Over the next year and a half, he caught up on this world, of the wars fought, the customs obliged and the houses known. For a few hours, the maester taught him -and whomever else showed up- personally and for another few hours, he let them read, whilst he taught the illiterate how to write and read in another corner of the library. Thanks to his sharingan, he learned particularly fast using the books, though the finer details still needed to be polished by the maester's teaching. Harry had to pretend to read at the same pace as the others. He didn't trust the maester to keep his mouth shut, nor did he with the other patrons, townspeople, children of merchants or knights, who could afford to spare the coppers for the valuable lessons. After his lessons, he would train, to keep his mind and body sharp, he had to hold back severely when sparring with the guards. He was stronger, faster, more durable. At night, he would return to the inn, telling Marge about the elemental nations and of the magic that existed there. He even showed her a few Justus in the evening, transformation and clone jutus only, they were discreet.
He would reveal his true power at the war with the Greyjoy's. Their rebellion had just started a week ago and Algood had called for his swords and Harry offered to come with.
"Hahaha, are you thirsting for blood as you have thirsted for those damned books?" The lord Algood laughed heartily when he had voiced his desire to fight, "sure, you can come along. You are young, probably haven't even shed your first true blood, have you?"
Harry kept quiet, how wrong he was. A shinobi is crafted to be a weapon and a weapon longed to be used. He had seen much bloodshed and had grown dull to the idea of killing, for once they are dead, they all are the same, meat. Civilians? Bandits? Other shinobi? All the same.
The lord and his army began marching a week later. They met up with Tywin Lannister's forces, as they were battling a group of ironborn. Lord Algood commanded his forces to aid lord tywins forces. Harry was amongst the first to arrive at the battlefield. He unsheathed a few of his kunai and threw them at the enemy. They landed straight in 5 ironborn's throats. An ironborn with an ax came running towards him. He swung wildely, relying on strength as opposed to skill. Harry struck him with a quick strike to his wrist, causing him to drop his ax.
His neck was wide open, so he slit his throat with his kunai. Turning around, he found that the ironborn were retreating. Not on his watch… he ran towards the ships and weaved a few handsigns, "fire release, flame bullet!"
He spat out a few bullets of fire, each igniting a different ship.
"Sorcery!" One of the raiders called out, as he saw his only escape burning down.
Harry used the body flicker jutsu to get to them quick. He knocked them out and presented their unconscious bodies to Tywin Lannister.
The man looked shocked for but a millisecond, before quickly masking his thoughts. He looked at the unconscious raiders and nodded, "Take them away", commanded he to his guards, "We will question them later. You, sorcerer, come with me"
Harry followed the old lion back to his tent. On the way there, he was stared at and people talked in hushed whispers about him, he couldn't quite catch what they were saying but he saw the awe and fear in their eyes, equal parts of both.
"Where do you hail from?", the old lion asked, studying his face. He looked neither like a westerosi man nor one from Essos or the summer islands. His hair was pitch black, falling down to his shoulders, wild but well cared for. He wore armor unlike any he had seen before, it had metal plates, yet it looked nothing like platemail and his eyes were as black as his hair. His accent was foreign too, not like anything Tywin had heard before.
"I hail from a continent beyond the sunset sea", he told him.
"And your magic… how do you wield it? What did you need to sacrifice to get the power of speed and flame?"
Sacrifice? It made sense when you looked at the world he now was in. Sacrifices held power here but he was not from here, he hailed from Konoha, not Essos, "Nothing my lord, I was born with it"
"And this kingdom across the sunset sea… are there others like you there?"
"Yes, we sailed due east but the sea is treacherous, our ships were destroyed and I was the only survivor, a miracle really, that I even made it here, to this Westeros. A year and a half ago, I found myself in the westerlands. I studied under maester Ellio to learn about this strange land's customs. I fear this was the last expedition that my people will lead. Many have tried to reach the eastern kingships but none have ever returned. This was the last attempt at finding what was on this side of the world. Unless I somehow return but that would be a fool's plan, no ship survives the sunset sea, not for long", Harry looked into the distance, thinking about his life in Konoha, the good and the bad, his first skill, his teammates and his mother, driven to insanity, "It is better like this. We war amongst ourselves enough, we don't need another continent to war with"
"I see… and you say you were born with this power? Can your children also use your gifts?"
"If I were to bed with a woman of my people, yes, if I were to bed someone without chakra… I could not say. It is possible, yes, but not guaranteed, it is a horizon we haven't crossed before", it was a mystery, truly but one that would one day be solved, once he had risen the ranks and wed a wife. Their children would either inherit chakra or they would not, they would know once that happened.
"And your magic… what can you do with it?" the old lion's eyes shone with greed. He wanted this power for himself, Harry knew, as good as he was at masking it, he wasn't perfect and as a shinobi, he knew how to read someone, down to the micro-movements in their face structure. It was something his jonin sensei had taught him.
"Many things, I can create, water, fire and wind, I can build castles in days and break them down in hours and much, much more", he dared not tell him everything he could do. As much as Tywin greeded for his powers, he was ruthless and -if he knew the full extend of his Jutsu- would most likely have him killed for being too dangerous.
"Build castles in days? Show me… what's your name?"
"Harry"
"Well, then, show me, Harry, build me a house", he gestured to an empty space out of his tent.
Harry nodded, walking out and weaving hand signs. Once he was done, a wall of stone appeared, then another and another, until he had a stone room with a stone door. He could create neither metal nor wood, so stone had to do.
"Fascinating… I will have to test it's durability, you there, strike this wall with your warhammer", Tywin commanded a nearby knight, who eagerly swung at the wall. The stone chipped but it didn't break a hole in it. The structure was much more durable than normal stone walls, for it was made of one giant chunk of stone instead of many small ones. In the end, Tywin decided that Harry would march with Tywin to meet the kings forces on the sea. It took two months for Robert and his forces to come past where Tywin and his men defended the coastlines from the raiders. There were plenty of attempted raids before he arrived and Harry had earned himself quite the reputation. He had killed more ironborn raiders than any other single man in the army stationed there. They called him the shadow, for he was silent in his kills and ridiculously fast. The warriors were murmuring that he was faster than his own shadow, striking a killing blow before his shadow even lifted a finger. Robert was a huge man, muscular, carrying a giant warhammer and wearing a suit of armor decorated in his house's colors, black and gold.
"Tywin, you bastard, couldn't you have left a few of those cunts for me to kill?", Robert bellowed, "the few we did find said that you killed almost half of their raiders single handedly, they call you the squid bane! Hahahaha, guess you Lannister cunts are worth your reputation after all. I had my doubts"
Tywin gritted his teeth, clearly ticked off by the insults, though only Harry could see it, on the outside he was calm and collected but his muscles betrayed him, "I wasn't the only one killing them", he finally sat after a few seconds of silence, "my men were busy, one in particular you might find interesting, he killed more than 100 ironborn single handedly"
"Who is it? Strongboar?"
"No, someone who claims to come from beyond the sunset sea, a practitioner of powerful magic", Tywin motioned to Harry, who stepped forward, kneeling before the king, "your highness, it is an honor to meet you"
"Yeah, yeah, stand up boy. I don't find it often that the old cunt of a lion boasts, not as openly as he did now… a sorcerer you are, eh? But are you a fighter too? You wear not platemail but a strange other armor, you have a sword by your side, do you know how to wield it?" Robert studied his face, "you are young, barely a man. How did you survive the treacherous journey"
"Sheer luck, your grace. We were a hundred men strong when we left for the eastern kingships and now, only I remain and yes, your grace, I can fight"
"Let's see how good you truly are. Brune, come here, this fledgling wants to prove himself", The king called out and a man dressed in leather armor came forth, carrying a longsword.
The army parted to allow the two men to fight. Harry didn't draw his sword, instead opting for a kunai.
"You think you can beat me with but a knife? You wound my pride but it is your funeral, not mine, so, let's do this", Lord Brune and Harry circled each other, waiting for the other to move. Harry activated his sharingan and the world seemed to slow down. He could see that he was about to lunge before he ever did and sidestepped him, cutting a shallow cut at his arm. They danced more, the knight trying to land large and heavy strikes, whilst Harry gave him small cuts all over his body. His kunai was infused with chakra, so it cut through the leather easily. When he was done playing, he body flickered towards him, bound his arms behind his back, forcing him to drop his sword and placed his kunai against his throat, "Do you yield?"
"I yield, I yield!"
"Hahahaha, he destroyed you with but a knife. He never even had to draw his sword, hahahaha, you are indeed a warrior, I can respect a warrior. I like you, what say you come with me, as we destroy these ironborn cunts?", Robert laughed heartily. He truly loved war. If it was his will, there would be a rebellion every few years. Harry's eyes shone with glee. This was his perfect opportunity.
"Yes, your grace, I would be honored", he nodded, looking up into the blue eyes of the usurper. Harry held no love for Robert, he was a drunk who left all his duties to his hands, whoring himself towards an early grave but he was an easy king to please. Harry wanted to be a lord, though a landed knight would also be fine, in any case, he wanted land, to play in the game of thrones. He would ally himself with the Targaryen's later on but for now, he had to play the loyal subject.
