She left the raft and went to explore the island.
The island is not big.
It will take only 10 seconds for her to walk from one side to the other touching the water on both sides.

That is right now it cannot detect anything other than she don't know.
That is only things that she already knows can be sensed.
If there is an herb around her and she knows this herb, the radar would tell her.
If she already saw the enemy once it would let her know the enemies position in the detection range.
