Chapter 9: The Final Trial
The Oracle smiled and gestured for them to follow. They journeyed deeper into the mountains, until they reached a cavern carved into the heart of the earth. Inside, a crystal sphere floated above a pedestal, glowing with an ethereal light. This was the final trial.
Arjun stepped forward, the weight of the flame within him growing heavier with each step. The sphere shimmered, and a voice, deep and resonant, filled the cavern.
"Only one who understands the true nature of the Eternal Flame can pass the final trial. Are you prepared to give up everything you have gained?"
Arjun hesitated, the question sinking into his soul. The flame had shown him the world, the truth, but now he had to decide. Could he truly let go of what he had learned to achieve the ultimate goal?
"I am ready," he said, his voice steady.
With that, the sphere began to pulse, and the cavern filled with light.
