The next morning, Trevor felt much better than he had the day before. After making himself a cup of coffee, he noticed a bowl in the sink and pondered whether he had been in the kitchen yesterday. However, he had a dream last night in which a woman was dipping a towel in a bowl, squeezing it, and then placing it on his head.and the woman appears to be the same as the one from the restaurant the evening before. What a weird dream to have. It was beyond his comprehension why heaven would choose to entertain him in his dream with a woman he hardly knew, as he had never dreamed of a woman before.
He was not going to sell his paintings today because he had an interview and had to go there. Although he is aware that he ought to have stopped attending these interviews, he has never given up. Despite his numerous applications, no company has contacted him to inform him that he was hired following an interview. Since it is a gallery house and he had never given up on his dreams, he wanted to go today. If he could sell two paintings a day for the first time in his life, they might actually hire him for the first time. He kept making excuses to himself for why he had to continue going to these interviews, knowing that one day his efforts would undoubtedly be rewarded with success.
He showered, dressed, and ate breakfast before leaving, thanks to the sales he had the day before. He wanted to hope, but he was afraid that if he hoped too much, he would be disappointed, so he said a simple prayer like Jesus, asking God's will to be done. Despite being late for his interview due to traffic, he took a cab and arrived at the building.
That is one of the things that set New York apart. New York is a city unlike any other, to be honest.
Positively, New York City is very diverse. There is cuisine from every culture you can think of, and you will hear people speaking a variety of languages. With countless entertainment options ranging from Broadway productions to music venues and comedy clubs, it is a city that never sleeps. Not to mention the famous sites like the Empire State Building, Central Park, and the Statue of Liberty. With some of the best universities and businesses in the world, it is also a center for education and employment prospects.
But, on the flip side, New York City can be tough. It is easy to feel overburdened and overwhelmed because of the extremely high cost of living, which is why Trevor and everyone else are trying to make ends meet. Although there is a lot of crime, particularly small-time theft and vandalism, Trevor is used to it because he has spent his entire life in the city. And, let's be real, the noise pollution can be crazy, especially if you're not used to it.
In spite of everything, New York City continues to be a vibrant and opportunity-rich city. The city is constantly changing, with new eateries, pubs, and cultural attractions opening up all the time.
It is difficult to be a New Yorker, but he was raised there to ignore its flaws anyhow. As for the opportunities, they have always existed for him, but his misfortune over the years has kept him from seizing them. But as he sat in the hallway responding to every question the panel of interviewers threw at him, he came to the realization that if those opportunities are not available to him, it is time to make one for himself.
The interview ended right away, and the panel of interviewers asked him to leave. They said they would email him if he was hired, so he decided to take a walk around to find a good spot to store his painting rather than carrying it around. Surprisingly, every location appears to be great because they are all crowded. Very typical of the city. He decided to head home because it was getting dark, and after walking a short distance before he could call a cab, he noticed that the woman from the restaurant appeared disoriented amidst the street's throng of pedestrians. He felt the need to assist her once more right away; it was an instinct that he had no control over, perhaps out of sympathy, but all he wanted was to help this lost woman. He told the cab driver to leave and then walked down the road to help the woman, who looked dirtier than ever and was still wearing the cloth from the previous time. Her face showed relief as she saw him approaching. He wonder if she had recognized him.
"Are you lost? When he asked, she simply looked at him.He made emphasis with his hands when he asked her again, unsure if she understood English, but she was still unable to speak and continued to stare at him.
So he went to a food truck and got her some food, which she nodded gratefully and began eating. He turned to leave after he was certain he had assisted her, but she followed him. He did not realize it until he called a cab and the driver asked if it was him and the woman next to him. In that moment, he turned to see her. He was shocked and attempted to persuade the woman to leave, but she remained stubbornly staring at him. Having run out of options, he let her in and they headed for his house. This was dangerous, he knew; what if she was a lure for the local criminals? There is nothing to steal from him because he either has gold or silver. However, if she is a swindler, she might reconsider after seeing how his apartment looks. He glanced over at the unclean woman next to him. God she's stunning despite the bruises on her face and at the corner of her lower lip. Her innocence touched his heart. He questions why she would dress in this way and consent to being used as a lure by criminals. But he still felt sympathy for her despite the fact that she might be one of the bad girls in town.
He took her in after paying the cab driver when they arrived at his apartment.
