Chapter 3: A New Path and Unseen Forces
Rei stepped out of Kazekage Rasa's office, the weight of the meeting still settling in his mind. The Kazekage had been wary but intrigued by his intentions. Reforming the Hidden Sand Village wasn't a small task, especially given its reputation and the challenges it faced. But Rei had a vision, one that involved not just medical improvements, but economic and defensive changes that could transform the village from the inside out.
As he walked down the hallway with Dr. Akemi at his side, he reflected on the conversation. Rasa's approval had been conditional, but it was a start. Now, Rei needed to begin his reforms, and for that, he needed a plan—and resources.
"We have a lot to do," Rei muttered as they exited the building. "But it starts with healthcare. The people are suffering, Akemi. Once we start there, we can slowly expand our reach to other areas."
Akemi nodded, her glasses gleaming in the sunlight. "You're right. If we can make real changes in the healthcare system, it'll lay the foundation for everything else. And I'm with you on this."
Rei smiled at her, appreciating her support. As they made their way through the village, he found himself thinking about the tools at his disposal. The system had been a godsend, though he knew he had to tread carefully with its features. The more he used it, the more it seemed to offer him, but it came at a cost—system points.
Later, as they stopped in a quiet corner of the village, Rei opened the system interface. The blue holographic display appeared before him, flickering slightly as the robotic voice reverberated in his mind.
System Online. Welcome, Host Rei.
Rei's finger hovered over the screen. He had used a few points earlier, but now he needed to take a closer look at what was available to him. His current task—reforming the village—was a long-term goal, and he would need all the help he could get.
The interface presented a familiar set of options:
System Features:
Shop
Purchase medical supplies, tools, and enhancements.
Character Summon
Summon characters from various worlds based on available points.
World Travel
Travel to different worlds, unlocking new realms based on system points.
Rei's finger moved to the Character Summon tab first. He had already summoned Dumbledore as a free summon in Chapter 1, but now he wanted to see what other characters were available. Rei hadn't realized it before, but his free summon hadn't consumed any points. With 50 system points remaining, he was curious to see what kind of characters he could summon now.

Rei scrolled through the list. He didn't need another high-level summon just yet—Dumbledore was already a powerful ally, and that would suffice for the time being. Still, there were many intriguing options on the list. Dr. John Watson caught his eye. A brilliant doctor with experience in managing difficult cases? That could be useful. He briefly considered summoning Ezio Auditore, the skilled assassin from Assassin's Creed, but realized that wasn't immediately necessary for his goals.
As his finger hovered over the option to summon Dr. John Watson, Rei hesitated. He was only halfway to 100 system points, and with 50 points, the summon was within his reach, but there was a lot more he could do with those points if he was patient.
Instead, he turned his attention to the World Travel tab. The worlds he could access were still limited. He opened the list of available worlds and scanned it carefully.
World Travel (Points Required)Naruto Universe (Current World): 0 pointsStranger Things Universe: 250 pointsGreek Mythology (Ancient Greece): 300 pointsArthurian Legend (Camelot): 350 pointsResident Evil Universe: 400 pointsWasteland (Fallout Universe): 450 pointsElder Scrolls Universe: 500 pointsThe Walking Dead Universe: 500 pointsCyberpunk 2077 Universe: 500 points
Rei noted that the higher-tier worlds were locked for the moment, requiring significant progression before they could be accessed. He didn't have enough points for the mid-tier worlds either, and the only option available to him was the Naruto Universe—the world he was already in.
Though Rei had a strong desire to explore other realms, he knew that his immediate focus had to be on improving the Hidden Sand Village. World travel would have to wait.
Rei closed the World Travel screen and leaned back against the wall, taking a deep breath. His current mission to reform the Hidden Sand Village was critical, and it would take all of his attention. As much as he longed to travel to other worlds, the rewards from completing his reforms would yield more system points—and more options for the future.
His eyes fell on the Active Mission tab, which contained his current goal:
Active Mission: Reform the Hidden Sand Village
Objective: Implement reforms to improve the Hidden Sand Village's healthcare system, economic stability, and overall defense.Progress: 20% completePoints Reward: 500 points upon completion
The mission was a significant one, but Rei felt confident. His medical knowledge, combined with his ability to strategize, would carry him far. He had the system points to progress, and he knew that with the right decisions, he could unlock more resources to help with his plans.
As Rei sat there in quiet contemplation, Akemi appeared at his side, her smile steady and reassuring. "What's next, Rei?"
He looked up, a determined gleam in his eyes. "Next, we begin. We'll start by upgrading the healthcare system. It's the foundation. And from there, we'll rebuild this village."
With that, Rei set his plan into motion, determined to turn the Hidden Sand Village into something far greater than it had ever been. The road ahead would be long, but with the system's rewards, his growing list of allies, and his medical genius, he felt more than ready for the challenge ahead.
