"what the hell..."
Finishing the message a wave of shock instantly surged throughout his body, like a bolt of lightning. His body now purged with the presence of anxiety, caused him to lose control of himself, causing his phone to slide out of his now sweaty hand.
With a loud "clack" it crashed into the ground.
[What the hell]
[I've been drafted...]
Before he could linger on his thoughts any longer he suddenly heard a series of loud knocks at his door.
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
"Who is it?" Hyuk-joon said, holding onto a faint glimmer of hope. Maybe it was his mum?
"The military, you've been drafted, we're going to need you to come with us"
[Dammit, Dammit, Dammit]
Hyuk-joon's hands began to relinquish maves of sweat as his grip onto hope immediately slipped as he heard those condemning words.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
"Mr kim we're going to need you to come with us! NOW!"
Reluctantly, Kim Hyuk-joon placed his trembling fingers onto the back rest of his sofa and pushed himself forward with the little strength he had left. His mind darting rapidly from one thought to another, trying to do anything but to dwell on his draft.
[Shit, I should call mum, she probably needs to know]
However, before he could turn around to reach for his phone on the floor, his ears were once again flooded with the frustrations of the soldier outside.
"Mr.Kim please come with us now!"
[Shit]
With a short, sharp.sigh Kim Hyuk-joon redirected his gaze towards his door and resumed his walk towards it.
Once he came face to face with his door he grasped the cold metal door knob with his still trebmling palm and slowly twisted it open. The army officer behind Hyuk-joon's door jolted back with the sudden with It's sudden opening.
"Ah! Looks like you've finally decided to answer the door". The officer sarcastically said with a scoff , as he stuck out his hand, ushering Hyuk-joon out of his apartment.
With no choice available than the one presented right in front of him, hyuk-joon begrudgingly stepped out of his doorway, following as the soldier holding a clip board wrapped his arm around his back.
"Come on, we don't have a lot of time"
...
"Arrrgh let go of me! I'm not going! I'm not going!"
Soon hyuk-joon's gaze locked onto the view of a man desperately trying to avoid his Draft, like a gazelle trying to escape the snarling mouth of a lion. The man was quite plump, his belly stuck out through his striped stripped shirt. Hyuk-joo soon raised his eyebrow at the sight---wondering why a man of such an unhealthy size had gotten drafted to combat such a drastic threat.
Soon, along with many other bregudging tenants Hyuk-joon was placed outside his apartment building as an officer of high stature approached the crowd of panicked citizens. Holding a tablet skewered in between his right side and armpit.
Hyuk-joon witness to all this stared on with half-closed and disheveled eyes.
[This is my life now isn't it?]
