Chereads / Villain Reborn: Dominate the Apocalypse / Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Shocking Changes in System

Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Shocking Changes in System

Looking at the system pannel, the previous name and strength agility constitution were the same but there were a few changes. The numbers and attributes looked familiar, yet there were glaring differences that made him blink twice to ensure he wasn't hallucinating.

The previously pristine, blue-colored panel had turned dark, exuding an aura of cold authority. Its new sleek design gave off a domineering vibe that made Kale's lips curl into a satisfied smirk.

"So, the system decided to match my vibe, huh?" he muttered, his eyes scanning the updated details:

Name : Kale Voss Race: Human

Age : 18 years children: none

Status : Healthy

Talent: omniscient eyes

 Photographic memory

Strength: 10 Agility: 10

Int: 30 Constitution: 10

Luck: Black Fate: villain

Weapons: none

Combat strength: 1.5 star

Unused attribute points: 10

Villain points: 0

System store: Closed

Pets: none

Storage: A lucky card

Looking at this change Kale couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

"Children? What kind of system adds that as a category?"

He shook his head, mumbling under his breath,

"Good to know I'm not paying alimony in this life."

The first change was that the original blue panel which gave a clean and pure feeling turned dark as night giving a cold and domineering feeling.

Kale kept observing the panel he noticed that in the talent section where the words Omniscient Eye glowed faintly. Curious, he focused on it, and suddenly a description popped up:

Omniscient Eye: Can see through everything.

Kale's mind raced as he read it. His first thought was simple and, admittedly, a little perverted.

"X-ray vision?"

His excitement spiked as his gaze shifted to the wall separating him from his beautiful neighbor, Iris.

He squinted at the wall, focusing hard. But no matter how much effort he put in, he couldn't see through it. Disappointment was livid in his eyes.

"Ahem... Ahem…" Kale coughed awkwardly, feeling a little embarrassed by his assumption.

"Looks like this isn't X-ray vision after all."

But Before he could lament his shattered expectations, another translucent window popped up in front of him.

Name: Wall

Status: Miscellaneous

Durability: 18

Info: An old but sturdy wall. You can't break it with your bare hands.

Kale blinked. "Wait, I can analyze objects?" His curiosity reignited as he turned his gaze toward a cockroach scuttling across the floor.

"This … can it let me see attributes of other thingsToto verify his guess Kale focuses his sigt on a cockroach.

Name : cockroach

Race: insect

Agility :15

Status : healthy

Threat level : 0

Info : normal cockroach

"Fifteen agility? Damn, that explains why they're so hard to catch,"

Kale muttered, a mixture of amusement and disgust curling his lips.

"Still a zero threat level, it seems like I can even analyze threats now"

To test his theory further, Kale ran to the window and focused on a random passerby on the street.

Name : Ron brown

Race: Human

Age: 24

Talent: E level - hearing (unawakened)

Strength: 10 Agility: 7

Int: 8 Constitution: 9

Luck: white v Fate: dead in first cataclysm

Combat power: 1 star

Kale's eyes widened.

"This talent can even show someone's fate? That's... terrifyingly useful."

Now he was ecstatic because even in the future when there were many talents Kale never heard of any talent that let you see someone else property panel although there was a scroll for identification it was not useful for humans.

If the other party is unwilling to say you can't know his /her information

He stared at Ron's fate, his expression indifferent.

"Dead in the first Cataclysm, huh? Well, sorry, buddy, but you're on your own. Not like you'd believe me if I told you, anyway."

He straightened up, his gaze hardening. "And besides, I'm not the old Kale anymore. If you're useful to me, you live. If not... well, that's up to your fate."

Looking out the window, he couldn't help but smile.

"Well, the new me is perfectly fine with that. The old me might've tried to save Ron. The new me? Nah. He's a dead man walking."

Soon his attention shifted back to the panel, specifically to his second talent:

Photographic Memory: Once you see something, you will always remember it.

"Seems straightforward," Kale muttered, though he didn't dismiss it. His intelligence stat had jumped from 15 to 30, and he could already feel the difference. His thoughts were sharper, more focused. This is more than just a memory boost. This talent is a game-changer.

Finally, Kale's gaze landed on the most baffling section:

 Luck: Black

 Fate: Villain

"Luck is black, and fate says I'm a villain," he mused, running a hand through his hair.

"Guess I have no way out." He chuckled darkly, his tone laced with irony.

"But what kind of system lets me see other people's fates?"

Filled with curiosity Kale's gaze shifted lower on the system panel, and what he saw piqued his interest. The sections labeled Weapons, Unused Attribute Points, Villain Points, Store, and Storage caught his attention.

Most of it seemed straightforward, but one thing immediately stood out—the System Store. Though currently locked, Kale's mind buzzed with possibilities.

"In this apocalyptic world, the System Store must hold countless resources," Kale muttered, his voice tinged with anticipation.

Memories of his past life surged forth—scenes of desperate survivors fighting over scraps of food and drops of water. Even with a powerful system, he knew one thing for sure:

"supplies would always be a critical lifeline."

His thoughts then turned to Storage, and when he checked its dimensions, his jaw tightened in satisfaction.

"1,000 square feet…" he murmured, tapping his chin.

"That's more than enough to stockpile weapons, food, and other essentials." A small smirk tugged at his lips.

"Looks like I won't be going hungry—or unarmed—this time around."

Then there was the curious Villain Points section. Unlike the others, it did not explain. Kale frowned slightly, but the corners of his mouth soon lifted.

"No details yet? That's fine. If I've learned anything from those years, it's that the best rewards come with a bit of effort. I'll figure it out soon enough."

Finally, his attention turned to the item in

Storage: a single Lucky Card.

Lucky Card: Use to be extraordinarily lucky for an entire day.

At first glance, it seemed simple. But Kale's eyes gleamed with understanding as he contemplated its true potential.

"Luck, huh?" he mused, turning the card over in his hands as if weighing its power.

"Most people think of luck as random and uncontrollable. But the system can turn that into a weapon."

He leaned back against the wall, his smirk widening into a grin.

"One day of absolute luck might not sound like much to anyone else. But for me? A returnee who knows exactly when and where to strike?" His fingers tapped the card with deliberate intent.

 "This is a game-changer."

Kale pocketed the card carefully, his mind already whirring with plans. His newfound abilities, combined with his knowledge of the future, gave him an edge no one else had.

The apocalypse would come. The chaos would begin. And when it did, Kale Voss would not just survive—he would thrive.

Kale stretched, feeling a sense of exhilaration. The apocalypse would come. The world would soon descend into chaos, and this time, when it did, he wouldn't be caught off guard. With his new talents and his darker perspective, he'd ensure one thing:

"Kale Voss would not just survive—he would dominate."
