Lyra is skeptical but intrigued, so she takes the job and sets her ship, The Aether Phoenix, toward the unknown.
Chapter 2: Ghosts of Eris Station
When Lyra arrives at the station, she finds it eerily abandoned with no signs of life. The signal continues to emanate from a locked chamber deep within the station. In her investigation, she comes across a hostile drone network, barely escaping unscathed. She takes an artifact, an ancient-looking device, which seems connected to the signal. However, the artifact sparks strange visions of Earth's distant past.

Back to her ship, Lyra examines the artifact with SOLA to unlock more meaning. They find that this object uses a language that mirrors, oddly, an extinct human dialect. Doctor Kael reveals that this language actually predates humanity's record book so to say, and that it does point to contact with another advanced alien civilization. What is haunting Lyra more so are past memories as she realizes her signal may be connected with a forgotten part of her history.

Lyra decides to destroy the weapon but devises a plan to limit the fallout. With the help of SOLA and her crew, she uses the Sentinel's guidance to sabotage the ancient power core. The station collapses as Lyra and her crew barely escape, but not before witnessing a profound vision of humanity's potential for unity and destruction.
Chapter 10: Echoes Beyond
Lyra returns to the Interstellar Alliance, revealing what Dr. Kael and his faction planned to do. She saves the present but leaves herself with plenty of questions regarding the alien race and how it interacts with her with this device. As the galaxy recovers from the effects of the artifacts, Lyra continues her quest for the truth because the secrets of the stars are the secrets to its past and future.
