"If you can figure out how to develop a dojutsu that doesn't rely on the Sharingan, that would be even better! Go for it—I'm rooting for you!" Uzumaki Mito said with an encouraging smile.
"Uh…" Kaito scratched his head awkwardly and waved his hand dismissively. "I'll try, but I don't think it's likely."
"See, since it's a dojutsu, it naturally requires ocular power."
"No Sharingan means no ocular power. Although, the Byakugan does have some level of ocular power… Maybe it could work with that. Who knows?"
Uchiha Naori rolled her eyes at Uzumaki Mito and teased, "You wish! As if it'd be that easy!"
Then she turned to Kaito and added, "Even if you could actually create something like that, you're not giving it to anyone, especially not the Hyuga clan."
"If they could use it too, their power would skyrocket! Unless, of course, they're willing to submit to you entirely and make a contract. Otherwise, no free rides."
"Got it!" Kaito chuckled and nodded. "I'm on the same page. This kind of thing will only happen after I become Hokage and take control of the village."
"As for the Hyuga clan's Main and Branch House system and their cursed seal practices, those are going to change. There's no way I'd allow such a system to persist—enslaving people while operating outside the Hokage's authority."
"When the time comes, they'll have three choices: reform, face annihilation, or…" Kaito smirked. "Well, no third option, really."
"That's true," Uchiha Naori and Uzumaki Mito both nodded in agreement.
"Oh, right," Mito suddenly asked with a knowing smile. "Didn't you snag some of Hashirama's cells from Danzo's Root base? Why haven't you handed them over to me yet? Or… are you planning to use them yourself? Trying to gain wood-style powers, huh?"
"Uh…" Kaito scratched the back of his head and explained, "I do plan to research Hashirama's cells, but it's not just for wood-style."
"The main goal is to study his Sage Body."
"Of course, I'm not planning on doing human experiments casually. Even if I were, I wouldn't use people from the Senju or the Konoha Village."
"Plus, the results of this research would benefit the Senju, Uzumaki, and Uchiha clans immensely."
"Oh?" Mito raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "Go on. What kind of benefits are we talking about?"
Kaito nodded and continued, "When we made our contract, I shared a lot of information about the past and future with you, including the origins of the Senju, Uzumaki, and Uchiha clans."
"You know we all share a common bloodline."
"My hypothesis is that for the Uchiha to awaken the Rinnegan, they need the Sage Body—or at least part of Indra or Hagoromo's chakra—as a catalyst."
"That's why Madara only awakened the Rinnegan after fusing with Hashirama's flesh."
"Of course, this also ties into the fact that Madara was Indra's reincarnation and Hashirama was Asura's."
"Basically, the Sage Body, and the Asura chakra it contains, are key components."
"Down the line, when our clans intermarry, the Senju and Uzumaki clans will need the results of this research too."
"And if I succeed, we could enable all future Senju and Uzumaki clan members to develop Sage Bodies and wood-style abilities artificially. Isn't that something worth aiming for?"
Imagine it—if all three clans had Sage Bodies and wood-style powers. How strong would we become?
"You've really got a knack for painting a pretty picture," Mito said with a deep breath, massaging her temples as if she had a headache.
"If this really works, I wouldn't even be able to refuse. Compared to that, studying my husband's cells is a small matter."
"Are you sure you can pull this off? You're saying you won't need any Senju or Uzumaki clan members to help with the research?" she asked seriously.
"Pretty much!" Kaito nodded confidently. "Unless I'm at the stage where I've cracked the essence of the Sage Body and wood-style."
"After that, I might need a few people to run compatibility tests and adjust the formulas, but it'd only involve small, harmless samples."
Kaito was confident in his medical skills and talent. With his current abilities, he already had a good chance of succeeding. Not to mention, his skills were improving every day—breakthroughs and epiphanies weren't out of the question.
He was even considering bringing Orochimaru into a contract to help him with the research.
"And if I could kidnap Vegapunk from the One Piece world, that'd be perfect!" Kaito added, half-joking.
Too bad that wasn't realistic right now. Vegapunk was under heavy surveillance by the World Government.
Still, the Vinsmokes might be worth a shot.
Even Caesar Clown could be useful, though he was nowhere near Vegapunk's level.
"Brain-Brain Fruit is just too OP…" Kaito muttered wistfully.
"Is that so?" Uzumaki Mito murmured, sinking into thought for a moment. Then she raised her head, looking directly at Kaito. "Alright. I agree to this. I'll arrange for people to cooperate with your research moving forward."
"But promise me—you won't abuse this, and you won't let me down!"
"By the way, Kaito, do you think it's possible to bring Hashirama back to life in the future?"
Mito's voice softened as she thought about the prospect. With the potential to live far into the future and Kaito's plans to unite the ninja world under true peace, she couldn't help but hope for a way to reunite with Hashirama and enjoy a long, happy life together.
Besides, with powerful threats from the Ōtsutsuki clan and even the Pirate World looming in the future, Kaito would need strong allies by his side. Hashirama seemed like the perfect candidate for the job.
After all, resurrection wasn't impossible in the ninja world. If it were, the likes of Orochimaru wouldn't have bothered pursuing it.
Even Uchiha Naori chuckled at Mito's sentimentality. "I didn't expect you to be such a romantic!" she teased. "But honestly, reviving Hashirama could be a good move—it'd be a big help for Kaito."
As for bringing back her own husband? Naori hadn't even considered it. It wasn't feasible; her husband's body had been completely incinerated during battle, leaving nothing behind.
"Thank you, Lady Mito, for your support!" Kaito said earnestly before responding to her question. "As for reviving the First Hokage? Once I awaken the Rinnegan, or if I can get my hands on Madara's Rinnegan, it's definitely possible."
"As long as I can address the risks of using the Outer Path: Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique (Gedo Art of Rinne Rebirth), it won't be a problem at all."
"With the First Hokage's strength and talent, if I nurture him with my methods, he'll shine even brighter in the future. He'll be a massive help!"
"Not just the First Hokage—I'd also bring back the Second Hokage. His genius is wasted if it's not put to work in research!" Kaito's eyes sparkled with excitement.
"Maybe once I become Hokage, I'll learn Edo Tensei (Reanimation Jutsu) and use it to bring them both back temporarily."
"One can help Lady Mito with reforestation and engineering projects."
"The other can focus on research. It'd be perfect!"
By now, Kaito's imagination was running wild, his eyes practically glowing.
As for combat? He didn't really need the First Hokage for that.
Even Yamato's wood-style would be enough for construction and real estate development—so imagine what Hashirama could do! Once Kaito became Hokage, he planned to completely rebuild Konoha, reform its systems, and modernize its infrastructure.
With Hashirama around, they could save so much money and effort.
Uzumaki Mito: "…"
Uchiha Naori: "…"
"So, you're planning to resurrect the First and Second Hokage just to use them as laborers, working day and night for you?" Mito asked, laughing. "You're really something else, kid!"
"Well, Hashirama, sure. He's easygoing and kind-hearted. Once you're Hokage, he wouldn't mind helping out since you wouldn't harm Konoha."
"But Tobirama? That's a whole different story. If you revive him, forget about him helping you. You'll be lucky if he doesn't cause trouble!"
"Are you sure you still want to go through with it?"
Mito wasn't joking. Tobirama's distrust and hostility toward the Uchiha were well-documented. He'd definitely stir up problems if given the chance.
"Why not?" Kaito shrugged, completely unfazed. "With my current strength, I don't need to fear the Second Hokage. Beating him wouldn't even be hard."
"Besides, you, my mother, and the First Hokage would be around. You'd all make sure he doesn't cause any trouble, right?"
"If he's not completely stubborn and shortsighted, he'll understand that I'm the best candidate for Hokage at that time."
Sighing, Kaito shook his head. "Honestly, I don't even want to be Hokage if I can help it. It's too much responsibility and too many tasks."
"I'd rather spend my days happily training and enjoying life without burdens!"
"But to reform Konoha quickly, unite the ninja world, and contract more allies from the Pirate World, I have to take that position."
"Still, once things settle down, I plan to strip most administrative duties away from the Hokage's role. I'll establish a dedicated governance department to handle all that boring paperwork."
"Konoha's political structure needs a complete overhaul. The way it is now is a total mess."
"A village with barely a million people, and the Hokage has to deal with everything? Even trivial matters like petty thefts or disputes? It's ridiculous."
"If that doesn't change, then even if I had a thousand shadow clones handling tasks daily, I'd still be overwhelmed after uniting the ninja world."
Just think about Naruto in the original timeline—after becoming Hokage, he was worked to the bone.
He couldn't even spend time with his family, let alone train. It was completely backward.
"Well…" Mito and Naori exchanged glances, nodding in agreement.
Mito added thoughtfully, "But the reason it's like this is because the Hokage refuses to delegate power. They want complete control."
"Tobirama was like this, and so was Hiruzen."
"Not everyone is like you, willing to give up some of their authority."
