Alex is talking face to face with the old chief, Roubaul inside a building that's shaped like a cat head. Cana is outside with Meteor, Wendy, and Carla because Alex needs a private talk with the old man.
"Alright, I will get to the point, Chief Roubaul. But please listen to me first and don't get into conclusions before hearing the whole thing. Can we agree to this?" Alex is very serious now, making Roubaul look serious too as he nods.
"First of all, I know your real identity, but I don't mean any harm to you or those 2 kids, so you don't need to be this wary."
What Alex says really surprised Roubaul that the old man reflexively jumps back and prepares to fight.
"I told you I don't mean any harm, so please calm down."
"What do you mean by you know my real identity?"
"The Nirvit tribe created a magic item called Nirvana hundreds of years ago. Many people forget about it, but some still know about it. If those who know about Nirvit and Nirvana see this place, they would think that you and everyone here are the descendants of Nirvit Tribe. While in reality, you are someone from that Nirvit Tribe itself. You were the one who created Nirvana hundreds of years ago. In this whole village, the only living creatures are the little girl and the little cat. You are a lingering spirit, or maybe I can say, a ghost, and the other villagers are Illusions made by your magic."
Roubaul is very surprised that he can't even say or do anything. He is stunned. He doesn't know how Alex can know all of this. Knowing about Nirvits and Nirvana is one thing, but knowing about the illusory villagers is different.
"H-how...."
"You might not believe the reason why I know all those things despite never talking to you before. It will be easier to show you than telling you with words."
Alex extends his right hand forward and asks Roubaul to touch it. The old man is sceptical, but he still touches Alex's palm.
Suddenly, Roubaul finds himself inside a very dark place. Alex is sitting in front of him like when they were in the Cat-head building. Nothing seems unusual here until 4 gigantic figures appear around them.
Roubaul's eyes widen when he sees Shukaku, Matatabi, Isobu, and Son Goku sitting around them. He never saw these creatures before, but he can tell that they are very powerful, probably as powerful as Dragons.
"These guys are creatures from another world. I myself am someone from another world, most likely."
"M-most likely? You aren't sure that you are from another world?"
"Well, that's because I was born here, but some years ago I gained memories and knowledge that weren't from this world. I gained knowledge about some future events that can happen here, events that happen in these guys' world, and some knowledge from a modern world called Earth. But I am not sure whether it was my own memory or just some knowledge being transferred to me. If it was mine, then that means I died in that world and reborn here. If it's not, then a powerful being must've sent those memories to me. Either way, what happened to me was most likely done by a very powerful being, maybe a God. Anyway, I have done some research and the things I saw in those memories are true. That includes your secret and Nirvana."
Roubaul is still having a hard time believing what Alex says. But the Tailed Beasts' existence makes him start to believe that it's true. After all, if these beasts are really from this world, then they would have been known in history, so they can only come from a different world.
"Hey, Alex, is that old man okay? His brain seems to stop working." Son Goku asks because Roubaul suddenly freezes.
"Just let him think for a while. This must be too shocking for his old brain. I remember Bunpuku also often lagged like this when thinking hard. Human brains must be getting slower as they get older." Shukaku smirks.
As Shukaku says, a while later, Roubaul finally returns. Seems like he finally digests everything that Alex told him.
"Alright, let's say everything you say is true. But what's the reason you tell this to me? This is a very important thing and I'm sure you won't say it just to anyone."
"You're right. I actually never told anyone else before, not even my Guild Master and my teachers. The reason I told you this secret is because I need your help. I need access to Nirvana and I can only ask you about it."
Roubaul is surprised again and now he becomes very wary.
"Why do you need access to Nirvana."
Alex doesn't answer immediately. He raises his right hand a little and then 5 big floating orbs appear above them.
"Those 4 aren't the only Giant Beasts in my body. There are still 5 more of them, but they are sealed inside these orbs. All of them are my friends and I want to free them. But to do that, I need a lot of magic power. If my memories are right, then Nirvana should have a massive amount of magic power stored inside it. I want to absorb all the magic power in Nirvana to break these seals. Don't worry, I don't plan on activating and using Nirvana. Instead, what I'll do will destroy it and I know that's what you want."
Roubaul is silent after hearing that and Alex doesn't say anything too.
"Can I believe you?" The old man looks at Alex with a very serious expression.
"You sure can. If you need me to do something so you can believe me, then I'll do it."
Roubaul stares at Alex for quite a long time before sighing.
"You youngsters are very full of surprises, huh? This world is also full of surprises. Let me ask you one last thing to confirm that you really know a lot of things. Do you know who the blue-haired little girl is and how she came here?"
"Wendy Marvell, a Sky Dragon Slayer sent from the past through the Eclipse Gate. Arrived here on 7 July X777. She came with other young Dragon Slayers but were separated and scattered. A young boy with blue hair named Jellal found her and saved her. But he left her here under your care because he has a very important and dangerous job to do. You took her and made a fake Guild filled with illusory people for her because Jellal promised to take her to a Magic Guild. Sometime later, she found an egg and instead of a bird, a cat was born from it. She named her Carla. I actually know more things about Carla and Jellal too, do you want to hear them? I'm sure you will be even more surprised."
Roubaul is speechless by how accurately Alex tells everything that happened even though he only said the summary. Now Roubaul can only believe that everything that Alex says is true.
"N-no need. I don't need to know everything about them..... Uh, but what kind of cat is Carla?" The old man seems to be very curious about Carla's species.
"She's from a race called Exceed. A magical creature that as you know, shaped like a cat and possesses magic. I can assure you that it isn't a dangerous race, so you don't need to worry."
Roubaul sighs in relief. "Alright, I can tell that you are honest and everything you say is true. I might not have any proof, but my hundreds of years of experience is enough of a proof to me. If you really can destroy Nirvana, then I will be very grateful to you. So I will tell you about Nirvana's location and the locations of the lacrima crystals inside it. But before that, I want to make a deal with you, some conditions for me to give you the information. If you can't accept my conditions, then I can't tell you anything."
Alex nods and Roubaul starts to state his conditions. What Roubaul says are mostly what Alex has expected and even if Roubaul doesn't make them as conditions, Alex will still do them.
"So, do you accept?"
"Of course. I won't even say those are things that need to be asked. As I said, I know most things that will happen in this world and I tried to change many of them. Such actions surely have consequences and I am responsible for all of them. That includes what will happen after I destroy Nirvana. So even if you don't ask me about it, I will still do it. After all, there's no way I will abandon 2 little girls after basically destroying their home."
Roubaul's conditions are basically to protect and take care of Wendy and Carla after Nirvana is destroyed because with it being destroyed, Roubaul's spirit will disappear as it loses its purpose of staying in this world.
Wendy and Carla will be the only worries he has left behind. They are still very young and weak, so they still need others to care for them and protect them. That's why he asks Alex to do it and he won't help Alex if Alex disagrees.
Well, helping Wendy and Carla is also one of Alex's purposes, so he obviously accepts. Now he has finished the deal with Roubaul and the old man tells him everything he needs to know about Nirvana. It's finally time to destroy that massive magic item.
