CLAIRE'S POV
It didn't take long for me to get settled into my room. Jerry had sent a driver immediately to bring all my belongings from my former apartment to the mansion.
I spent the entire day arranging my things in the room. And when I was done, I decided to explore the mansion.
The mansion was huge. It was bigger than expected. It had every single thing you could imagine.
There was a swimming pool, a gym, a sauna, an indoor cinema, and a tennis court.
The rooms were decorated with expensive furniture and artwork.
It was truly amazing.
But what surprised me the most was the library. It was a massive room, filled with thousands of books.
They were stacked in shelves, on the floor, everywhere.
The smell of old paper filled the air. It was a beautiful sight.
I had never seen so many books before.
I didn't know Mr Leonardo was a reader.
It was unexpected.
As I strolled through the aisles, I came across a picture of Mr Leonardo.
It was taken when he was younger.
He looked so different. His hair was shorter, and his face was rounder.
He was smiling. He looked really happy.
It was hard to believe that the person in the picture was the same person who lived in this mansion.
He seemed like a completely different person. His eyes were softer, and his expression was gentle.
He was wearing a little suit, and his hands were folded behind his back.
He was standing next to an older woman.
She had the same dark eyes as him.
Was that his mother?
She looked really beautiful. I wondered where she was.
Was she dead?
After a while, I got tired of looking at the pictures. So, I headed towards the kitchen.
The kitchen was located on the ground floor. It was huge, with marble counters and stainless steel appliances.
There was a huge table in the middle, and the room was filled with staff.
Some were preparing food, some were chopping vegetables, and others were washing dishes.
Everywhere was buzzing with activity.
When I entered, the staff stopped and looked at me.
I suddenly felt nervous. It was as if they were waiting for me to say something.
"Hi." I said, awkwardly.
They looked at me, but nobody said anything.
"Uh, I'm Claire."
They stared at me.
"I'm the new maid."
Still nothing.
"Uh, anyway, I just wanted to let you know, that I'm here now. So, if you need any help, please let me know."
No one said a word to me. They just turned back and continued their activity.
I felt bad. Why were they so hostile towards me?
Maybe, they were just busy. Maybe, they were trying to be professional.
Yeah. That had to be it. I decided not to take it personally.
Maybe, they were too busy to reply to me.
I sighed and turned around.
As I walked away, I felt someone's eyes on me.
I glanced over my shoulder and saw a young woman staring at me. She was also a maid. She was wearing a blue apron and her hair was tied back in a ponytail.
She was pretty, with big green eyes and red lips.
"Hi. I'm Cora." She said and stretched out her hand. Her voice was high-pitched and sounded like a squeak.
"Hello. I'm Clairr." I replied and shook her hand.
Cora stared at me for a little while and proceeded to speak again.
"I'm sorry that the other servants are being rude to you. They are just jealous of you that's why. Everyone in the mansion is." She said.
"Jealous?" I asked. "Why are they jealous of me? I haven't even been here for a day yet."
Cora laughed.
"Yes. That's true. But you are Mr Leonardo's personal maid. Do you know what that means? You get to see him all the time. You will get to be alone with him. I will kill to have your position. I would do anything to be that close to him." She said with a dreamy look in her eyes.
"Mr Leo is so hot and handsome. Ughh… I dream about him everyday and the other female servants are head over heels in love with him. Have you seen him yet?" She asked me.
"Yes…Uhhh… I actually saw him when I went into his private room." I replied.
Immediately I said those words, it was as if there was a sudden chill in the room.
All the female servants stopped what they were doing and turned to stare at me.
Even the males glanced towards me. Everyone had a shocked expression on their face.
What was happening?
Cora's jaw dropped and she put her hand on her mouth.
"His private room?!!!!" Cora yelled. "You went into Mr Leo's private room. How???"
Her eyes widened and she stared at me with shock.
"Uhhh…It was an accident. I didn't mean to go there. The doors look so similar. So, when I knocked, the door opened and I saw him. He was...he was...naked and he kissed me and...." I didn't even finish my sentence, when I noticed that everyone had surrounded me and started asking me questions.
"He kissed you???!!!! What else happened?????!!!" One female servant asked.
"How did he look naked?????? Was it big????" Another one asked.
"Did he touch you??" A third one questioned.
"Did he make you have sex with him????????!!!!!!!" The last one screamed.
All the questions were thrown at me so fast that I didn't know how to answer them.
I didn't even know what to say. Suddenly, everyone wanted to know every detail about my encounter with Mr Leo.
They all started talking at once and their voices were so loud.
I was so confused. I tried to explain, but they kept interrupting me.
Cora came to my rescue.
"Quiet. All of you." She yelled.
Everyone stopped talking. But their eyes were still fixed on me.
"Claire. You need to tell us everything." Cora demanded.
She led me to a seat and everyone sat around the table.
They were all staring at me, waiting for me to speak.
I swallowed nervously. What the hell was wrong with this people. Why were they so obsessed with Mr Leo.
I mean yes, Mr Leo was incredibly hot and sexy and his kisses and touch and…..
Oh my! I understood why they were so desperate to know everything.
Mr Leo was indeed the most handsome man in the world. Any woman would fall in love with him.
Including me. I was new here and was already having feelings for him.
"Tell us. What happened when you went into Mr Leo's private room?? Tell us what was in the room. Tell us everything?" Cora asked. She was literally pleading.
The other servants were nodding and murmuring in agreement.
"Ok…Umm… when I entered the room. I saw..uhh whips and chains and leather. And my Leo was sitting on the bed. He was…uhh….He was naked." I stammered.
"Naked?!!" A female servant gasped.
