Chapter one
Emily ran out of the wedding hall, her heels clicking the ground as she grabbed her wedding dress. No, she doesn't love Charles, she is not going to get married to him. Not in a million years. Her father chased after her, clenching her hands.
She violently let go of her hands and threw away her wedding ring. "Dad, I already told you before, am not going to marry Charles. I don't love him at all. Ryan is the love of my life and he loves me for me. Not for some business transaction".
Her father cover his eyes with one hand and shook his head. "This Ryan is not even in your status. He is a fucking waiter for crying out loud and you are the daughter of a billionaire. What exactly do you see in him".
"He loves me , Dad, not for the money. But for love. He doesn't care about how rich I am or anything. I am not going to get married to Charles and nobody can change my mind ever", she stood her ground, determined to free herself from this situation.
"Fine, go home and pack your things. If that's what you want , nobody is stopping you", he said, clearly angry at his daughter for making such a decision. He thought he had trained her well, that love isn't what it seems to be.
She smirked. "There is no problem with that", she turned to leave when she remembered something. "Can I get my will now, my inheritance". Her father was taken aback. "What?why?".
"Because I want to be independent, you don't think I will come back to ask you for money do you?, she spat, her voice filled with venom.
"Fine. It's obvious that this Ryan has blinded your eyes and covered your brain that you can't reason well. I will give you your inheritance, but your sister is taking over my company and will surely be the one to marry Charles ".
Emily shrugged, her eyes beaming. "That's fine by me, go ahead. Ryan and I will start our own company together ". She turned around and hopped into her car.
"Don't come begging when he breaks your heart ".
That was his last words before she left, her eyes met Charles who was standing at the door of the church. The driver drove off.
