more she thought about marrying Dante, the more she couldn't shake the feeling that she was making a huge mistake.

Rachel noticed Sophia's anxiety and tried to reassure her. "Soph, you're going to be fine," she said. "You're strong and capable, and you can handle whatever comes your way."

But Sophia couldn't shake the feeling of unease. She began to wonder if she had made a huge mistake by agreeing to marry Dante.

One night, as she was lying in bed, Sophia's phone buzzed with a text from Dante. "I'll be picking you up at 5 pm tomorrow for the rehearsal dinner," the text read.

Sophia felt a wave of anxiety wash over her. She wasn't ready for this. She wasn't ready to marry Dante and become a part of his family.

But it was too late now. The wedding was just a day away, and Sophia knew that she had to go through with it.

With a sense of resignation, Sophia got out of bed and began to pack her bags for the rehearsal dinner. She knew that she had to put on a brave face and pretend to be happy about the upcoming wedding.

But as she was packing, Sophia's mind began to wander. She couldn't help but wonder what the future held for her and Dante. Would they be happy together, or would their marriage be a disaster?

Only time would tell.

The next evening, Sophia put on a brave face and got ready for the rehearsal dinner. She wore a beautiful red dress that Rachel had helped her pick out, and her hair was styled perfectly.

As she was finishing up her makeup, there was a knock at the door. It was Dante, looking handsome in a black suit.

"You look stunning," he said, his eyes scanning her from head to toe.

Sophia felt a flutter in her chest, but she pushed it aside. She couldn't let herself get distracted by Dante's good looks.

"Thanks," she said, trying to sound casual. "You look pretty good yourself."

Dante smiled and offered her his arm. "Shall we?" he asked.

Sophia took his arm, and they walked out of the hotel room together. As they made their way to the rehearsal dinner, Sophia couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.

What was she getting herself into?

The rehearsal dinner was a lavish affair, with many of Dante's business associates and family members in attendance.

Sophia was introduced to Dante's parents, who were both impeccably dressed and polite. But Sophia could sense a hint of disapproval behind their smiles.

As the evening wore on, Sophia found herself feeling more and more overwhelmed. She was starting to realize just how much she had gotten herself into.

And then, just as she was starting to feel like she couldn't take it anymore, Dante took her hand and pulled her close.

"Are you okay?" he whispered in her ear.

Sophia nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. Maybe, just maybe, she could get through this after all.

As the night wore on, Sophia found herself feeling more and more at ease. Dante's family and friends seemed nice enough, and she was starting to feel like maybe this whole thing wouldn't be so bad after all.

But just as she was starting to relax, Sophia's eyes met those of a woman across the room. The woman was stunningly beautiful, with long blonde hair and piercing blue eyes.

And Sophia could sense a hint of hostility emanating from her.

"Who is that?" Sophia asked Dante, nodding discreetly towards the woman.

Dante's expression turned guarded. "That's my ex-girlfriend, Bianca," he said. "We... didn't exactly part on good terms."

Sophia's eyes widened in surprise. "I see," she said. "Well, I think I'll go introduce myself."

Dante's eyes narrowed. "I don't think that's a good idea," he said.

But Sophia was already making her way across the room, a smile plastered on her face.

"Hi," Sophia said, extending her hand to Bianca. "I'm Sophia, Dante's fiancée."

Bianca's eyes flashed with anger, but she took Sophia's hand nonetheless.

"Welcome to the family," Bianca said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Sophia felt a shiver run down her spine as she met Bianca's gaze. She knew that she had just made an enemy.

Bianca's eyes seemed to bore into Sophia's soul, as if searching for any sign of weakness. Sophia stood her ground, refusing to back down.

"I'm glad to meet you, Bianca," Sophia said, her voice steady. "I've heard a lot about you."

Bianca's smile was icy. "I'm sure you have," she said. "Dante can be very... forthcoming about his past."

Sophia felt a pang of curiosity. What had Dante told Bianca about their relationship? And what had really happened between them?

But before Sophia could ask any questions, Bianca turned and walked away, leaving Sophia feeling confused and more than a little intimidated.

As Sophia made her way back to Dante's side, she couldn't help but wonder what she had just gotten herself into.

"Who is Bianca, really?" Sophia asked Dante, her voice low.

Dante's expression turned guarded. "Bianca is someone from my past," he said. "We had a... complicated relationship."

Sophia raised an eyebrow. "Complicated?" she repeated.

Dante nodded. "Yes. Bianca is not a woman to be trifled with. She's intelligent, beautiful, and ruthless."

Sophia felt a shiver run down her spine. She had already gathered that Bianca was not a woman to be underestimated.

But what Sophia didn't know was just how far Bianca would go to get what she wanted.

As the night wore on, Sophia couldn't shake the feeling that Bianca was watching her. She kept catching glimpses of the other woman out of the corner of her eye, but whenever she turned to look, Bianca was nowhere to be seen.

It wasn't until they were getting ready to leave that Bianca made her move. She appeared at Sophia's side, her eyes glinting with malice.

"I hope you're happy with yourself," Bianca spat. "You think you've won, don't you? You think you've stolen Dante away from me."

Sophia felt a surge of anger, but she kept her cool. "I don't know what you're talking about," she said, her voice even.

Bianca laughed. "Don't play dumb with me," she said. "I know all about your little arrangement with Dante. And I have to say, I'm impressed. You're certainly... resourceful."

Sophia felt a chill run down her spine. How did Bianca know about her arrangement with Dante? And what did she plan to do with that information?

"I don't know what you're talking about," Sophia repeated, trying to keep her cool.

Bianca smiled. "We'll see about that," she said. And with that, she turned and walked away, leaving Sophia feeling shaken and uneasy.

What had just happened? And what did Bianca have planned?

As Bianca walked away, Sophia felt a sense of relief wash over her. She was glad to be rid of the other woman's toxic energy.

But as she turned to leave, Sophia caught Dante's eye. He was watching her with a intense gaze, his eyes narrowed slightly.

"What's going on?" Sophia asked him, feeling a sense of unease.

Dante's expression was guarded. "Nothing," he said. "Just Bianca being her usual dramatic self."

But Sophia wasn't convinced. She knew that there was more to the story than Dante was letting on.

As they left the restaurant and made their way back to the hotel, Sophia couldn't shake the feeling that she was in over her head.

Who was Bianca, really? And what did she want from Dante?

Sophia was determined to find out.
