Chapter 8 - Training

Hei Jin Hua could be seen on purple mountain nearby the Heavenly Cherry Blossom sect.

He was out of breath, panting the sweat from his forehead trickled down his neck and dropped onto the purple colored dirt.

"Elder Zhen Ji, I can't go on!"His exhausted state could be seen by his shaking legs, Elder Zhen Ji was in charge of Hei Jin Hua for the time bringing as well as overseeing his training.

"Young master this training is important foe your future growth, the time and effort you exert now will show great benefits in the future", Elder Zhen Ji with the role as mentor enlightened Hei Jin Hua.

Elder Zhen Ji, I'm very grateful for your endurance training. "Hei Jin Hua could barely speak he was so tired.

"How about we end here today?"Elder Zhen Ji could see the exhausted state and at least had some sympathy.

"Yes please elder", this is the furthest he had gone yet so he was proud of himself for doing better, in his past life he had bearly moved for years he was stuck in a hospital bed so this was thrilling and harder than he expected.

They turned around together and began to walk down purple mountain there black and pink robes fluttering in the wind with the Heavenly Cherry Blossom sect in the distance.

Hei Jin Hua's eyes glanced around the mountains vegetation. Although it was quite dry, it had a beautiful purple color glistening in the sunlight.

They continued walking through the nimble mountain path until they reached the foot of the mountain, there was a river that had silver streaks inside of it, this was water qi and wasn't all that was unique there where also strange fish.

These fish were blue and green in color with a silver belly. These fish are called Spotted Qi fish. These fish are mostly used for water path qi cultivation, and they are also quite good eating. Many regular people fish here for fun because the fish are quite big, nearly 40cm long.

Previously the sect leader used tons of nightshade wolf materials to advance, these materials are dark path materials so when the sect leader advanced his qi core changed to a dark qi core changing to a dark purple color.

Many advantages came from this as dark path martial arts need less qi for activation and are easier to learn and have a stronger effect.

Hei Jin Hua and Elder Zhen Ji crossed the river it wasn't very deep bearly knee deep, then they continued walking towards the sect.

After walking past the river, they soon reached the district 3 gate, which they opened and walked into district 3.

It had gotten late, and the sun was already beginning to set, so the farms were quite barren, all the farmers had left to go to sleep.

There were farms of various grasses and grains that were unique to this world that Hei Jin Hua could recognize from his body's memories.

Elder Zhen Ji did not pay much attention to the crops and continued on there walking to the district 2 gate in the distance.

Once they had reached it, it was quite large with 2 qi master guards that bowed to the 2 and opened the gate for them.

This district was still busy even though it was nearly night time the where inns bustling with life and the sent of the delicious food from the various dinners could be smelled.

By now, the moon had started to rise with its white light shining onto the ground. The light led them to the final gate, where there were also 2 guards.

They wore the signature color of their sect black and pink. After seeing Hei Jin Hua and Elder Zhen Ji approaching, they quickly opened the gate for them.

They both walked through the gate, thanked those guards, and continued walking towards the there rooms that were near the sect hall.

They pasted the koi pond that reflected the moons' light, created a beautiful scene, and passed the training rooms.

They soon reach the sect hall and split up to go their separate rooms while walking to his room Hei Jin Hua past the library, which was where the martial art books are stored.

To get access to any of these books, one needs to do commissions to earn contribution points to spend on martial arts books, cultivation materials, and even alchemical pills.

He walked a bit before finally reaching his room. It had been cleaned by servants, so all the clothes were fresh, and before he knew it, he flopped onto his bed in exhaustion.

"Wow, the awakening ceremony is really coming quickly", he was nervous and excited about it.

It will be his fate and how he will cultivate in the future as well as his cultivation limit.

He then slowly closed his eyes and drifted to sleep.

...

Sect Leader Hei Jin Ren was sitting in one of the many training rooms alone in great concentration. The problem at hand was not the mountain expedition but was his qi core. It was now a dark path.

He did not currently know any Dark type martial arts, and this is a problem because his previously used light path martial arts could not be used.

The Sect leader paid a price for his realm advancement, and it was the loss of his uses of his light path martial arts as well as his hybrid qi core of vitality path and light path.

Hybrid qi cores are a mixture of 2 qi paths that complement each other well, and vitality and light are a great example.

The sect leader had many martial arts in theses paths, one example of vitality is the Cherry Blossom Sword Style and one light path being Light arrow, which was used to kill the Nightshade Wolf King.

Although the sect leader had lost all of his roots in these 2 paths, his gain s heavily outweighed the losses he had ascended to realm 3!

His qi core capacity of qi increased as well as its potency and production, as well as it being naturally easier to learn Dark path martial arts.

The sect leader then reaches for one of the 4 martial arts books on the floor, he opened the book revealing descriptions of dark path martial art known as Night shade blade, its was created by an elder of the sect decades ago and is now one of the foundations of the sect.

It adds a uses dark path qi to add a black aura around the blade that when slashing an opponent it creates a wound that doesn't naturally heal and can bleed for ever leaving visible black aura unless a healing technique is used on the opponent that has been slashed.

The bases of martial arts run deep throughout history. They are developed by qi masters to reach the top of the cultivation world and crush all their enemies.

Some of these martial arts are not used for fighting and are developed for practical uses for specific qi masters such as healing and alchemy.

Healing is a must-have at least at a low level, but some specialize in this type of martial arts, giving them great reputation in respective clans.

Alchemy is a unique art that is also mostly cultivated at least the lowest level because it's over all practicality is great, most qi masters use alchemy to create incenses and pills some being higher quality some being low, the rate of success and quality of the product is solely dependent of overall experience and mastery of this art.

Some alchemists can produce life extension pills and even some immortal materials, but to attain these benefits, one needs to have many lifetimes worth of experience in this art.

The sect leader disregarded dark path martial arts for these functions, so they did not concern him. The ones he needed were attack, defense, and movement.

He was looking over the 4 dark path martial arts books provided by the library. He had specifically chosen these arts to learn over the time remaining before the Snowy Mountain expedition.

The first was the Nightshade blade it is realm 2 and is an evolved version of the dark blade.

The second was also an attacking type dark path martial art called Dark Nebular it is realm 3 and is very unique. It uses properties of space path, which amplifies the strength and perplexity of the technique.

Itself primary use is to create suction and repulsion. It can also be used to increase the gravity upon a person, weakening them significantly.

The other two are defense and movement type martial arts. The sect leader opened the second book revealing the movement type martial art called Shadowless.

Shadowless is based after the Nightshade wolf's unique trait of becoming a shadow at will, the overall martial uses dark qi to become a sort of shadow that allows one to dash quickly, it's drawback is that it requires a constant stream of qi to activate but this drawback has little effect on the sect leader because this martial art is realm 2 and with his realm 3 qi it's constant activation costs almost nothing.

The final one is the defensive type martial art called Dark Veil, this was crucial it was by far the most useful, it has amazing defensive properties allowing one to completely reflect an attack realm 3 without taking any damage, but although it is strong it's one weakness is light any light path type martial art could easily bypass this defensive technique.

These martial arts were the best for the sect leaders' situation, and his limited time only allowed him to choose these 4.

And now the grueling stage of learning these martial arts had to commence immediately, giving him as much time as he could to temper them into his body.
